65 Chapter 59
Wang's heart thudded in his chest as he looked at Ai, did he possibly remember? Feeling a cold sweat starting to break out, Wang turned his frustration to the girl. "Just shut up already!" he stated annoyed. It's all her fault ah? Why did she need to pop up and start shouting out rubbish?!
Ai blinked slowly, a few dazed memories filling his mind, though fogged and not really giving any answers. But his mood was affected nonetheless. He turned his gaze to the girl who was still gushing about stuff that made no sense to him. It wasn't until Wang had snapped at her, that she finally stopped.
Pressing her lips into a pout, the girl turned her gaze away, shyly kicking the dirt at her feet. "I mean, it's the first person I've found that wasn't some strange NPC that blabbered nonsense ah?" it was clear she felt wronged, but that's besides the point.
Without much time, the girl's mood brightened again. "Since you are stuck here too, that means we are 'stranded' together ah? Then...then it's just us two?!" her comments caused her to blush, the thoughts running through her head were clearly shady.
Wang narrowed his gaze as he crossed his arms over his chest. "I'm not stranded anywhere with you. I'm here of my own free will ah? What do you mean?" he said, feeling a small doubt in his heart. His gaze moved to Ai again, hoping the other wouldn't just run off.
Ai however, pushed the strange memories to the side as he moved over, jumping up onto Wang's shoulder and nuzzling himself against his neck. He didn't understand why, but his heart was uneasy as he looked at the way the girl gazed at Wang.
Pulled from her thoughts again, the girl blinked at the fox, smiling. "Is that your spiritual pet ah? You managed to tame one of the real ones! So cool" her admiration of the person before her going up even higher. Nodding to herself, the girl looked up at Wang with glittering eyes. "Since we are of the same kind, then I can tag along right?" it was clear she had no thoughts of leaving.
Wang frowned as he let out a soft 'tch' sound. Turning his gaze away from her, he reached up to pat Ai's head. "I've already got my partner, I don't need a pest to follow me." he stated coldly.
Biting her lip, the girl pouted again while her eyes watered, looking up at him with a 'weak' and 'pitiful' gaze. "but...I'm alone and a girl ah? I don't understand how but being stuck here was horrible! What more, I always end up being chased by spiritual beasts or other cultivators that want to steal my stuff ah?" she said, trying to appeal to the other.
Wang ignored her once more, walking to the side and returning to looking at the barrier. Maybe if he ignored her enough, she'd go away ba?
Seeing as she was being ignored, the girl let out a small grunt as she moved to stand before Wang again. "I'm Hua Ling!" she said, giving her actual name instead of the 'in game name'. Maybe the other thought she was a male player pretending to be a girl ah?
Seeing that Wang still didn't react, the girl sighed as she moved to sit down, refusing to leave. Instead, she was trying to figure out what to do next. Didn't all those stories about transmigration lead to the same ending ah? The male would protect the beauty and they'd live happily together? Clearly she was the 'female lead' while Wang, as the strongest player from the game, was the 'male lead'?
With the girl no longer rambling, Wang and Ai continued to look for the entry to the realm, both completely ignoring the girl who sat to the side.
Since he felt a strange feeling towards the female, Ai refused to leave Wang's shoulder, staying snuggled against his neck as he looked around, silently sending his own thoughts to Wang. He really didn't know why, but he didn't want to give the girl a chance to be closer to Wang then he was ah!
Wang himself was too busy trying to figure out how to get rid of the annoying insect before she caused Ai to remember what should remain forgotten, that he didn't think too much of how clingy Ai was. Instead, the closeness was making his mood increase instead. Since he wasn't rushing to run away, he most likely didn't remember anything right?
With each of them with their own thoughts, time slowly began to drift by. It wasn't until the moon began to rise that the barrier finally began to react.
Both Wang and Ai glanced at one another, feeling the traces of Spiritual Energy growing stronger as the 'barrier' began to change. When the change finally stopped, the two smiled at one another before easily passing through the barrier, leaving the girl behind!
Hua was still lost in her thoughts, not paying attention as the two disappeared. When she looked up, her gaze moved to looking for Wang, only to find that he was gone? "What he left already?!" she gasped standing up, rushing to where she had last seen the Male and Spiritual beast.
Biting her nail, her gaze darted around, trying to look into the dark cave, hoping to see the male of her dreams still there. "How can he leave me ah?!" With a look of annoyance, Hua grumbled to herself. "Clearly he's going to be tougher than I thought to catch...Still, He's supposed to be my golden finger! My future husband!"
Glancing once more at the cave, the girl bit her lip, before finally taking a step, unknowingly entering the same Secret Realm as the two.
Wang and Ai had already rushed off after entering, finding that this realm was a deep cave, rather than the forest and plain that the other had been.
Not waiting to see if the girl would follow, the two headed in deeper, making sure to keep an eye out for any other dangers. This place would surely be different right?
