193 Serratas vs Celestum Wielders 1
The Serratas have destructive powers comparable to leading Hunters in Earth. They have beams of energy that could destroy walls of camps and even pulverize humans and other cretures that walk the ground.
They're also humanoid with their facial features and their clothes that resembles closely of clothes from Earth. Many have tried to study the Serratas, but their bodies would turn to dust the moment they are caught.
This has caused countless of theories and studies that would arrive nowhere. Serratas are creatures filled with mystery.
"Gwen!" Allen yelled when he saw his friend leaping from the ground as a Serrata chased her. "Run!"
Gwen slammed her right hand on the ground as she leaned forward like she was on a crawling position without her knees bending. She looked at the Serrata and smirked, vanishing as the scorpion's claw travel from her shoulder down to her hand.
The Serrata looked disoriented for a couple of seconds. It was looking around, trying to find Gwen. It was still hovering in the air, not letting itself get lower.
"Take this!" Gwen appeared behind the Serrata. She threw out the scorpion claw like a whip and slashing it across the Serrata's back.
Shriek!
The creature let out a deafening cry that made Gwen lose her balance and fall. She grit her teeth and slammed the scorpion claw on the ground to create a force that counters her fall.
The Serrata hovered by the area Gwen was. It landed on the ground with both feet on the concrete floor and took a couple of steps forward, its eyes glowing with a bright yellow color.
"Ah, sh–"
Gwen was cut off when the beam of energy was fired from the Serrata's eyes. She gaspes when she thought that she would perish, remembering that she still had her support Codes.
In a split second's cast, Gwen managed to create a dense rock formation in front of her. Her shield managed to block the beam of light, but it didn't stop the Serrata from running towards her and throwing a heavy punch on her stomach.
Gwen could only cough out the pain as she rolled away from the impact. She felt as though several of her bones had been shattered into pieces by the force, the woman barely managing to breathe after.
"This is hard!" Gwen growled, healing herself from the pain. This was her advantage after she got the Scorpio Code. It allowed her to have an offensive side while not letting her healing capabilities fall out.
In fact, she would become a threat if she masters the Scorpio Code since she could attack, heal, and defend all at the same time. She looked at her three friends who are battling Serratas on their own. She then glanced at the Serrata that she was fighting.
"I'm not behind them anymore," Gwen said fiercely. She gripped the scorpion claw. "I am not just some healer anymore!"
Gwen ran straight to the Serrata. It fired a beam of light at her once again, but the woman managed to dodge it by pivoting to her right. She used the force from her spin to whip her claw, slashing it at the Serrata and managed to roll around its body two times.
"Gotcha," Gwen grinned. She used as much force as she could to pull the Serrata towards her. She smirked at the creature before she threw it using her weapon.
Like a flail, Gwen threw the Serrata around. She was like a child playing with a ragdoll, except this ragdoll shrieks menacingly.
After a while, when Gwen thinks that the Serrata could no longer move, she slammed it to the ground one more time as much as she could. The woman panted as she approached the creature, still not removing her claw in case it was still alive.
"Are you alive?" Gwen asked. When the Serrata was not moving, she pulled her claw back on a different direction to loosen its grip. She took back her weapon and was about to walk away when the Serrata twiched.
The creature stood, eyes glowing bright. It grinned at Gwen right before it was slammed to the ground by a familiar woman by piercing a dagger on the Serrata's right shoulder. The dagger went straight through this Serrata's shoulder and pierced the ground.
"Serratas vanish when they die," Irene said. "We're here to help."
"We?" Gwen asked. She then felt a tap on her shoulder and Selena walked forward. She conjured a metal rope and tied the Serrata with it. "It can shoot lasers out of its eye."
Selena nodded, conjuring another metal rope which she tied around the Serratas head but making sure that it wasn't tight enough to kill it.
"These are specifically attacking you guys," Irene said. "Did something happen?"
It wasn't a position for Gwen to say anything. She hasn't consulted the others about this, but these people still saved her life. Allen also confesed that he was friends with them in his past which led to one more question.
Gwen stared at Allen who was in the roofs, dodging the Serrata's attacks and trying to fight it. "Why is it only you that transformed?"
"Hiya!" Allen yelled, leaping from roof to roof to try and reach the Serrata who was high up in the air. It was using its beams of energy to attack Allen from a safe distance.
The boy was having a hard time attacking it and his movements were getting sloppier as the moments passed. He was slolwy losing to the creature, but he can't let it do as it wants.
"It seems like these Serratas are created to counter us," Jeremy said, standing behind Allen as he faced his own Serrata. "We're close combat fighters, so they're long ranged fighters. Look at the ones Gary and Gwen are fighting, close ranged Serratas.
"Then," Allen pulled Jeremy's hand and switched their positions so he was now facing the Serrata that Jeremy was fighting. "Let's test this theory with just us."
"I guess this could work too," Jeremy said, spinning his spear in his hand. "After this, I am going to get a hot bath and relax for a day. I'm not going to let anything else stop me!"
