203 Welcome to Barandilla

Lin's mission for Allen and his group was to finally vaniquish Barandilla. She said that their base of operations was back in Earth and what Allen have to do now was to spy on the members that were from Eternity.

"Good job, everyone," their target said to her allies as she exited the portal in Earth. Jeremy, and Gary were disguised as workers that maintain the portal while Gwen was disguised as one of the women from the counter.

"Thank you for your service, Hunter Melissa Dane," Gwen said with a smile. "Here are your belongings."

Gwen handed Melissa the paperwork and the woman nodded at her before exiting the establishment. The portals in earth are located within a building without any name, which were different from Portal Houses.

While these buildings lead to the Otherworlds, only the ones who are already in the Otherworlds that would lead to higher worlds are said to be names as portal houses, these ones were nameless.

"Shes exiting the building," Gwen said to Allen through their spy earpieces. "You better catch up to her or we'll fail this mission."

"I see her," Allen said as he watched Melissa exit the building and meet up with a man in front of a car. He was in Vince's body just so he could escape in case his cover was blown.

"You're finally back," the man hugged Melissa. "Let's go. He is waiting for us."

Melissa entered the car along with the man and drove away. When Allen saw this, he followed them using the car that Lin provided. He had Oliver on top of the buildings to spy on the car while he drove far from them.

Through this way, Melissa won't suspect him of following the since he was a block from them. Oliver was also using the invisibility blanket that Allen borrowed from Jack just so he could follow the car.

"Are you still following them?" Gwen asked to which Allen answered with a yes. "Remember, the base of operations of Barandilla has a large trident on its entrance. Once you see the trident, report back to us."

"Copy that," Allen said. He continued to watch the car through Oliver's eyes until they arrived on a tall building. It was one of the tallest buildings in the city and the most popular due to its unique shape.

"She's entering Fae Tower 214," Allen said. "I'll be following her inside."

Fae Tower 214 was a tall building with a spiral shape and has two hundred and fourteen floors, hence the name. It was built after the Otherworlds appeared when humanity basically skipped a lot of times ahead in terms of technology after acquiring magical materials.

The building was famous for its shape and its height, but never would have anyone imagined that it is also the base operations for an illegal group such as Barandilla.

Melissa finally entered the car and the man was now following her as she headed inside. They were both talking to each other in a professional manner, making Allen wonder what their relationship was.

Not long after, he arrived at the building. He had lost contact with Melissa after she entered since Oliver could only see everything from the outside, so it was now up to him on how to find them.

"Welcome to Fae Tower 214," a woman greeted Allen. "Do you have a reservation?"

"I'm afraid no," Allen said.

The woman pursed her lips, "Unfortunately, sir, we don't cater those who do not have any reservations. We would gladly book you one right now if you could just follow me–"

"It's alright."

Allen looked to the side and saw Melissa walk up to him. "He's with me."

The boy gulped as he was now following Melissa and the man. He wasn't too worried about being caugt since this is only a Body, what he was worried about was if they fail their mission.

But judging from what just happened, he could already consider this mission as a failure.

"You've been following us," Melissa mentioned. "Why is that?"

"Oh," Allen paused. "I wanted to join Barandilla."

Melissa hummed. "Do you know what's the first rule of Barandilla?"

"No," Allen replied honestly. "That's why I want to join you. I want to learn a lot more and get powerful to help more people in need."

"You're cute," Melissa laughed lightly.

They finally arrived at their destination, a large door with a trident at the center. Allen's original body immediately called Lin and told her his location.

"This is our base of operations," Melissa said. "And I'm the third captain of Barandilla. That means I'm the third strongest member."

Allen bowed. "Then it is my honor to have met you, madam."

"Oh, no need to be polite," Melissa laughed. "I just wonder why you could follow us from a block away. Unless you have an accomplice?"

"I have a pet raven, ma'am," Allen lied. He could immediately made up a reason since he has prepared for this. Lin even gave him a Code for a pet raven that shares their master's sight just so he could make the lie believable.

"Oh," Melissa pursed her lips. "You are somewhat of a creative mind, aren't ya?"

"Ma'am, I am only doing whatever it is that I want," Allen said. "And I really want to join your group so I could get stronger."

"Barandilla needs more creative minds like you have," Melissa said. "But we don't need weaklings."

She conjured a spear that she thrust forward. Allen dodged the spear by rolling to the side and conjur Vince's weapon which was now a broadsword. "Madam? I don't understand."

"Then let me make you!" Melissa yelled and approahced Allen. She started slashing her spear repeatedly, crashing it with the sword that Allen held with both of his hands.

"Madam, I do not wish to fight you," Allen tried to say as he maintained a defensive stance. "Please, stop madam."

"Stop telling me what to do!" Melissa shrieked. "Die!"

Allen do not understand what was happening, but it seems like he had no choice but to fight back.

Using his sword, he slid the spear under him and leaped to air kick Melissa in the face. The woman was blown by the force, landing on the ground while the man who was with her only smirked.

Allen fake panted, dragging his sword on the ground as he approached Melissa. "Madam, I am so sorry–"

"Hiya!" Melissa kicked Allen on the stomach. She spun her body as she stand and took her spear. She thrust it forward once again, but Allen still defended it with the broadsword.

Melissa growled and swung her spear to the other direction. She kept slashing her weapon at Allen, not letting the boy retaliate from her continuous rain of attacks.

"Madam, please stop it," Allen said, but Melissa still won't stop.

He wasn't having a hard time dealing with Melissa, but he was worried that his mission would fail if he hurt her.

"That's enough." A voice spoke a couple of minutes into their fight. "Melissa, what behavior are you showing?"

"Sir, I'm just testing him," Melissa replied, keeping her spear back. "He's good."

"That's great," the man said and revealed himself. "Welcome to Barandilla."
