218 The Eels
A tall figure appeared from the thick dark clouds. This put a smirk on Libra's face as she ascended right next to the figure.
"Pisces," Cory grit his teeth. He raised his hand and fire a white beam of energy right toward the figure. Pisces only swiped his hand up, creating a forcefield that blocked the beam entirely.
"As if we're done here," Ash grunted. She waved her hands in the air and brush strokes appeared out of nowhere. "Painting of the Haunted."
The blank ink spun around, like small tops before firing a rain of smaller, but more black beams of energy at Pisces.
This time, the man opened both of his palms in front of him to create a flower from light. The flower opened and absorbed all attacks, creating the black physical properties. Pisces then threw the flower in their direction.
Cory sighed and launched himself toward the flower. He created a giant umbrella above him as the flower exploded into a giant explosion.
It was so powerful that even when he blocked most of the attack, the force from the explosion still managed to pin them down to the ground.
"How pathetic," Pisces sighed. "I actually expected something more from you. But it turns out you're really not something that is worthy of my time."
The man ascended back to the clouds, making Libra shake her head and pull him back down. "What are you saying? We are far from done. I am still not able to get my revenge."
"You want to fight them, do it alone," Pisces said. "You're strong enough."
Libra pulled Pisces toward her. Her eyes were wide in anger, her nose seething with smoke. "You will stay and help me fight them. If you go back to the camp, I will make sure that Leo will know of your little secret."
This seemed to faze Pisces. The man straightened his posture and cleared his throat. He fixed his tie and sighed. "Fine. I will help you slay them. But if Leo ever knows about that, I will drag you along with me."
Neither Allen's friends nor the Gemini, Cory, and Ash knew what they were talking about. They were discussing things secretly, but their voices were still loud enough to be heard from the ground.
"Then, let us continue," Pisces said. He waved his hand and created four spheres that were of different sizes. "The fish shall massacre."
The spheres slowly cracked one by one. It turns out, that these spheres were eggs, and inside were fishes that had different looks.
The biggest one was like the black fish, Yin, but it was a hammerhead shark this time. There was another that looked like a small great white shark, another was a lionfish that was ten times the size of a normal lionfish, and the last one was a stingray that was the size of half of the black fish.
"Rain on their parade," Pisces commanded, and the fish dove to the ground.
Allen raised his sword and defended themselves from the attack. It was odd because there wasn't any actual attack that was fired at them. The fish would just swim and slam their bodies toward them.
"There's something going on here," Allen said. "We need to be careful."
They continued to defend and dodge the attacks. "Cory, Ash, what do we do about these?"
Allen asked, but nobody answered. He looked around and realized that the two were missing. They were nowhere to be found.
He tried to ask the others, but they haven't seen either of the twins. This started to confuse and worry Allen. Where the two were, he was hoping that they were safe.
Meanwhile, in a space that was far from the camp, Cory and Ash were fighting against a group of giant eels. The eels were the size of a mature anaconda snake, which would reach about thirty feet long.
The eels coiled around each other and the two were at the center. It was hard to penetrate the hard skin of the eel and physical attacks were ineffective because they would shock anyone who tries to approach them.
"How is my little present?" Libra asked from the outside. "You're not the only one thinking of something against your rival."
"How did you manage to do this?" Ash growled. "Do you have spatial ability too?"
"Bingo," Libra laughed out loud. "I used a spatial Code to transport all of us here along with those eels. Of course, I escaped them while they were still hatching, and now here you are."
It wasn't a question of how Libra was still a powerful foe. The cracking of the eggs, traveling, and escaping take time and mastery of timing. Libra managed to do all of those at once.
"You helped him with this?" Cory asked. "You also have a grudge against us?"
"Not exactly," Libra smirked. "In fact, the two of you were one of my closest allies. It's just that Pisces and I share a deeper bond and no one can break that bond."
"You share a secret and is afraid of Leo," Ash said. "You share both of these things and now the two of you are trying to group together so you think you can handle anything."
"That's what you've been doing all this time," Libra grit her teeth in anger. "Don't act like either of you are innocent. We killed the Gems together. You have been an accomplice from the start and nothing can change that."
"There is," Cory yelled. He held Ash's hands and intertwined their fingers as they looked away from each other. "This is."
"Castor."
"Pollux."
"Defiant Twinning."
A thick black aura appeared around Ash while a thick white one appeared on Cory. The auras wrapped around each other before merging, forming a thick beam of aura that fired above them.
This caused the eels to coil faster. Their movements sped up by two times and this was noticed by the twins.
"What is this power?" Libra asked. "Those eels are powerful enough to withstand even Leo's power."
The beam got bigger and bigger until it became too big that the eels vanished into thin air. They were swallowed by the power that they disintegrated.
"You, Pisces, Leo, all of you.." Ash trailed off. "Even if you group together, nothing has changed."
"You're all alone in the end," Cory continued. "And we're not. And this makes us stronger than any of you will ever be."
They let go of one hand and faced Libra together. Swords appeared on their free hands and they dashed through the woman. Her eyes widened after she didn't expect for all of those to happen all at once.
She was speechless.
"Libra, you're too much," Ash said. "Has anyone told you that?"
Libra tried to turn, but she was already cut into three. Each of the twins would slash their sword at her, cutting her into three pieces.
Her body fell to the ground and her Celestum escaped her body. The twins hid their presence as the Celestums tried to find its new host.
Feeling the nearest presence, the Celestum became a bright meteor-like thing that launched itself to the camp.
"I hope they find the right person," Ash said.
Cory sighed and nodded. "I hope so too."
