Volume 10, 30: Ming Luoxin
When I returned to the house, I realized that I was the only person who was transported.
Oyado, Aliyah and Melody were all surprised to see me, but they were even more surprised to see the blue cheongsam girl beside me.
Well, I don’t know her name because she didn’t have any other information aside from her HP bar.
Does this mean that I stumbled into an area that World-chan hadn’t interfered with? So her data hadn’t been designed yet?
However, she solved the embarrassing problem for me.
“My name is Ming Louxin, the 8th Cold Hell overseer. Today I am here for the Silverfish Scripture. Everyone, please lend your help.”
After hearing her introduction her HP updated to show her name and level.
Oh my god.... Level 120?
I involuntarily swallowed.
That’s a terrifying level. In other words, there wouldn’t even be the slightest issue if this guy wanted to pull us out a couple of blocks into the streets. If we were killed, would we even know what hit us?
It makes me think of a time when I was playing an online game. I saw an enemy camp fishing in a neutral zone. I wasn’t able to see their levels and I rushed over and hit them....
And then I died.
Well the situation is similar now, but she isn’t hostile to us. Additionally, having a level above our opponents might be helpful.
We don’t have the so-called Silverfish Scripture after all.
“That....just now....Felicia, why did you suddenly disappear and reappear?”
Aliyah asked, frowning.
“That’s right elder sister. You suddenly disappeared and it really surprised us.”
Oyado echoed.
“Well, I went to Hell a moment ago....”
While I feel that description is problematic, there isn’t anything fundamentally wrong with it.
“Hell....”
Aliyah looked thoughtfully at Ming Luoxin and turned to me.
“So the person in front of us is in charge of Hell?”
“I am not.”
Ming Luoxin answered her.
“I am the overseer of the 8th Cold Hell, not the entirety of Hell. Lord Ming is ruler of Hell.”
It seems that Hell is quite complicated.
historical
But if that’s the case, is Hell for the Eastern Continent and the Abyss of Demons for the Western Continent?
Why is it so complicated? If the Demon King and Lord of Hell fought who would be stronger?
Well, forget it. It doesn’t matter to me even if they are strong or weak.
“So the Abyss and Hell aren’t the same thing. Well, I think I get it. That means that the master of this house sent Felicia to Hell and you brought her back up.... to find something called the Silverfish Scripture, right?”
Aliyah asked.
“Exactly.”
“Well, we are looking for the master of this house.”
“I understand, the Silverfish Scripture might not have a name that sounds gentle, but it is a secret method that can control undeath. If an average person uses it then it will cause chaos. I can feel that someone in this house has used techniques that violate the natural order, one of them was the spell that banished thou to Hell. But they didn’t expect that I would bring you back, so they have felt that their spell has failed and taken the magical backlash.”
Ming Luoxin said with a smile before looking around.
“This is the Western Continent isn’t it? I’ve never been here before and I heard it was an interesting place.”
“Interesting....well, sort of. Anyways I’ve never been idle.”
“Hahaha~ That’s great. Now that I am here, I will just take a stroll since thou has said it. They are watching us from above.”
At Ming Luoxin’s words we all looked up.
A middle aged man was looking down at us from the third floor. I could tell from how he was wiping the corners of his mouth with a handkerchief that he was seriously injured.
It seems that the so-called backlash was there and he was still badly hurt.
At his side was Melody’s mother, who we had just beaten back. It was eerie seeing the two of them together.
In particular, her father’s pale face made him look like a zombie.
“So it was like that. The anti-soul technique. Thou has almost learned the Silverfish Scripture. But is it really ok to use the fragments of other person’s soul to supplement the missing parts?”
“Missing parts....”
Melody’s mother was the first to react.
She looked at her husband in a panic and he nodded blankly.
“Why! I thought you said that it wouldn’t cause my soul to loose anything!”
“Hmph. If only things were so simple. Your soul dissipated so quickly that it was fortunate that I was able to save most of it.”
“What....”
‘Well well, thou will have to wait until later to quarrel. Now give me the Silverfish Scripture or....I will have to take it.”
“....”
Melody’s father was silent for a moment before suddenly smiling.
“You mean that shabby old book? It’s long gone. I knew all that I needed to know so it was useless.”
“Who gave you the book? Snake Eyes?”
“Snake Eyes....well, it’s probably like you said. They didn’t tell me. They only said that the book probably had something I wanted and lent it to me.”
“That’s generous. It’s a treasure that everyone is fighting over. But.... since thou comprehends its usage, thou cannot exist here.”
Then, Ming Luoxin pointed towards him.
“Banish.”
Just by drawing a circle in the air, a hole opened up behind Melody’s father and mother. Before we could react, the two of them were sucked in and the path closed.
At the same time there was the sound of something breaking. In an instant the dim surroundings slowly brightened up!
Aliyah and I looked at each other. I could feel a cold sweat.
The gap is too great. It’s a good thing she isn’t an enemy.
At the same time, there was the sound of the front door crashing down. Right after that a group of people rushed in. Judging based on their clothes, they were Saints.
Right after that I saw Yerbil’s trio rushing over.
But as they came up, they saw us, looked around and asked.
“Where’s Fir?”
I’m right here. Well, you can’t see me.
Not can’t see, rather it’s that you can’t recognize me.
I silently laughed in my heart.
“Big brother isn’t here. Did you see big brother come in?”
“Er....not really....that’s....did you destroy the necromancer?”
“No, it was Ming Luoxin....”
Right when I said that I realized that Ming Luoxin had gone missing at some point.
All right. I’ll take it.
