The Typhoon’s Dangerous Wife

Chapter 216 - FAYE: The LITTLE PRINCESS

Long Jie didn't know why Lord Tang hid this matter, but if there was one thing that Xin Zhenyi taught him, it was to keep their children protected at any cost. And so, Xin Yichen had protected his daughter by never announcing her birth and keeping her identity hidden.

Therefore, he could understand the reasons behind this action of Lord Tang if not completely understood it.

The little girl was staring at him.. no, she was examining his intentions. No wonder, she was Lord Tang's daughter.

Long Jie took a few steps towards them, still not breaking their eye contact. She was still examining her.

Long Jie gave her a nervous smile. He didn't know how to behave with kids of her age. Heck, he didn't know how to behave with kids at all. If he could protect his child, who knew she would be as beautiful as her one day.

'No. No. Just don't think about it.'

Nevertheless, he went near her and sat on the stool next to her bed. He blinked his eyes at her and she blinked back. Her green eyes were blank except for curiosity and a little spec of interest too.

What an interesting child!

"Hello, angel," Long Jie said in his usual husky voice. "I am your Uncle Jie, but you can call me Ah-Jie as your dad does."

Feng Siyan glanced at him and a look of marvel present in his eyes. He knew Long Jie would have figured it out once he had seen her face to face because the little princess was the exact replica of her father except for her eyes and the chin cleft.

"Little princess, that's your uncle Jie as he said now," Feng Siyan said with a soft and soothing voice. If Gu Tian was there to see the scene, he would die out of shock. "Remember, I told you that you will be spending the vacation with your Uncle Jie?"

She finally gave a response other than blinking. She nodded at Feng Siyan's words. historical

"Miss Xiya will be packing all of your favorite stuff for the vacation. You know where your Uncle Jie lives, there is a lot of sunshine and ocean. You love the ocean and sun, don't you?"

She nodded again.

Feng Siyan asked her a lot of questions and talked a lot about Long Jie too.

She nodded at all the questions in response.

Long Jie didn't know if the nod was the answer to all of the questions asked or she didn't know any other reply.

No. It seemed she did know someone different from her nod.

It was the shake of the head as in no.

"Would you like to ask your Uncle Jie another question?" Feng Siyan asked her.

She shook her head.

Well...very good.

Long Jie turned to Feng Siyan as the little princess ran out of the bed to assist Miss Xiya with packing. "Ah-Siyan, why isn't she talking to me? Did I do something in a wrong way that she hates me?"

Long Jie was worried sick. He didn't know what to do if this little princess started hating him. He had fallen for this little princess the moment he saw her inquisitive green eyes. He didn't like children before but this little princess was different from many children he had encountered.

Most of all, she was his only niece. Lord Tang's daughter. It was natural her status in his heart would be sacred and high.

He didn't know what's with eyes and him!

He fell for Zhenyi because it was her eyes that drew him towards him, and even in this case, it was her blank green eyes filled with curiosity which had drawn his attention.

"No. The little princess doesn't hate you." Feng Siyan's answer did nothing to soothe his growing tension.

"Then, why did she only answer the questions you asked, not by me?" Long Jie retorted.

Feng Siyan gave him a sad smile. "She doesn't speak to anyone else either."

Long Jie froze. It meant..No, God couldn't be so cruel, could He be?

"She can't...speak?" Long Jie stammered. He knew the pain of not being able to express himself in words. He had experienced it quite well. All he could say, it was not a good experience at all.

So, he would never wish for the little princess who had captured his heart with her blank look, to not know how to utter the world. He had been there once and he knew the pain of not being able to speak more than anyone.

What an irony! Lord Tang helped him in finding his words, and today after so many years later, his own daughter was forfeited from this gift of the Almighty God.

Feng Siyan nodded his head. "She can...but she doesn't.."

Seeing Long Jie's perplexed expression, Feng Siyan hurried to explain.

"She chose not to speak at all. We all have been waiting to finally hear the words spoken by her, but it seemed like our little princess really wanted us to wait for it."

Feng Siyan's way of talking was showing how much he loved the little princess. His manner of speech didn't show his usual behavior. The Feng Siyan he knew was withdrawn and cold to the bones, but the man who was conversing with her was the epitome of warmth and tenderness. That's not how one treated their master's child, it completely showed what that little girl meant to him too.

"If she wants us to wait...then, so be it. Whenever she is ready to share her words with us, we will be there for her."

It was a vow. And perhaps, the little princess didn't know yet what his uncles would be willing to do for her sake. She would be loved and cared for by Long Jie as if her own, and there was nothing and nobody who could change it.

"Ah-Jie, you can't stay in London for long with the little princess, and you shouldn't return to China soon either," said Feng Siyan with a warning. " Moreover, I will appreciate your brother's assistance until I don't clean the organization of all the rats."

Pest control was needed. Again.

Long Jie nodded. "Wei and Yuan will be at your service. Don't worry, they won't ask you any questions that they shouldn't. Don't go easy on Yuan, you may not know what he is capable of. "

Feng Siyan agreed.

"Make sure Cyrus and Yuan don't come face to face. If they did...I dare not fathom what will be the outcome.."

Feng Siyan grunted. Who didn't know the rivalry between? the infamous Long Yuan and mysterious Cyrus.

"Mr. Feng?"

Both of the men turned to find an elderly lady who had clutched the little princess's hand in hers calling Feng Siyan.

Long Jie assumed her to be Miss Xiya which Feng Siyan was talking about.

"Little Princess's luggage is ready?"

"Yes, Mr. Feng, I have gotten everything ready as you asked last night."

Long Jie glanced at Feng Siyan and asked," You knew I would agree even before asking me?"

Feng Siyan pressed his lips in a thin line.

Long Jie shook his head, striding forward he kneeled on the ground leveling equal to the little princess's height. He rubbed her head and kissed her temple.

"What's our little princess's name?" Long Jie asked. Although the little princess suited her, still he couldn't keep on calling little princess.

"Faye," the answer came from the elderly woman.

Long Jie had never heard this name before so obviously he didn't know what it literally meant.

Perhaps as if Feng Siyan could hear his thoughts, he answered. "Faye, meaning a form of faith."

Long Jie nodded. He wrapped his arms around Faye's body and picked her up. He then glanced at Feng Siyan and said, "I assume that I can't come back to Europe now?"

Feng Siyan said," You must not come to Europe as long as little princess is with you. Ah-Jie, please keep her safe. She is master's life."

"Don't worry. I will stay with her myself as long as Brother is unwell. I shall come back to China once he returns."

Yes. This was the plan Feng Siyan had in mind. Once Lord Tang was ready to go back, Long Jie would return to China with Faye too.

"Fia, we are leaving for vacation. Lots of ocean and lots of sun," said Long Jie, smiling at the little princess. "What else do you like?"

Faye blinked at him. He ruffled her hair as he found her too adorable.

"We are leaving, Ah-Siyan."

Faye waved goodbye to Feng Siyan who blew a kiss in return, and then, she wrapped her hands around Long Jie's neck and rested her head on his shoulders.

And like this, Long Jie and Tang Faye left.
