Chapter 32 - A Catastrophe
He'd totally screwed up.
And he needed to fix it. Fast.
He never thought a reckless statement could result in such a big dispute.
It had been just a few hours since he saw his fiance for the first time. And since then they had done nothing but argued and quarreled.
Xin Zhenyi was right. He was an entitled arrogant asshole. Since he met her, he had done nothing but accused her. She was not weak and she didn't even need me. But he needed her by his side not against.
So, he left. He left her standing in the corridor. He left the Xin Mansion before even his father and brothers.
He left not because he did not need this marriage but he need both marriage and her. And if he didn't leave perhaps he would lose his cat-eyes and the marriage too.
She might hate him, but he had to make sure she stayed by his side. Forever. The image of those smoking eyes was etched in his mind. He crossed a boundary today that he was never supposed to cross but he realized it too late.
He fucked up.
He fucked up the only relationship he was going to have with the woman that was stuck in his mind since the time he saw her. He fucked up with the woman whose eyes promised him thousands of stories. Those lethal and deadly eyes.
They were like a volcano and a typhoon. It was rare , the two meet. But when they did it was catastrophic.
They were the walking, talking juxtaposition of catastrophe and disaster. But they belong together even if they were the catastrophe in making.
There was no one who deserved to be his woman. But her. Only her. historical
