Chapter 674 - Powerful Underling
Regardless, the way back home was still not going to be that easy. It was not just because of how perilous the Abyssal Ocean was but also other factors of risk one would expect travelling in the ocean.
As they were moving forward, suddenly everything around them turned dark. Then, as winds blew violently, rain started to pour down from the sky.
It was a storm!
During the storm, Qin Feng and Yu Yangtao quickly hid in the Glutton Leviathan’s gigantic skull. They could feel, again, just how huge the Glutton Leviathan was while also witnessing just how destructive a storm could be in the ocean.
Right now, Qin Feng had only one option and that was to have the Glutton puppet dive deep into the sea and slowly move forward underwater. Yet, when he did that, they found an underwater rift. They were really close to being sucked into the rift.
And... as they were trying to navigate around the thing, an A-tier sea beast appeared from within the rift.
Qin Feng did not opt to fight with the A-tier sea beast. Instead, he ordered the Glutton puppet to flee, with them hiding inside its skull.
From the first day Qin Feng was announced missing, he had spent the first day taking on the Glutton Leviathan, and then spent the next two days travelling on the ocean with Yu Yangtao before finally getting out of Abyssal Ocean.
“Beep Beep Beep!”
Qin Feng’s communicator finally received signals from the shore. There were a lot of messages and voicemails—most of them from He Jia.
Since everyone reassured her that there was no way Qin Feng was dead, He Jia kept on with her efforts in trying to get in contact with him. Nonetheless, the amount of messages that she sent to him on the third day was much lesser than the days before.
“Beep Beep Beep!”
He Jia was calling Qin Feng’s number again. This time, her communicator was not giving her a message saying that it could not connect to Qin Feng’s communicator; instead, it was the sound that it had connected and was waiting for him to pick up.
Then, she could hear a click from the other side. And then, a familiar face showed up on her communicator’s virtual screen.
“Hey, Assistant He!” Qin Feng nodded to He Jia.
“Governor Qin! You’re alive!” He Jia was so excited that she almost cried out in joy.
Qin Feng nodded again. “Yeap. I’m alive and well!”
“Oh, I’m sorry. I didn’t mean anything ill. I meant... I’m so happy to see that you’re alive! Are you hurt? Where are you right now?”
He Jia threw a series of questions at Qin Feng before calming down and looking at Qin Feng.
It had already been three days since they last met and Qin Feng’s skin seemed to have darkened a little from bathing under the sun. His clothes were still very neat and not torn or damaged at all.
He Jia did not know that Qin Feng had the Sacred Armor on him; so, it was not possible for his clothes to endure any damage. And Qin Feng did not seem to be hurt or wounded too.
“I’m now out of the Abyssal Ocean. As such, I should be able to come back to the dock soon. If it’s possible, could you book a dock for me so that I could come back in secret? I want to keep a low profile so that I would not cause a scene.”
“Ah! Is there something wrong?”
“Let’s just say that I’ve brought a trophy. You’ll see soon enough. Alright, I’m hanging up. I’ve been away for several days now so I need to get in contact with my friends and underlings too.”
“Ah, alright. See you later, Governor Qin!”
He Jia hung up before she was able to get her answers. However, it was certain that Qin Feng was coming back from the waters. As such, she went straight to the port.
After hanging up, Qin Feng had contacted other people too.
The first one was Bai Li.
“Oh, Hubby~ you’re back! You look well!”
“Oh, am I not allowed to call if I’m not doing well?”
“Teehee! Well, if you call me, I can teleport straight to your side. So, do you miss me? You’re missing me, right? Hmm Hmm~ I knew it. You must be missing me. You’re so clingy!”
“Okay, Okay! I do miss you!” Qin Feng smiled.
“Oh well, of course you do. So, do you want me to go to you right away?”
“I have an ability user with me at the moment. Perhaps we should meet at night instead.”
“Alright! And... I miss you too!”
Hehe, she was still a cute vixen.
...
“Hey, Zhou Hao! It’s me!”
“Haha, Qin Feng! You’re back? I knew it. You’re not going to die that easily. It’s already like a norm for you to just go missing for a day or two!”
“Haha! How’s the organization?”
“Nothing much happened. A few underground groups heard about you going missing and tried to come messing with us. They were all taken care of by our little Miss Bai.”
“Okay, got it! I’ll hang up now. I’ve got to speak to the others too.”
...
“Governor, good to have you back. The East Sea City’s business is going well. So, should we resume the plan?”
“Sure, go ahead. Have Guo Guan bring some men over. Oh, and bring in some techs too. Especially the one with Bio-mechanics!”
“Certainly, Sir!”
...
After contacting everyone, Qin Feng could finally give it a rest. Meanwhile, Yu Yangtao too was contacting his underlings. After ending his call, his face turned really grim!
During the time when he was missing, his entire organization was thrown into complete disarray. In fact, the organization was now taken apart by his underlings who took a lot of the organization’s money and had run away. Many ability users that he had crossed before were now laughing behind his back, and attempted to sabotage his organization further.
His entire legacy was now completely ruined, leaving only 1% of its former glory!
After ending his call, Yu Yangtao looked at Qin Feng. He recalled that they had a lot of rune equipment in his dimension pockets... and those great amounts of the Glutton Leviathan’s flesh and blood.
Perhaps things were not as dire as it appeared to be.
Those flesh and blood alone were not only enough to restart his organization but also yielded a lot of earnings!
Usually, managing a business required persistence and careful planning. It was the first time for Yu Yangtao to head out to hunt and then come back with a table-turning haul!
After seeing Qin Feng hanging up, Yu Yangtao made a decision.
“So, you’re expanding your business to East Sea City?”
Qin Feng took a glance at Yu Yangtao and smiled. He could guess what he was thinking about.
“Yeah, I’m invested in doing business in the city. So, what’s going on with you? You look horrible after making those calls.”
“Sigh. What else? There was news about me being dead. So, in just three days, my business... my entire organization is in complete ruins. Even many of my women had run away!”
Qin Feng said, “But you’re still alive. You can still earn back what you lost.”
“Indeed. You know, I envy you. Your organization is so stable despite all those rumours.”
“If you want to, we’d always welcome you to join us.”
“You’re... you’re not kidding, right?”
“Of course I’m not kidding!”
“Hahaha! Then... I’ll be shameless for this once and apply to be under your employment then!”
“Oh, no. Please don’t say that, Mr Yu. Your capability alone is enough to be the chief of operations of my branch in East Sea City!”
“Hahaha, don’t you worry, President Qin! I’ll not let you down!”
The two men then extended their hands for a firm handshake. Qin Feng was calm but Yu Yangtao was extremely excited.
Right now, this was different from the time with Fu Wenjue and He Liming. Those times, Qin Feng was merely working together with them. But this time! Yu Yangtao was going to be Qin Feng’s first B-tier underling!
This meant that Qin Feng’s status and power right now had risen to a new height!

East Sea Port.
He Jia’s hovercopter had arrived at high speed. She anxiously looked around and could not find Qin Feng anywhere yet.
She let out a sigh of relief. It seemed that Qin Feng was not here yet, which meant that she was not late.
Still, she could not help but feel nervous. Just when would this Governor Qin arrive?
It was then, the port’s alarm started to screech like a wraith!
“Beep Beep Beep Beep Beep!!!”
Then, He Jia’s communicator showed a black, terrifying warning.
“Warning: an A-tier beast emperor presence has been detected 20km away. Please retreat to safety!”
