This Earth Is A Bit Fearsome

Chapter 649 - Meeting People at Deep Sea

Chapter 649: Meeting People at Deep Sea

Hurry up!

Hurry up!

Hurry up!

The man and the snake zipped about in the deep sea like two bolts of lightning.

Lu Xuan cast the Water Dispelling Chant and Ten Thousand Mile Rainbow as he ran like crazy.

He ran as fast as he could.

He moved so fast that not even the missiles on Earth would have been able to keep up; he was moving several times faster than the speed of sound.

What was even more terrifying was that the snake behind Lu Xuan somehow managed to keep up with Lu Xuan.

One could imagine just how terrifying it would’ve been for a snake to move in the ocean several times as fast as the speed of sound.

It was some kind of water elemental spell.

Boom!

The entire ocean was exploding in various places. The places that the two treaded parted almost immediately; it was as if they had been sliced open by extremely sharp blades.

The scene was utterly harrowing.

Lu Xuan never thought that he would run into such a monster right after coming to the Holy Sun Continent. He hadn’t even been able to fully comprehend the situation he was in yet.

“Advent of the Thunder Dragon!”

As he performed a seal right away, boundless Spiritual Aether instantly boiled. He was unable to borrow ambient lightning and thunder aura in the deep sea, as the only energies around in the water were that of water aura.

As such, he had to rely only on his own powers to cast that spell.

A massive thunder dragon about the same size as the snake monster appeared baring its fangs and claws. It then launched itself right at that snake monster right away.

Roar!

That snake monster roared and opened its mouth wide to spit out a massive bubble.

That massive bubble moved like a water dragon, tearing that thunder dragon apart in an instant. That supposedly almighty thunder dragon was torn to pieces right away.

It couldn’t even begin to pose a threat to that snake monster at all.

That snake monster continued chasing after Lu Xuan adamantly as if it had just stumbled upon something delicious.

The two figures zipped about like bolts of lightning in the pitch-black sea.

As the wind howled around, waves measuring over 100 meters tall raged at the surface of the seemingly bottomless ocean. It looked as if the waves were about to tear the sky apart.

A ship that measured over 300 meters in length and about 100 meters in width tore through the waves as it traveled across the surface.

Any wave that hit the vessel would be blocked by some invisible barrier, preventing it from damaging the vessel’s hull.

A slender woman with chiseled features stood at the bow of that massive ship, wearing a light yellow dress and a worried look in her eyes.

Even though the ship was traveling on the raging waves, everything looked so stable on the ship that it might as well have been traveling on flatland.

No matter how strong and menacing it seemed, the ship was able to cleave right through any wave.

Footsteps were heard from far away. An elder wearing a white robe was walking up quickly to stand beside that woman wearing the light yellow dress.

The elder wore a respectful expression and said in a low tone, “My lady, his injuries have stabilized. He should be fine. He’ll be able to fully recover after resting for two months.”

The woman in the light yellow dress said, “Thank you, Uncle Chang. If Elder Huang never got in the way of that monster on this trip out to search for longevity grass, we would probably have had a lot more trouble with the trip. We should prepare something for him when we got home.”

The elder, who seemed to be called ‘Uncle Chang’, nodded. He knew of the significance of the longevity grass that they embarked on a strip to search for. One could’ve even said that the item represented the clan’s livelihood.

“My lady, look. What is that?”

The elder who was named ‘Uncle Chang’ pointed forward.

The woman in the light yellow dress looked up and saw a figure passing by in the waves of that raging surface of the sea. That figure even managed to rise to the surface of the ocean and get thrown into the air while the waves raged on below him.

What looked peculiar was that the figure did not submerge underwater. Instead, the figure was hovering about on the surface.

That figure then rose to the air like a cannonball, heading straight for their ship.

The barrier that protected the ship was then torn apart by a bolt of lightning.

The figure then landed on the ship. Only then did the woman and Uncle Chang saw that the figure was a young man covered in blood all over.

That milky white robe that he wore was torn in certain parts, yet it was entirely stained with blood.

That young man was none other than Lu Xuan, who just escaped from certain death beneath the surface.

He felt quite a headache as soon as he was reminded of that deep-sea snake monster. That thing had been chasing after him for a whole day, so much so that he almost ended up dead in its mouth. He was fortunate to have only emerged out of the situation with severe injuries.

His powers sharply dropped. He couldn’t even bring about powers that were at the level of Divine Transformation Realm, to begin with.

He was left with less than a tenth of what he was capable of.

He was so cornered that he had to resort to using Turtle Breaths to erase his presence and escape unscathed.

After running into such situations so many times back in his previous life, he was already accustomed to it. Thus, he did not think much of it.

However, having his powers drop so sharply was still unfavorable at the moment. The injuries that he sustained were severe, as that snake monster was at least at the ninth tier of the Divine Transformation Realm of powers. That meant that it was far more powerful than he currently was. Even though he had made use of some forbidden skills, it only allowed him to barely escape the snake but still suffer quite a loss.

He would have needed at least half a month before he could bring his powers back to the Divine Transformation Realm level.

With how terrifying the snake monster is, he could confirm that it had to definitely be a descendant of some far ancient species.

Based on the current situation, however, he seemed to have landed on someone else’s ship.

At first, he thought that he still had to drift about for quite some time. However, he was not in any immediate danger while he was still in his Turtle Breaths state, which enabled him to put up a certain measure of defense.

If he was desperate enough, he could also return his powers to the Divine Transformation Realm for a short while.

“Be careful, my lady!”

Uncle Chang stood before the woman dressed in light yellow.

“I’m sorry. I mean no harm. I’d just like to rest on your ship for a little while.”

As Lu Xuan grinned, blood trickled from the corner of his mouth.

The two standing across him were not so easily convinced by what he just said.

Things over there were not like on Earth, which had little else to worry about other than raging waves.

In the deep seas of many extraterrestrial worlds, terrifying monsters were indeed lurking beneath the surface.

Lu Xuan had run into so many situations like this. The ship that he was standing on was fully capable of cleaving its way through the waves. That meant that any monsters in the sea would be crushed as soon as they came close, incapable of posing any threat to him at all.

Then again, safety was not guaranteed. There were still many terrifying creatures under the water surface capable of tearing that ship apart. For instance, that deep-sea snake monster that Lu Xuan ran into earlier could easily shatter that massive ship to bits just by grazing it.

To make matters worse, a kind of people still roamed the seas without regard to the other worlds around them: they were the pirates.

Pirates were usually a bloodthirsty bunch who would usually massacre the crew of a whole ship. Furthermore, they moved like the wind, making them very difficult to capture.

If Lu Xuan were in their shoes, he would not have been so easily convinced by someone who just appeared out of nowhere either.
