Fierce Ex-wife: President, Please Be Careful

Chapter 184 - I’m Serious (2)

Chapter 184: I’m Serious (2)

“A misunderstanding?” Mu Tingfeng quirked his eyebrow and seemingly found Sun Fengzi’s remarks interesting.

“That’s right. It’s only a misunderstanding. Yifei is still young and naive. He originally wanted to crack a joke with Youlin. Who would have thought he went overboard with his joke and ended up upsetting Youlin. All in all, it was.. his fault. After he is discharged from the hospital, we’ll certainly give him a piece of our mind and ask him to apologize to Youlin.”

Zhao Youlin narrowed her eyes. She thought to herself that Sun Fengzi was really someone who could forgo something which she just did. She turned one-eighty in her attitude. No wonder she was an aristocrat’s daughter. Zhao Youlin had belittled her previously.

Zhao Youlin leaned on Mu Tingfeng and cast a playful glance at Sun Fengzi. She smiled faintly and said, “Aunt, I’m relieved that you say so. I wish my younger cousin could be discharged from the hospital soon. I’m.. very much looking forward to seeing him apologizing to me.”

Sun Fengzi’s expression darkened as she looked at Zhao Youlin. Sun Fengzi was so angry that her eyeballs were about to rupture. She had initially thought that if she put her words like that, no matter how discontented Zhao Youlin had been with her, Zhao Youlin would be more or less be more polite to her and forgot about the incident, but what the heck was all this?!

However, Sun Fengzi had underestimated Zhao Youlin. Zhao Youlin had never even a moment of thought to spare Zhao Yifei.

Zhao Youlin saw Sun Fengzi’s angry appearance. The corners of her lips curled upward in glee.

After all, Sun Fengiz was the one who personally offered to send his son to apologize to Zhao Youlin. Zhao Youlin merely followed up. If Zhao Yifei did not come to her by that time, it was all because of her mother’s poor discipline. Since a certain one had dug a huge pit hole for Sun Fengzi to jump into it, how could Zhao Youlin not do him a favor by pushing Sun Fengzi from her back?

Mu Tingfeng indulged Zhao Youlin to flaunt her power using his. After Zhao Youlin angered Sun Fengzi, he added, “A joke? If so, Yifei should stop cracking such jokes in the future, at least not with Youlin. I really hate when someone, especially a guy, makes such jokes with Youlin.”

Mu Tingfeng spoke dominantly and frivolously. If anyone were to say the same as him, others would think that the person was just being ostentatious. But, if Mu Tingfeng was the one speaking like this, no one would take his words for granted.

Sun Fengzi and Zhao Shunchang’s expressions changed slightly. They temporarily forwent the infighting with Zhao Youlin and assured Mu Tingfeng repeatedly that Zhao Yifei would never crack such excessive jokes with Zhao Youlin in the future.

Mu Tingfeng fell silent for some time after he heard their words. After that, he spoke as if he was showing his mercy, “So, it’s all a misunderstanding, after all. Now, the misunderstanding is cleared up. You two should go back now. Youlin has just suffered a shock and so, she needs to take a good rest now. She doesn’t want to be disturbed.”

Did he just ask them to leave?!

Sun Fengzi and Zhao Shunchang’s expressions stiffened. They looked up at the spirited Zhao Youlin standing next to Mu Tingfeng and thought to themselves, ‘The lass doesn’t look a bit like she’s frightened and needs a rest now!’

Although Sun Fengzi and Zhao Shunchang were unhappy that Mu Tingfeng spoke to them in such a tone when he was a younger generation than theirs, Zhao Shunchang knew that this was not the time to be calculative over all this.

Zhao Shunchang quietly reached out to wipe away the cold sweat on his forehead. In fact, he had wished to leave earlier. However, Mu Tingfeng and Zhao Youlin’s aggressiveness stopped him from doing so. Now, Mu Tingfeng had asked them to leave. So, he could just leave as he had been told. He did not want to be calculative over the issue of courtesy. He reached out and pulled Sun Fengzi’s hand so that she could leave with him hurriedly.

Sun Fengzi drew in a deep breath. She looked up at Zhao Youlin and said reluctantly, “Since Youlin has just got a shock, you should take a good rest, then. Yifei is in the hospital and no one is looking after him. So, I also can’t stay here for long. I’ll have to go back first.”

Zhao Youlin smiled and before Sun Fengzi departed, Zhao Youlin did not forget to twist the knife in her wound by saying, “If so, I won’t stop you from leaving, Aunt. I’m a little busy these few days, so I can’t go and visit my younger cousin. Please convey my regards to him. I wish him a speedy recovery.” ‘And apologize to me soon.’

Zhao Youlin did not say the final words. But, how could Sun Fengzi not figure it out from her words? Her face immediately turned dark.

A revenge-seeking farce ended up being treated as a misunderstanding and was forced to put a stop after being half-threatened by Zhao Youlin and Mu Tingfeng. Sun Fengzi had to hold back her anger and might even have a hard time sleeping well.

Zhao Shunrong and his wife thoughtfully sent the two downstairs and out of the company in order to prevent them from venting out their anger to other staff inside the company.

Originally, Duan Yarong was worried about letting Zhao Youlin and Mu Tingfeng spend time together alone. No one knew what Zhao Shunrong had said to her. In the end, Duan Yarong gave in and went out with Zhao Shunrong.

Zhao Youlin was in a good mood when she saw the silhouette of the couple departing reluctantly. Unfortunately, her good mood did not last long and was soon destroyed by a certain one.

“When are we going to remarry?!”

Zhao Youlin’s entire body stiffened. She abruptly turned her head and was greeted by the sight of Mu Tingfeng’s serious but handsome-looking face, as well as a hint of extreme seriousness in his eyes.

Zhao Youlin’s right eyelid twitched, she asked as if she was not clear about his question, “What?”

Mu Tingfeng immediately looked dissatisfied, yet, he patiently repeated himself, “I said, when are we going to remarry?”

‘Darn it! So, I’m not hearing things, after all!’ The words “what the fudge” decided to blare in her head with the intensity of twenty-five loudspeakers, along with thirty megaphones. She wondered if she had a delirium after the accident in the elevator or because of the man before him.

She sucked in several deep breaths and calmed herself. Then, she replied to Mu Tingfeng calmly, “President Mu, are you kidding me? This is not funny at all.”

Mu Tingfeng was displeased with Zhao Youlin’s answer. He frowned and said in a low voice, “I’m serious.”

“Serious?” Zhao Youlin looked as if she heard some biggest joke on earth and said coldly, “President Mu, do you think it’s funny to prank someone like this? Have you forgotten that we’d divorced just a few months ago? Moreover, you’re the one who proposed to file for a divorce, President Mu!

“In other words, you’re the one who wanted a divorce in the beginning. Now, you’re the one who wants to remarry. Have you lost your mind?! Can you stop pranking people like this?!”

Zhao Youlin barked at Mu Tingfeng, and he froze. After a brief moment, he blurted out as if what he said was right, “You said we did that just to spice up our relationship.”

Zhao Youlin nearly burst out into laughter. She thought this man really had the potential to cause someone to bang their heads against the wall, if only that someone was not herself.

“That was just an excuse. Can’t you identify that it was an excuse? Moreover, we divorced not because we wanted to spice up our relationship. Others might not know about it, but how can you not be aware of it as well?”

Mu Tingfeng knew that what Zhao Youlin had done just now was all but an act. She did not have any resolved feelings for him.

Zhao Youlin looked impatient and was about to break her hand free from his grip, turn around and leave. Mu Tingfeng instinctively tightened his grip and said seriously, “I want to remarry you.”

Zhao Youlin was angry. She looked away and enunciated each word clearly, “But, I don’t want to remarry with you at all!”
