Chapter 1312 - Might As Well Bring Hachi Chan

Lu Li had met with Marshal Maxwell before, albeit briefly.
This was why he had brought Hachi Chan along, as she had high Charm stats. Even the enemy camps’ Tauren NPCs took a liking to her.
The higher the Charm stats, the easier it would be to initiate and find quests. Furthermore, with high Charm stats, NPCs would be more likely to distribute easier and more convenient quests, such as delivering armor or medicine. There was also the possibility of the NPC personally attending to the errand as well. However, with low Charm stats, the likelihood of being able to receive quests from NPCs was extremely low. Furthermore, if you were extremely fortunately and managed to receive a quest, the difficulty would be absurdly high.
There was a beggar in Silvermoon who was starving to death, but he still rejected a player’s offer of bread to him. This meant that the player’s Charm stats were simply too low.
The beggar was willing to die than to give the quest to the player!
Marshal Maxwell was located in the northern part of Burning Steppes. He was near the Horde’s flight points, which meant that this was both a safe and dangerous place to be. Had Marshal Maxwell picked this place because he was brave, or was he clueless about what was going on?
Lu Li transformed into a crow, while Hachi Chan turned into a butterfly, so that their travel would be easier.
“Who is it!” a voice cried out as two soldiers suddenly emerged from the shadows. From their armor, they seemed like scouts. To be so brave as to set up camp in the Horde territory...this could only mean that these scouts were extremely powerful.
Even in Lu Li previous life, he hadn’t heard of any attempts to destroy this camp.
“We are adventurers from the Alliance,” Hachi Chan introduced as she transformed back into her normal form. Lu Li followed suit. He was speechless upon seeing the two powerful and fierce-looking soldiers suddenly relax and put down their weapons. Had it been just him, they probably would have charged straight at him and talked with their swords.
“This place is not for strangers. State your reasons for coming here,” the guard said sternly, but gently towards Hachi Chan.
“We are here for Marshal Maxwell,” Hachi Chan quickly responded.

The two guards shared a look, seemingly becoming more nervous about the fact that these two standing in front of them knew of Marshal Maxwell.
“We have information regarding the Blackrock Spires. I wish to talk to the Marshal about this. On an unrelated note, I saved Marshal Windsor from the Blackrock Depths. However, I couldn’t protect him completely, so he died under the claws of the Black Dragon,” Lu Li suddenly chimed in.
“Windsor...” a voice suddenly sighed. Then, a human clad in heavy armor appeared.
The two scouts bowed towards warrior, then disappeared back into the shadows.
“Greetings, Marshal Maxwell,” Lu Li and Hachi Chan said.
The warrior didn’t deny his identity. First, he smiled and greeted Lu Li and Hachi Chan, then he began talking to Lu Li.
“I remember you. You are a courageous adventurer.”
“It’s regrettable that I could not save Marshal Windsor. Courageous, but weak,” Lu Li modestly replied. His words were not only to leave a good impression, but he also truly felt regret about what happened.
Lu Li treated Marshal Windsor as a friend of his own. He met Marshal Windsor while grieving the death of Anduin Lothar. Together, they exposed and defeated Major Samuelson, who was hiding his true identity as a Faceless One in Stormwind. Lu Li then rescued him from the jail in the Blackrock Depths. Together, they faced the Black Dragon Princess, Onyxia, but in the end, he died under the Dragon’s claws, just like he foresaw.
Lu Li witnessed his death, yet he was powerless to do anything. There was a period of time where he regretted releasing Marshal Windsor from jail.
“Don’t blame yourself. He was an admirable warrior. He strived forwards, always abiding with his principles,” Marshal Maxwell praised his fellow Marshal.
“I will definitely kill Onyxia. A warrior’s blood must not bleed in vain,” Lu Li said with fierce resolution.
Marshal Maxwell slapped Lu Li’s shoulders softly.
“Friend, I believe you, but you must become stronger. Only tragedies await you if you are not strong enough. Onyxia will pay. The days where these dragons can run rampant are coming to an end,” he said.
What Marshal Maxwell really meant by saying this was that Lu Li was too weak. If he dared to tackle Onyxia now, he would definitely die.
“Yes, I will get stronger.”
After having this conversation with Maxwell, Lu Li signalled Hachi Chan to say something.
“Uncle Marshal, we have a problem. In the Blackrock Spires, the one that Onyxia’s brother is controlling, we saw powerful Draconians. These were fierce and unwilling to listen. There were six of them...” Hachi Chan whine in a sad tone.
Had it been Lu Li who said this, Marshal Maxwell would have most likely responded with another slap on the shoulders and told him to get stronger before fighting again.
Instead, Marshal Maxwell had Hachi Chan list out the special characteristics of the Draconians. Then, he said, “From your information, it seems like these Draconians are from Drakkisath. It was Drakkisath that led Nefarian’s army and invaded our territory, massacring our people. Yes, we must let him pay for the blood of our people.
“We must kill him,” Hachi Chan said in a confident tone.
“If you guys can kill him, I will reward you abundantly,” Marshal Maxwell continued.
Then, the System notified Lu Li and Hachi Chan of their quest to kill General Drakkisath. After this, they would have to bring a belonging of Drakkisath’s to Marshal Maxwell.
“We can’t fight him. He uses Ignite, which causes us to lose all our Armor. Even the small monsters can kill us,” Hachi Chan exaggerated. The truth was, Drakkisath’s Ignite only decreased a part of the Armor – it did not completely erase it.
“I have a few elixirs here. Perhaps these can help.”
Although Lu Li knew that bringing Hachi Chan would have its benefits, he didn’t know that they would just receive Marshal Maxwell’s elixirs that easily. If Lu Li recalled correctly, these elixirs gave them increased Armor or increased fire-resistance. All in all, these were valuable items.
“Thanks Uncle Marshall! We’ll definitely kill General Drakkisath, then his master Nefarian, then Nefarian’s sister Onyxia, then Nefarian’s dad...What was his name again?”
“Neltharion.”
Lu Li wanted to cover his face in embarrassment. Even if Hachi Chan was quite young, was it appropriate to act like this?
“General Drakkisath is a difficult opponent. How about this?” Marshal Maxwell asked, then continued to explain, “In General Drakkisath’s hall, there is an orb there. That is the Telemancy Orb. If you manage to engrave this brand on it, we can teleport to that place from here. Although I am not able to battle with you, I can send two warriors to help.”
Lu Li was completely speechless and was unable to do anything but nod his head in gratitude.
