Chapter 1209 - Gathering of the Level 5s
Chapter 1209: Gathering of the Level 5s
“Hoho. Speak of the devil and he shall appear. Senior Xiahou Shangyuan, I was just about to send your weapon to you,” Jiang Fei greeted.
“I have already gone over the line by asking Master Zhuge Shanzhen for a weapon. How could I ever trouble you further to deliver the weapon?” Xiahou Shangyuan bowed ever so slightly before cracking a large smile. The desire to own a weaponized Godblade could not be hidden from his face now that it was ready.
“Hah! Poppycock! I know the truth. You are only here because you heard that the weapon is ready! Spit the truth!” Bai Shien teased Xiahou Shangyuan, poking his sides. It was an expression of true friendship, not knowing when to stop teasing one another.
“So... Ehm... Wel...” Xiahou Shangyuan stammered. He was ignoring Bai Shien for teasing him as he was dying to know where the weapon was. Still, ashamed of his demeanor, Xiahou Shangyuan did not know how to ask Jiang Fei for the sword.
“Senior, please wait for a moment,” said Jiang Fei before turning to Ariel. “Could you please be a dear and fetch the sword for me?”
“Sure thing,” Ariel replied before she removed herself from the room to retrieve the sword.
“Haha! You, tree pole you! Look how you are behaving!” Bai Shien laughed. The man already got his weapon. It was only natural for him to gloat and tease Xiahou Shangyuan, who was still expecting his.
In no time at all, Ariel returned with a long, rectangular box wrapped in red silk. The box carrying the Godblade was far longer than Bai Shien’s. To be fair, the Water Splitting Er Mei Needle was only a foot long while Xiahou Shangyuan’s requested longsword was at least three foot long.
“Senior, please hold it in your hand. Test if its built is suited to your liking,” Jiang Fei said as Ariel handed the box over to Xiahou Shangyuan. Xiahou Shangyuan was still being reserved around Ariel as she was also another Level 5 Metahuman.
“Thank you for this. I will not hold back now,” said Xiahou Shangyuan when he opened the box.
“Please,” Jiang Fei replied and took a step back.
Xiahou Shangyuan took the sword out from the box and held it in his hands. He concentrated for a moment and in a split second, the sword had unsheathed, releasing a powerful wave of sword qi.
“This is a good sword!” Xiahou Shangyuan exclaimed. Be it the design of the blade, the built of the hilt, the sharpness, the weight balance, everything was exactly the same as his own sword. Using it was as natural as using a sword that he had been using for years. There was no need for him to get used to it as he was already familiar with it. If it wasn’t for the presence of Godblade that the sword was giving off, Xiahou Shangyuan would have thought he was wielding his own sword!
“Seniors, are you satisfied with your respective weapons?” Jiang Fei asked humbly.
“Very much indeed! Master Zhuge Shanzhen is truly a man of wonders. Such craftsmanship could never be rivaled!” Xiahou Shangyuan did not hold back on his praises. He was truly admiring the man even though he had never seen Zhuge Shanzhen in person.
“Enough with that! We are indebted to the boy and we must repay the work of Zhuge Shanzhen!” said Bai Shien, laughing like Santa Claus.
“Hoho! You’re right, my little fat dwarf!” Xiahou Shangyuan bellowed.
“So, my friend, when do we depart?” Xiahou Shangyuan asked.
“Whenever you are ready, seniors,” said Jiang Fei.
“Alright then, I shall summon the rest of the old folks. However, I am compelled to remind you to prepare the dart tips!” said Bai Shien. He had only come over earlier to collect the Water Splitting Er Mei Needle. If the other Level 5 grand masters were present during the collection, they might be tempted to request Jiang Fei to reforge their Godblades as well.
If so, Jiang Fei would only be in great trouble. Not only that but the great Zhuge Shanzhen might be offended. Hence, Bai Shien and Xiahou Shangyuan had thought that it would be wise to separate collecting their weapons and summoning the other grand masters to save Jiang Fei from future trouble.
However, the two grand masters had thought too much about the matter. Even if they were to hide their weapons away from being discovered by the other grand masters, Jiang Fei would figure out a way to bait them. It was all according to plan. If no one were to request Jiang Fei to reforge their Godblades, where on Earth would he be collecting Valium from?
Right now, Jiang Fei had forged a Zhanlu Sword for his own use while the other girls were not armed. Jiang Fei would do whatever he could to arm the girls with weapons the same grade as the Zhanlu Sword!
“Thank you Senior Bai!” said Jiang Fei before bowing respectfully.
“Alright, let’s go outside,” Bai Shien barked before exiting the house and moving to the courtyard. There, Bai Shien crouched on the ground, gathering power to his legs and suddenly, he shot into the sky, like a rocket!
“Hoooooo AHHHHHHHHHHH!” Bai Shien bellowed. His voice was muffled by the surrounding clouds but even so, with powerful qi, the man’s voice traveled far and wide. Perhaps even Level 4 masters could hear his voice at several hundred kilometers away.
“Ariel, quickly disable the spatial disruptor,” said Jiang Fei. If the spatial disruptor was still active, the other grand masters could only teleport outside Jiang Fei’s base. Even though they were more than capable of running at breakneck speed, having guests enter from that distance would be disrespectful.

Once the disruptor was deactivated, silhouettes started appearing in the courtyard. All of them were of Chinese descent. There were men and women, both young and old. Even so, Jiang Fei knew that their looks had nothing to do with their age, for surely all of them were older than his own grandfather.
These old folks were having the time of their lives in their respective sects. It was Jiang Fei’s bait, the little dart tips that had lured them out into the open. Like Bai Shien, these folks were greatly intrigued by the notion of a weaponized form of Godblade.
“Come! Come! My friend, let me introduce you to these folks,” cried Bai Shien as he appeared.
“This old Taoist is Zhuge Qinlong of the Qincheng Mountains. He might be from the same family as your own master!” said Bai Shien as he pointed to an old Taoist of pale face. The man was very much like how Zhuge Shanzhen was designed; eloquent and dignified. Even though the man was now old and wrinkled, Jiang Fei could still see the distinct look of when he was in his youth.
“Greetings, Taoist Master Zhuge!” Jiang Fei bowed.
“No need to stand on ceremony,” Zhuge Qinlong replied courteously. Everyone was giving face to Jiang Fei as they were all courted there by the dart tips.
“This tall freak is called Zhang Shan and the tiny goblin there is Lee Shi. Those two may not be from any sect but their strength is true,” said Bai Shien as he turned to a pair of Level 5 grand masters. The unaffiliated ones had nothing to turn to during their distress but, they were able to achieve Level 5 power levels without anyone’s help, earning themselves respect.
“I’d say, Bai. You dare claim that I’m short? Who’s to say that you’re tall in the first place?”
The tall one, Zhang Shan, appeared to be quiet and composed but not the shorter one, Lee Shi. The man was so short that he was shorter than Bai Shien. Lee Shi was fat and round, very much like the Laughing Buddha. Perhaps Lee Shi was even shorter, standing about two and a half feet tall.
