Chapter 144 Her Selling Point
Old Lady Fang: "Wenwen, I have seen that you will never have the time to date women, so I will help you out on this, and you don't have any choice, as everyone has decided on this. I will send you the address of your date on Sunday evening by 6. I will ask your personal assistant to add the date to your schedule."
"Grandmother, are you really forcing me to go on blindates? I am not a child." Mr. Fang said while moving his fingers about on his desk as he tried to reason with the old lady.
Old lady Fang was not moved, and immediately got back at him with words. "It's simply because you are not a child that I am anxious. Wenwen, it's time for you to settle down and start your own family."
Then without waiting for any response from him, the old lady ended the call, leaving him to be restless.
Mr. Fang exhaled deeply and put his phone down on his desk. If he had smoke in his body, he would have been puffing it out by now.
"Mr. Fang, are you going on a blindate?" Zhang Liling asked with a tinge of annoyance in her tone.
She had just calmed down her palpitating heartbeats only for it to start messing up again just before she could finish rejoicing.
Mr. Fang was startled by that voice, and when he raised his head to glance at her, he was even more surprised by her presence.
"What are you still doing here?" He asked with furrowed brows.
Zhang Liling ignored his question and came to stand in front of his desk. First, she put down the bottle of water before saying to him.
"Mr. Fang, is your family forcing you to go on a blindate?"
"How does this in anyway concern you, Zhang Liling?!"
Zhang Liling helped herself to one of the seats in front of him as his eyes watched her actions in surprise.
'Just who asked her to sit?'
"Of course this concerns me Mr. Fang! I am finally a graduate, and right when I have a chance, you are already going on a blindate with another woman."
'Huh?'
Mr. Fang had a confused gaze on his face. "What nonsense are you talking about? What chance do you have?"
The man didn't understand her, and just wanted her to go straight to the point instead of beating around the bush and annoying him any further.
'Is he playing ignorant now?' Zhang Liling thought while staring right into his eyes to observe if there were any changes, but discovered that he was utterly confused.
'I will just have to explain things to him.' She concluded.
"Mr. Fang, remember when I confessed my feelings to you..."
Instinctively, black lines appeared on his forehead as he relaxed his back on his executive black leather seat.
"...you said you don't date your students. Now, I have graduated, so at least I should have the chance to date you."
What surprised Mr. Fang, was her bold stance. I mean, what gave her this impression and courage that she could speak to him about that kind of matter?
The worst of it all, was that she wasn't even flinching a bit. She just goes ahead to say whatever that was in her mind while staring directly at him, as if he promised to be in a relationship with her.
"Has anyone ever told you that it is unappealing to chase after a man, or have you never thought about it?" He asked.
He just wanted to know what was going through that little head of hers.
Zhang Liling adjusted her sitting position and put her arms on his desk. "Mr. Fang, I don't care what anyone says or what is right. If I like someone, I like to show them, and even go on to tell them about it. It's just like when I like a bag, I would want to purchase it to make it belong to me."
Zhang Liling just said what was in her heart, and the way she does things.
If she likes someone's personality, even if the person is a stranger, she wouldn't mind complimenting them and starting up a conversation with them.
This was how she made friends as well.
Mr. Fang just realized how relentless she was. She doesn't care about rules or customs when it came to what she wanted.
"Miss Zhang?" He called out in a layback tone, and she blinked her eyes in response.
Tapping his fingers on his desk, his lips parted and closed twice, before words began to spew out.historical
"How old are you, and do you know how old I am?" He asked.
"I am 22 years old. I know you are above 30, but I don't care. I like older men!" Zhang Liling replied with a smile at last.
She was happy to be having this kind of conversation with him.
Mr. Fang's face turned dark. 'Did she just refer to me as an old man?'
He mentioned their ages because he wanted her to think and see the impossibility of them getting together with that kind of age gap between them, but she thought otherwise?
Mr. Fang was a bit annoyed and forgot that he shouldn't be having this kind of conversation with her, and went on to taunt her.
"Miss Zhang, you just called me an old man, have you seen that you are a small girl? I can't date a girl of your age, you don't know anything!" He said and shook his head in disappointment.
Zhang Liling flared up immediately. "Mr. Fang, how am I a small girl? Look at me properly, what part of me looks immature to you?"
As the second half of her statement left her lips, she stood up and twirled for him, before going to list her good virtues.
"I know that I can be a handful at times, but that's what makes me fun to be with. I am intelligent, I am beautiful, and when I love someone, I can go to any lengths for that person. My family background is a bit messy, but it shouldn't matter since I am not corrupted by them. My age shouldn't be a problem to you either, it's good to marry a youthful woman who respects and cares for you."
