Chapter 162 Dreams Of Marriage
Zhang Liling nodded, still with a pout.
She really looked like a stubborn little cat to Mr. Fang, but he refused to condone her childish act.
He leaned away from his seat and said word for word as he fixed a serious gaze on her, "Zhang Liling, you have only one option here. If you so badly want to live under my roof, then you can only remain as my housekeeper."
"Mr. Fang!" Zhang Liling almost cried out while calling out to him, but he was not moved.
"I think I'm done speaking to you, go and get me a bottle of water to soothe my dry throat." He instructed and turned his gaze away from her.
He was acting like talking to her caused his throat to become patched.
With a heavy heart, Zhang Liling stood up while staring at him. Her gaze rested on him for only 5 seconds, because when he lifted his gaze to stare at her, she quickly turned away and walked towards the door in quick steps.
As much as she didn't want to live apart from him when they would start dating, she just knew there was no better option than that.
Was she crazy to pick living in his house as his housekeeper while she could date him while living outside, and move back in when she gets married to him? No, she wasn't.

Zhang Liling spoke with her mother and Tungmei about her grades.
Tungmei made an upper second class Honours, and they both chatted about how Zhang Mingyu made the same grade.
"...this is not an insult to him, but I believe that he can never make that grade because he never put quality time in his studies."
"Your stepmother must have done something!" Tungmei said with a low chuckle.
Zhang Liling sighed and changed the topic, "Is your family coming for the graduation ceremony?"
"I'm not sure my father has that money to bring my mother and brother over, but he will surely not miss it, because he can't wait to brag about my being a graduate to his friends."
Tungmei could already picture her father's proud smile while bragging to his friends with her graduation picture in his hands.
Zhang Liling chuckled softly. "I can relate to this because my father is possibly still bragging about my results to his friends. And I'm sure the reason no media had caught a wave of it, is probably because he is waiting for my graduation ceremony."
"Why do I feel like he is waiting till that day to confirm that you actually made a first-class Honours?" Tungmei said with a loud chuckle.
Having a basic knowledge of Zhang Renshu's kind of personality, she wouldn't be surprised if he actually thought that way, and Zhang Liling couldn't have agreed more to this.
"You are right, how could I have missed this?"
After laughing for a bit, Tungmei stirred the conversation to a different path.
"I'm sure you already have a position secured at the Zhang Group, you don't need to fight for a place to intern like most of us."
Zhang Liling was quiet for a few seconds before deciding to speak to her about it. She has been avoiding the topic and now was the right moment to finally talk about it.
"My dad said Mingyu and I are to intern in any department of our choice in his company, but I have other plans for myself. I'm going to apply to work at the Fang Group."
Tungmei was not surprised when she heard about her place of choice. The only thing that made her surprised, was the fact that her father asked her to intern for half a year.
"Your dad is really particular when it comes to business. I thought he would have directly given you two a good position in his company."
"My dad doesn't joke with his company. He would make sure you are a bit capable before he gives you something. But if you are his only option, he would groom you to become capable."
Zhang Liling and Tungmei chatted for a bit more before ending their conversation.
Tungmei had already settled on going to send in her details to several companies including Zhang Group, but she omitted Fang group because she felt that place wasn't for her.

When Song Jujing heard the Honours her daughter made, she was all smiles and sang praises.
Zhang Renshu was the one that informed her about it and immediately she heard the news, she ended the conversation and called Zhang Liling immediately.
"You silly girl! How could you forget to tell your mother this kind of news!" She chided her immediately.
Zhang Liling could only smile and apologize.
"You better not make that kind of mistake again. I should be the first person to know things about you." Song Jujing said, but her daughter thought otherwise.historical
'If I didn't check my result in front of my father and half-brother, Mr. Fang would have been the first to learn of the news.'
In essence, Zhang Liling had already planned to first tell Mr. Fang everything that concerned her from now onwards.
They would soon officially start to date, so it was only right to share first-hand information with him first before notifying any other person. At least, her mother would come second.
Zhang Liling made a request for a car for making the first-class grade.
"Why are you asking me for a car when your father is there to give you one for making him this proud?" Song Jujing asked.
A naughty smile crept up Zhang Liling's face as she answered, "That's because I am about to break his heart, so I don't want to accept any heavy gift from him."
You are about to break his heart? How?" Song Jujing asked with a little confusion.
She couldn't guess what she was planning, and wanted to know immediately.
Smiling to herself, Zhang replied, "He has already made arrangements for me to work in his company, and all that is left is for me to choose any department of my choice, but I don't have any plans of working in the Zhang Group because I am going to the Fang Group."
There was a brief silence from Song Jujing's side before she replied, "You can do what you want, but I am not getting you a car yet."
She has heard this before, so she was not surprised.
Zhang Liling was calm as she asked when she could have the car.
"Maybe in about 2 years?" Song Jujing replied.
"Forget it." 'Won't I be married to Mr. Fang by then? There would not be any need for that again...',
If her mother was going to get her a car in 2 years, then she didn't want it anymore.
