Chapter 171
171 Jaws of death
“What?... what’s wrong?” asked Lin Ruoxi noticing her son was wiping his hands with a wet wipe like he was leaving.
Yi Chen ignored Ming Ming’s pitiful doe eyes staring at him aggrievedly as he replied, “I need to do something. It’s very important.”
Marshal Yi who rarely spent time with his family these days reached for some shrimp and peeled it for Ming Ming to appease her. “What could be more important than a family dinner?.... Can’t it wait until we are done eating?” he said wondering when Yi Chen had become so impulsive.
Unless if it was an emergency he wouldn’t be easily rattled and drop everything without a second thought. Yi Chen’s movements paused seeming reluctant.
He didn’t want to tell the truth and if he did his father would definitely not let him go. His beloved was at a party with alcohol and various other temptations so how could he not accompany him? It turns out his decision to go was the best decision in his entire life.
“Eat first then you can go. No other emergency apart from the sky falling is worth you leaving in the middle of dinner..... Ow! Ming Ming!” yelled the Marshal as everyone stared in his direction.
While her father was speaking to Yi Chen his hand that had the peeled shrimp kept moving around and the hungry Ming Ming kept following it with her eyes. Each time she reached for it her father’s hand would move hence she lost her patience.
Instead of taking the peeled shrimp from her father’s hand she directly ate it biting his finger in the process and she was still biting.
“Ming Ming let go,” said Lin Ruoxi while signaling Yi Chen to leave with her eyes.
.....
Yi Chen’s brow twitched probably thinking he had misunderstood her. Lin Ruoxi gestured for him to leave again while trying to coax Ming Ming to let go.
“What are her jaws made off? They are like the jaws of death.... Ming Ming, let go otherwise dad will get angry,” said Marshal Yi trying to pull his finger back without hurting her.
Yi Youxi burst out in laughter while Lin Ruoxi patted her cheek asking her to let go. As for the culprit she was giggling like she found this funny. She rarely got to mess with her father so yep.... she bit him like a little lizard.

While the two parents were coaxing their last born the eldest slipped out of the private room and went to find his little disciple who was drinking like a fish at this party.
When he arrived there the place was as noisy as it can get with loud music and everybody going wild like it was the end of the world. Well, once they officially enlist this would be the last big party they would have with their schoolmates hence they took advantage of it.
When he entered the house he stumbled upon the most shocking scene of his entire life. His friend who declared he was going to kiss Hela tonight was being pressed on the kitchen counter getting kissed by her.
It was an awkward light kiss but it very much counted. Yi Chen didn’t want to interrupt them so he scanned the room for Zi Han. The young man was sitting with a group of people, most of which he could recognize. Like the rest, he was watching Hela smooching Li Ran’s face. It seemed they were playing some sort of weird game with Hela being a part of it.
Yi Chen took a step forward intending to stop Zi Han from playing such a horrible game when Yi Feng patted his shoulder while calling his name.
Yi Chen’s brows creased as he questioned him, “Why are you here?”
Yi Feng who had come here to run away from Leila licked his lips, his eyes bleary before saying, “You haven’t been picking up my calls. I want to talk to you about something.”
Yi Chen glanced over in Zi Han’s direction a little reluctant but Yi Feng’s expression didn’t look good so he could only follow his cousin.
The two of them stood in the kitchen and Yi Feng opened up a bottle of beer for him. Two sips in and Yi Feng began to talk.
“I fucked up,” he said seeming a little distraught.
Yi Chen’s initial thought was that his cousin had relapsed and started taking drugs again but the monitoring system on his body didn’t go off.
“What did you do?” he asked his expression serious like he was the oldest one between them.
“I... haaa..... my mum is going to fuckin kill me,” he said while rubbing his temples with his hand.
Yi Chen who was slowly losing his patience said, “Speak,” his tone laced with slight annoyance. The last time Yi Feng got himself in trouble he was also punished. They were like that pair of cousins who are always together when something bad happens. Despite only one of them being the culprit they both get punished.
“Okay, okay... I will tell you,” he said and pulled up his sleeve revealing his bisque-toned arm with obvious purple bruises. But that wasn’t the highlight.
The main issue was that the armband striped tattoo on his body was now missing one. It was obvious what had happened but who in the world did he give it to?
“It, it was an accident,” said Yi Feng while pulling down his sleeve.
“There are no accidents with such things. That was no fuckin accident. It takes a whole lot of emotions for you to do that so it’s not an accident,” said Yi Chen and the two of them fell into silence each drinking like this issue would disappear if they do.
“She is going to kill me,” said Yi Feng almost pulling out his hair.
“Yah no kidding.... she might kill you and me both,” said Yi Chen but that’s when it hit him. Why would his aunt freak out? It’s not like he gave it to someone he doesn’t love. That’s not how it works thus he asked,
“Who? Who is it?”
Yi Feng, “QAQ”
That’s right. Who did Yi Feng swear his undying love to? Well, not verbally but.... physically of course.
Outside the villa, a luxurious white hovercar with blue lights on its outer edges all around the frame hastily drove in. The falcon-winged door opened and a pair of long legs emerged drawing the attention of the people standing outside.
“Who in the world...?” said one of the girls while taking a look.
The result was that her face flushed staring at this tall man with a majestic aura. He was dressed in semi-formal wear with a light blue shirt and white pants like he had come directly from the office.
