Chapter 341 - Breakthrough
Orca Academy, Capital.
A while ago...
The shockwaves had shook the Academy leading to chaos throughout the campus.
Cafeteria...
Mark had just left the place with Eren and Edward planning to observe the situation and help, if needed.
On the other hand, the students tried to help each other who seemed to be injured.
"Aria!" Janet's shriek immediately attracted everyone's attention.
Elly and Lisa turned their heads to see Aria on the floor panting with her dress drenched with blood.
historical
She wasn't prepared for it and with her injuries, she couldn't even react in time when the shockwaves hit. She seemed to have collided into something or someone which led to her wound opening again.
Lisa looked at the scene as she shook her head. Something seemed to be flashing in front of her eyes, the blood seemed to be reminding her of something.
But she buried that sad feeling in her heart and shook the water which had begun to gather in her eyes as she moved to help Aria.
Headmaster's Cabin..
The old man stood calmly as he looked at the scene outside.
"What are you looking at kid?" A voice sounded beside the Headmaster of Orca and he looked at the person beside him.
Even though he looked like a young boy, the old man knew he wasn't one...
"What is the Steward of Lord Zatch here for?" The old man asked.
"Well, I have brought my Lord's message..."
"What is it?" The old man asked with a calm look.
"I won't interfere...but I am watching. If you think you can get away with anything, you are in for trouble...If the kid dies...Kingsman will too..."
"Is he declaring war?" The old man asked with a smile even though he clearly understood what it meant.
But the boy didn't seem to pay any heed at all as he casually stood with his arms crossed, "Who knows?"
It was obvious that unlike the Storm Family, the Zatch Family didn't want to turn the situation volatile.
If even the Ancient Families began to go at each other's throat, they knew nothing could stop the disaster which was approaching them.
"Aren't you the one referred to as the Sage of family? Why not share some of your wisdom?" The old man clearly was engaging in a conversation because of sheer boredom.
"You kids really turned out to be the nastiest ones we have ever seen.....even though the previous ones did have their differences, they were united when it came to the prophecy....yet you people...."
"Let me warn you, the prophecy is not a joke....if anyone of the five wielders die....we will have to face the consequences..." The young boy said with a calm look.
"Isn't that the reason why everyone is working towards that..." The old man replied.
"Foolish...do you think those toys of yours can do anything? They might be able to wield the artifact but that is as far as it goes....it isn't as simple as that..."
"Then will you care to explain?"
"Will you believe it?"
Both of them knew...the current Ancient Families didn't have faith in each other. If you wanted to prove something, evidence was needed...
"Yes, I will believe as long as you can prove it..."
The boy shook his head as he looked at the headmaster, "If you really want to believe, why don't you take the chance and visit the Ancient cemetery at your place.....if you are lucky enough, you will survive like me and come to understand everything..plus there is also the title of the Sage.."
The old man didn't reply.
"You people...I wonder if it is just a coincidence that things got so bad between your generation...."
"I have my doubts regarding that as well..." The old man replied.
"Still, we have some hope in the next-generation...even though you people are so suspicious of each other, they aren't. It was a good thing that those old people crawled out of their graves to set things back onto the right path....and yet you guys are again here doing something like these...do you want to call them out yet again? Just let them be in peace, they are waiting for their final fight before they could peacefully leave..."
"Don't worry, I won't let him die...he is too important for several reasons...but that doesn't mean I won't let him struggle...I don't care what he goes through...I only want him alive.." That was the old man's reply.
Suddenly, a strange sizzled past them.
Both the old man and the young boy looked towards a certain direction. The place which was covered in smoke with nothing visible.
''What was that?" The old man frowned but the boy was way quicker than him and immediately broke through the window flying towards the source.
The old man shortly followed after noticing that something indeed was wrong here.
"I can't believe someone capable of breaking the dimensional law exists...this will greatly improve our chances for the upcoming battle...is it the kid? Or somebody else?" the boy mumbled with a smile on his face.
It didn't matter, he had to get that person on his side.
...
Recycling District, Capital..
Current time..
Wilson and Lear stood side by side against the Bayu who seemingly had lost his cool.
"Just to make sure, we are on the same page right? If yes, let's work together." Lear suggested.
Wilson glanced at him but didn't know if he could be trusted or not. He didn't feel good about him that was for sure.
"I see...in that case. I will leave him to you." Lear clearly saw the distrustful look on Wilson's face and thought it wouldn't be so bad if he just went on to look for Max leaving that guy to him.
Wilson's frown deepened as he saw Lear casually trying to leave, though he didn't plan to stop him, somebody else did.
"Dammit!"
Lear cursed as he jumped and made a roll around dodging the incoming black whips.
"I didn't give you the permission to leave..." Bayu spoke with a rage in his voice.
Lear looked at Wilson, if he didn't fight him it was obvious he would obstruct Lear.
"Fine, come on...I will beat the sh*t out of you.." Lear spoke with confidence. If it was a few minutes ago and he would have witnessed Bayu before getting burned, he wouldn't be saying those words. It was precisely because he was burned that Lear was acting this confident. After all, he couldn't recognise him as some monster figure from the younger generation.
Lear and Wilson were concentrating on Bayu when suddenly, a message popped up.
?Ruler's Blessing? has reached the next stage...additional features have been unlocked. A boost in the buff has been gained.?
With that, both Lear and Wilson felt the energy within their body increasing. Lear who had just broke through the Advance Tier recently soar past the early stage almost breakthrough the mid stage....but it seem that he fell a bit away.
On the other hand, Wilson who had just broken through, reached the Early stage of the Expert Tier after gaining another increase from Max.
But that wasn't the only thing, they now had a few additional abilities....
Lear could clearly locate another person similar to him and he was right beside him.
It was same for Wilson.....
Both of them turned their head and looked at each other....
