Chapter 375 - Declaration of War
"Bang!"
A figure flew like a bullet while crashing into several others and taking them down like a bowling ball.
"This will take a forever.." Max sighed as flames erupted from his body.
"AAAAHHHHH!!!!"
"AAAHHHHHH!!!!!!!"
The people who were near Max couldn't back out in time and were immediately engulfed in flames. Screams filled the place as people rolled down on the streets.
People who had water elements immediately came forwards to help while the unlucky ones had people kicking the sh*t out of them in hopes of putting the flame out.
Obviously, Max controlled his flames. A few of these people were just too weak and could have burned without even leaving ashes. Max had to take their strength in consideration.
Max looked at the crowd surrounding him. They were glaring at him but none dared to step forward and break through the flames.
Max understood that there must be a few smart people in them. These people have gathered them knowing that he wouldn't dare to kill them in front of the Seniors of the House.
So they had an advantage.
Still no one had expected this situation. The matter had already gone out of hand. No matter what was done, they would be mocked for letting a single person walked into their place and sh*t on their heads.
People were already mocking them after the fight between Max and Victor but now...
They just couldn't allow Max to leave like this. They had to make him pay otherwise they wouldn't have any face left to see the youths from other Houses.
Max calmly walked while setting the road ablaze. Some people could only grit their teeths and jump in the flames. They just couldn't endure as Max arrogantly walked around with a smirk on his face.
Max shook his head looking after the idiots jumping in the flames. Soon cries filled the streets but Max just ignored them and continued to walk ahead.
As Max reached the inner area, he met a few stronger ones who were able to break through his flames just because Max had deliberately lowered down the temperature of his flames.
But still, flames were just a trial...with Max in front how could these people even be called strong.
All the so called geniuses and the sons of heaven couldn't even endure a single strike from his fist and just fell around the street becoming a decoration for Max's path.
"Whoosh!"
Suddenly, a strong gust of wind blew and immediately extinguished all the flames.
Max frowned as he looked at the person. He wasn't young at all. He looked like a middle aged man.
"Senior!!"
A few people screamed as if they realised the man's identity. Even in a big family like this, it wasn't possible for people to recognize everyone. They usually carried a token to identify themselves.
"It seems I was mistaken for calling you dogs. Looking at your thick face..a pig would better suit you....." Max smiled meaningfully.
"Y-You!!"
"This b*stard..."
People immediately began to curse but Max turned blind eye to them as he looked at the man.
The man wasn't from the main family, as those bunch all seem to awaken light element and not to mention this guy was weak to be an elder in the main family.
"Don't misunderstand. I don't care about the matter between the young. But you can't destroy my family's property.." the man said with a stern gaze as he looked at Max. He was obviously talking about the flames which had spread and burned plants and benches nearby.
"This is a warning...I wo-"
"Cut the crap...you think people here are fools." Max said as he turned to look at them, "Well, maybe...but I am not.."
Everyone glared at him but Max remained nonchalant about it.
"If you want to fight...just say it. I will see if my blade is sharper or your skin is thicker..."
historical
Max said as his black dagger appeared in his hands. The man was obviously here to make things difficult for him. But, Max didn't think that anyone would do so...as it was basically lowering their reputation.
The old man obviously couldn't say that he wanted to fight. How could he have any face after challenging some from the younger generation? But he couldn't back down....he wasn't allowed to...
"Brat..didn't your mother teach you manners." the old man said as he looked at him.
Max looked at him as his eyes narrowed. He wasn't a fool to not realise that the guy was provoking him to make a move so that he would have a reason to strike back.
But...he targeted her mom...
Suddenly a smile appeared on Max's face as killing intent began to leak out of him. He swept his gaze, trying to find someone.
The people shivered feeling the gaze swept past them. They immediately felt as if a blade had just missed their neck by a centimeter. The crowd immediately broke out in cold sweat.
"He isn't here..." Max muttered as he looked at the guy, "I will make you the first message to him.." Max said as he took a step forward and flames erupted from his body, but this time he wasn't restraining them.
Luckily, people had already made a distance because of Max's flames earlier or they would have turn into ashes. But still cries rang out as people standing far away felt their skin burn while some people's clothes caught fire.
"Scree!!!" A cry rang as Phoenix flew towards the sky from the flames.
The man's face immediately drained as his gaze turned serious. He immediately turned his attention towards the flaming bird as he began to activate his true spell.
"Where are you looking at?" The man suddenly felt a chill but before he could do anything, Max's hand had caught his onto his face.
"Slam!"
The man didn't even have time to react before his body was mercilessly crushed into the pavement. His bones immediately cracked and blood flew out from his mouth and nose.
The man looked at Max as fearfully as he felt the killing intent leaking from Max.
"Tell him to wipe his neck clean...I will be coming..."
"Scree!!!!"
Another cry rang out as the man's eyes widened. In the depth of his pupil, a reflection of flames descending from the sky could be seen.
"Boom''
The Phoenix crashed on Max and the man he was holding down. Flames exploded as dying the sky red and sending people flying.
