Chapter 635 - The Strongest Lord

Chapter 635 - The Strongest Lord

A while ago...

"Where did she go?" Ander muttered with a heavy frown on his face as he looked around. His eyes were penetrating into the distance, but there was no sight of Lesia around. She seemed to have disappeared into thin air.

The ground around was littered with corpses. All these people had their faces covered. So, it was easy to guess that they were assassins sent after him.

"Whoosh!"

At this moment, an explosion occurred far in the distance. But, with Ander's senses he could easily observe it. And, his eyes turned grim when he sensed a trace of mana there. He didn't even waste a second, and immediately shot towards the place.

...

On the other side..

Roman was still busy fighting with Red eye, the Assassin from the Dark Society and the person who was most possibly leading the whole mission.

"Bang!"

The two clashed once again before finally separating.

"Is this all the Lord of a Noble House has to offer? I am certainly disappointed." The guy laughed as he mocked Roman.

The battle between them had gone on for a long time with no one gaining advantage on each other whatsoever. And, it didn't seem like there would be a concrete winner between them anytime soon. It was a good thing that they were fighting high above in the sky, if not for that they would have certainly destroyed the entire city.

"Nothing to say, my Lord?" The guy asked with a mocking smile. He seemed to be enjoying this.

But, Roman on the other end was completely calm. And, he didn't seem to be fazed by his words at all.

Suddenly, a smile leaked on his face as he looked at the guy, "I was just trying to see something, and I think I have seen enough."

He then proceeded to stretch his body a bit. He was just waiting for help to arrive. It wasn't because he needed it, it was just to see the truth. His father had long suspected that something was wrong with the current Union. Things seemed to have changed very much recently. And, he suspected something was going on.

Today, he was asked by his father to see if the Union would reach out to them in time for help.

And those people were surely late to the party..

Reinforcements from Roxley House would have arrived by now, if he had called for it. Maybe, even the reinforcements from the next city would have made their way here. But, for Union, they were surely taking their time.

Anyways, it wasn't like he needed any reinforcement to deal with this pest.

"Bang!"

Roman's aura suddenly surged and Red Eye's immediately widened in horror as it continued to rise until hitting the very peak of Grandmaster Tier. But, it wasn't the end, his aura erupted once again with a bang, breaking through Supreme Tier.

"I hope your disappointment is gone now," Roman muttered with a calm tone as his hair fluttered with lightning discharging all around from his body. He seemed to have become the God of Thunder.

Red Eye's face immediately turned pale. He realized that the data he had on Roman was wrong. According to the data, none of the current generation Lords had broken through the Supreme Tier. But, it seemed that the intel was outdated as Roman had become the first one.

"Don't look at me like that, you just need to find a good wife too," Roman said with a laugh. People were usually making fun of him for giving into his wife and letting her control the house. But, that was what gave Roman enough time to focus on his training and become stronger than anyone else.

In the end, strength was what mattered the most. If the news about his breakthrough was to actually spread, people definitely would have to shut their mouth. Hell, some of the Lord might even pass their responsibilities to the Lady of the House.

"I sure lost. But.." The guy looked at Roman and his lips curled up into a smile. It seemed that he still had a trump card up his sleeve. "I have your daughter in my possession."

"Hahahaha!!!" Roman immediately broke out in laughter. He had actually dropped Lora at the home with his own two hands after taking her over from Max. And this guy dared to play that trick in front of him.

A frown immediately appeared on Red Eye's face as he looked at Roman laughing like a crazy person.

Did he not care about his own daughter?

But, the intel said that he surely did.

"Do as you see fit with 'that' daughter of mine." Roman barely held his laughter while speaking those words.

'F*ck! Who in hell provided the intel this time! Nothing is right about it!' The guy immediately cursed the intel provider as he began to sweat. There was no way for him to escape from a Supreme Tier Mage. He would certainly be doomed if he didn't think of anything soon.

"Any last words, my friend?" Roman asked with a smile as Red Eye felt the hairs on his body rising up. There were dark clouds forming over his head, and they were beginning to get charged for a strike.

"I-"

"Crackle!"

Too bad for him.

There was no way that Roman was serious about allowing him some last words.

A blinding light came crashing down from the sky as the thunder roared throughout Trinity. And, it sure scared the heck out of people

The day would go down as a bizarre one for the people of the city. There were fires breaking out all around, and now there was a thunderclap with a clear sky. They just hoped that the world wasn't ending the next minute.

When the blinding light disappeared, only Roman was left there. They guy had been reduced to ashes with nothing left of him at all.

"Should I check on my 'daughter' now?" Roman laughed as he flew towards the place where Max had last sent his location.

Warehouse Yard, Trinity.

"How long are we going to stay like this?" Erin asked Axel with a frown.

"You wanna die out there? Even after I went through the trouble of saving you.." Axel stared at her.

"No, but this a bit.." Erina said with a weird look on her face. The two of them were actually hugging each other while Axel had his back sticking to a tree. They had been changing places with each opportunity they could find, and every time Axel would pull her closer and hug her tightly.

"Do you think I am enjoying this? The Cloak is not that big to give us enough space, so we need to stick together," Axel said to her with a helpless look on his face.
