The Tale Of Kitsuna

Chapter 55

Chapter 55: Kaydas’ magic method

In a small clearing in a dense forest, you could see 2 people leaning against each others’ back, taking deep breaths indicating that they just ran for quite some time.

“Huff, huff. I am so tired.” I said, leaning against Mom’s back on the floor in the forest.

“Huff, Yeah, you don’t say. These restrainers really are heavy.” Mom said, putting her head on my shoulder.

“Yeah, 3 hours of running around with those on. I could tell you were struggling,” I said with a laugh.

“Yeah. By the way, why do you have them.” Mom said, confused.

“I was planning to use them for training,” I said, confusing her even more.

“How would they help with that.”

“I am too lazy to explain. If you can check out your status.” I said.

.....

“Okay... What the fuck!?” She shouted.

Using all my leftover strength, I lifted my hand and hit her over the head.

“Can’t you learn not to shout in my ears?” I said, annoyed.

“Sorry, but look at this.” She said, giving me her scroll.

“Huh, the scrolls can check your status,” I said, a bit amazed.

“Yeah, I can show you later how to set it up if you want.” Mom said, standing up

“That’s fine,” I said, looking at the scroll. It’s wasn’t my first time seeing her status but what I saw made me also shout in shock. “What the fuck!?”

“My agility went up 50 from last I checked it.” Mom said.

“Wow, the restrainers even work better than I thought,” I said, stretching myself out.

“Hehe, I just got the best idea ever.” Mom said, laughing like a maniac.

“Hmm, why do I feel like everyone will start hating me for this?” I said, looking at Mom.

“Oh yeah, so how are you going to change Rachel into a full angel?” Mom asks, coming out of her evil thoughts.

“Last night, when I dissected a demi-human, I saw that their blood is way different from A humans’ blood. Like a curious person, I went, and I took a half breed and dissected him. The end result was that these two blood types don’t mix at all. They act like water and oil. The more I talk, the more I sound like my father.” I said, a bit annoyed.

“I don’t really understand what you are saying. Can you simplify it, please?” Mom said, confused.

“Ugh, fine. A Steel and Adimite sword is weak together, but if you take out the Steel. It makes it a full Adimite sword, right. The end result will make it stronger.” I explain using my hands.

“Your reverences are the worst, but I understand. How long will it take.” Mom said, walking in the direction of the mansion.

“A month for 100% success. And what do you mean my references are the worst! It’s not my fault you didn’t understand my detailed explanation!” I said, following behind her.

“No, it’s you! You are shit in explaining things!” Mom said, pointing at me.

“Like your any better. You always say one sentence, and I need to figure out the rest myself.” I said, annoyed.

“But you understand it, don’t you.” Mom said, grinning.

“Yes, but I need to overdrive my brain to understand you,” I said, more annoyed.

“Overdrive my ass. You are one of the smartest people I know if you actually use your brain properly. I bet you could make a book only using one word.”

“That’s not possible. Who will understand a book that only uses one word? It will only work in a show where you can make gestures.” I said, looking at her like she was dumb.

“You think.” Mom said, tilting her head.

“Yeah, like the word fuck. It has a lot of uses, but it depends on your gesture. Like this.” I said, walking to a tree. I stretched out my hands virtually next to the tree and said. “Fuck.”

“Giant tree, yes?” Mom said, nodding.

“Fuck.” I said, making a small ice pole at my position. Walking away from the tree, I cut it down, making it fall towards me. Dodging it by a centimeter, I pointed at the pole and said with anger. “Fuck!”

After that, it was an argument with me only saying fuck to the pole and swapping positions a couple of times. The more Mom watched me, the more she looked like someone stole her food.

“You actually made a story with only saying fuck. The worst part is that I kind of understood what was going on.” She said, facepalming, seeing that I finished.

“See, so if you want to make a story only saying one word, it must be a show,” I said smiling.

“Yeah, I can see that and thank you for proving my point that you are one of the smartest people I know. A crazy airhead one but smart,” She said, continuing her walk towards the mansion.

“What do you mean...” I said but stop myself looking in the direction of my tree with a frown.

“What’s wrong,” Mom asks, confused.

“Who the fuck is using ice in my own domain!?” I said, running towards my tree.

After running for a while, I came out at the back of the tree. Walking to the front, I saw Kayda and Amari standing next to a small ice pillar, talking to each other. Using the flash step, I appear next to the pillar.

“Don’t use this crappy ice magic neer me or my domain. It a disgrace.” I said before slapping the pillar, making it turn to dust.

“And there you go. See how weak it is.” Kayda said, ignoring me.

“Aah, I see. but it’s still amazing that you can create ice while being a fire-type mage.” Amari said with stars in her eyes.

“Yeah, but that’s the theory I told you about. My scorch magic is made of Fire and wind magic so in other words. If I could have proper control over my scorch magic, you can split it into two types of magic. Fire and wind. If it can go one way, it can also go the other way.” Kayda explains. Hearing her explanation, a lot of ideas started to pop into my head.

“But that’s not a theory, is it. I mean, you just created ice using your wind and water magic. Although fragile ice, it was still ice magic you just did.” I said, amazed.

“Yes, but to achieve this, your mana control must be like it was another limb you have complete control over.” She explained while making a few strings in mid-air made out of her mana.

“Wow, are those things solid?” I ask, looking at them.

“I can make them solid if I want to.” She said.

“Awesome, Thank you,” I said, smirking before walking away from them. While walking away, I add. “Oh, and can you guys not have your magic lessons close to my bed.”

“What does she mean by her bed?” Kayda asks, looking at Amari.

“You see Kitsuna sleeps outside under this tree,” Amari explains, pointing to the guru tree.

“And you are telling this now?” Kayda said, pushing Amari away with a small blush.

historical

“Haha, that is why I didn’t tell you,” Amari said, laughing at Kaydas reaction.

All this happened while I was busy thinking about what I could do with this information.

‘If I understand from her brief explanation. I can split up my ice into water and wind. That’s cool, but what about my super regen? Can I make myself a healing skill? Ooh, wait, what about my dimensional storage? Hehe, dimensional magic here I come.’ I thought while laughing.

Walking into the mansion, I asked one of the servants where Dean was.

“He should be in his office.” The maid said.

“I see, and where is that exactly?” I asked, tilting my head.

“Oh, it is...” Getting the directions from her, I followed them and found his office. Find myself in front of the door to his office, I knocked.

“Come in,” Dean said from inside.

When I opened the door, I saw mom sitting on one of the sofas and 3 people standing with their backs towards me. One of them, I was certain, was Apricot. Looking past the 3 people, I could see Dean sitting at a table with a frown on his face.

.....

“Sorry, mom, I forgot to give you these,” I said, taking out the keys for the restrainers from my storage.

“I am not going to take them off just yet,” She said, catching the keys.

“I can see that,” I said, walking towards Apricots back. Rapping my arms around her shoulders from behind. Looking at Dean over Apricot’s head, I said. “Is Dean giving you some trouble?”

“No, we are just about done with the final things,” Apricot said.

“Like hell, we are. Why do I have to change squads?” One of the other three said with anger.

“I guess your Brenda?” I said, walking in front of her.

She looked exactly the same as Sirone, just taller but was still 10 cm shorten than me. Black hair with black eyes. Both were humans. There weren’t really that noticeable things about them. They were, for once, average girls.

“Who are you?” She asks, looking up at me.

“Sis, calm down,” Sirone said, rubbing Brenda’s arm.

“Ooh, I guess you don’t know yet. My name is Kitsuna Draig, and I was the one to request your transfer.” I said, holding out my hand towards her.
