Chapter 49
49 Ch. 49 Can’t Wait (part 1)
Ling Meng was still waiting anxiously for Anxia’s answer. What if the girl refuses? She no longer knew what to do to persuade her friend not to abort the fetus.
“Okay, I’ll grant it.”
Ling Meng couldn’t hide her happy shriek and rushed to take out her laptop.
“What are you doing?”
“Creating new identities for us. We have to get out of here right away and erase our traces. If we want to avoid Master Yu’s tracking, how about we go to Russia? I have acquaintances there who can hide us until you give birth.”
Anxia shrugged nonchalantly. “As you wish.”
The next morning, Anxia and Ling Meng departed by plane to Russia.
Ling Meng’s acquaintances lent them a house on a hill with a beautiful environment so that Anxia could breathe fresh air every morning and walk around the house without fear of being caught on camera.
Compared to Anxia, who seemed so gloomy, Ling Meng paid much more attention to the nutritional balance of Anxia’s fetal growth.
.....
Ling Meng gave Anxia healthy food and mixed fruit and vegetable juice, while Anxia felt like throwing up drinking the juice.
Once when Ling Meng went to go shopping, Anxia took the chips from the snack cupboard and ate them all up. Before Ling Meng went home, Anxia cleaned up the chip crumbs and threw the can of chips into the front trash, which Ling Meng definitely wouldn’t check.
Anxia’s current behavior was the same as that of a child hiding behind her mother’s back.
When she reached the twelfth month of her pregnancy, Ling Meng advised her to listen to classical songs often.
Anxia complied, but it wasn’t a classic song she had heard, but a heavy metal type that made her nod, dancing to the beat. Her hands even moved as if she was a rocker guitarist eager to perform on stage.
Anxia didn’t care about the health of her growing fetus at all and acted like a wild girl whenever Ling Meng went grocery shopping. At first, Anxia was annoyed because Ling Meng called the obstetrician and took her fetal-boosting vitamins.
Even without fetal reinforcement, the fetus remains healthy even though she did extreme activities. It seemed that Anxia’s body and stamina were too good that the fetus wouldn’t fall easily even though she had jumped up and down to the extreme.
In the end, she gave up and accepted her fate of giving birth to a demon child from that bastard man.
Ling Meng bought many positive books for Anxia to read in her spare time. Her suddenly chatty friend told her to read the books aloud so the fetus could hear her voice.
Anxia rolled her eyes at the endless chatter from her friend. She couldn’t understand her way of thinking.
The baby-to-be was still in the form of a fetus. How is it possible for the fetus to hear her voice and listen to her reading these books?
After all, what kind of book had Ling Meng bought her? Everything is so boring!
Anxia preferred to read fashion magazines or the most trending gossip news.
But her eyes were more prying in reading news about murder, rape, or other criminal acts. She also took Ling Meng’s advice to read the text aloud. However, the reading she read was wildly different from what Ling Meng advised.
“The hottest news today. Filled with a grudge against the perpetrator of the rape, the two brothers work together to cut off the perpetrator’s genitals and bury the perpetrator alive. Tskckck... what an idiot. They would end up in prison and unable to protect their sister, isn’t that right, little devil?” Anxia stroked her stomach while glancing at her now rather a large belly.
Her caress suddenly stopped at the same time, her brow furrowed in displeasure. “Tsk! Why am I asking this fetus to talk? I must have gone mad.”
Anxia stopped stroking her stomach for a chips snack and stuffed it into her mouth while continuing to read.
“Bank XX, which is rumored to have the best security system in the world, was successfully burglarized by a group of professional robbers. Wow, who do you think is the leader of the robber team? I wanted to join them.” Anxia chuckled as she continued reading and snacking on unhealthy chips for her baby.
historical
Ling Meng seemed to raise a white flag because she often caught Anxia eating chips and playing heavy metal music loudly, not to mention what the girl read was extreme news that could make goosebumps.
As she had expected, Anxia wasn’t fit to be a good mother at all.
“Qiao Qiao, how about we hand over your baby to the orphanage? I don’t think we’ll be able to care for him if you act like this.”
“En. I totally agree.” came her answer without a second thought.
Ling Meng heaved her heaviest breath of the day and started to open the website of the best orphanage that could be a suitable environment for her friend’s baby.
At least the child would not have a more difficult life while living in the orphanage. Instead of having to live by running away and being exposed to the dangers that arise from time to time, while Anxia has no intention of protecting her child, sending the child to an orphanage was the best option.
That night Qiao Anxia was very happy because she didn’t have to care for and raise the fetus she was carrying. She could also remove the traces of the bastard as far as possible so that she had sweet dreams when she slept.
She dreams of meeting her parents again and being together in her backyard. She remembered that day her father taught her to fly a kite for the first time.
It was the best memory she ever had before her family was destroyed by her enemies. Even so, her hatred and plans for revenge did not fade after waking up to a sweet dream. Instead, she was increasingly optimistic that her parents allowed her to continue her revenge plan.
That morning Anxia was in such a good mood that she was willing to do one good thing for the fetus.
Anxia opened her window to breathe in the fresh morning air. She stroked her huge belly in a big circle as she closed her eyes and smiled solemnly, enjoying the morning air.
“The distinctive aroma of morning dew, fresh cold air, and pleasant birds chirping. Isn’t this a nice morning for a walk?”
Dug.
Instantly Anxia’s smile vanished as soon as she felt something move under her palms... to be more precise, in her stomach!
What was that?
