Chapter 658: Too late
What scared them the most was their Boss. He looked too lethal and menacing and they could not stop the chills running down their spines. This was the first time ever they were seeing him this frightening and they were fortunate enough they worked for Noah and not against him. They would have only invited their deaths in that case.
The men dragged the fifth victim, who had lost his life after fighting a bout with their Boss, not caring about the blood stains on their hands.
Noah beckoned his last victim and smiled sinisterly at him, making the man tremble in fear. He had never seen such a demonic expression before, not even on Jared and he could not stop his heart from pumping madly in fear.
Instead of taking a step towards the ring, he took a step back and Noah raised his brows at him immediately. He blinked his eyes innocently at him and gave him a mysterious look and that was all it took for the man to give up his escape and accept his fate. Death was waiting for him and he had no choice to but accept it.
Slowly, prolonging his death as much as possible he dragged his body towards the ring as he kept his gaze fixed on the man who was staring at him like a grim reaper.
"Good that you came on your own. Otherwise, it would have been bloody if I had to bring you here." Noah commented as he watched his last prey enter the ring and the man immediately looked at the mess in the ring.
'Is the place any less bloody?' He wondered but did not dare voice out his thoughts.
Noah took a step forward and the man instantly took a step back out of fright. But that did not stop Noah from moving towards him and he continued until he was just at a hand-length distance from the man. He leaned forward and the man closed his eyes right away and turned his head away from him.
"Why are you this scared?" Noah queried innocently. "Do I look like a monster in your eyes?"
The cowering man's head snapped towards Noah immediately and he stared back at him in shock. 'Do you not think this is terrifying enough? Are you sure you are not the reincarnation of the devil?' He thought in his mind, his eyes dilating in fear. He shrunk his body, trying to appear as meek and harmless as possible.
"Do not worry." All of a sudden, Noah removed his boxing gloves and patted the man's cheek lightly. "I will not kill you today. It is not the time for you to die yet. I will spare you for some other day."
The man did not know whether to cry over his fate or rejoice at being spared. Although he was alive, it only meant that his death was pushed back by a few days and those dreadful days, the man discerned, would be the most tormenting moments of life.
"Clean this place. I want it spotless and dispose of all the bodies." Noah ordered before he returned to his office, not caring about the astonishing looks his men were giving him.
Anyway, his thirst for blood had been satisfied and he no longer had the desire to kill anyone. Noah had calmed down significantly and his rationality had returned. He could now face Aria without losing his cool at the thought of his grandfather.
Although Noah still felt his blood boiling every time he thought about his grandfather, it was not to the extent of wanting to kill someone. The anger and resentment were bearable and he managed to somehow calm down in seconds, much to his relief.
Noah's office was nothing less than a well-furnished room and he took a shower and removed all traces of blood from his body. His woman had the nose of a bloodhound, it would not do him well if she smelt the stench of blood on him. Already he had pissed her off by raising his fist at her father and kicking her in his anger, although by mistake. He could not add more to his misery.
Noah washed twice, thrice, even four times and was still not satisfied. He could still smell blood on him and he poured all the body wash on him and washed himself again until he was satisfied. By the time he departed from the Underworld base, it was some time past three and he had not a grain of food.
However, hunger seemed to have vanished for him that day. Even though it had been a strenuous day for him, he was not hungry and stayed as energetic as ever. As soon as thought of Aria, all his worries and grievances vanished and his face blossomed like a flower. She was his happy pill on any given day and even after learning such a devastating truth, she was all his heart needed to keep him alive.
'I should apologize to her sincerely. I have hurt her greatly today with my impetuous actions. I just hope she will forgive me and love me the way she did previously.' Noah prayed earnestly, even though he had an inkling that it would not be easy.
Nevertheless, he was not willing to let go of her. He had already been heartbroken after finding out about his grandfather. He could not and would not allow Aria to leave him. Noah vowed to do everything in his might to bring her back and make her forgive him. historical
Forcing all his unhappy thoughts at the back of his mind, he tried to smile and stay positive. But reality gave him a hard slap the moment he reached home.
Ian, Joshua and Ronnie were sitting in the living room with crestfallen expressions on their faces while the members of the West family were in sight. All of a sudden, a strong sense of foreboding filled his mind, and Noah increased his pace and almost ran inside the mansion, garnering everyone's attention at him.
"Where's Aria? Where is she? I need to meet her." He mumbled and looked around in a hurry and Ian and Joshua looked at each other before they stood up slowly.
"Where the hell have you been, Noah? We have been trying to call you and you have received none of our calls." Joshua hollered and Noah held his palm at him impatiently.
"I do not have the time for this. I need to speak to Aria. Where is she?" Recalling the room Ian had taken Aria to in the morning, Noah dashed in its direction, only to stop halfway when he heard Ian's next words.
"She's gone."
"What do you mean she's gone? Is she not in this room? Where is she? Is she in my room?" Noah was desperate to meet Aria and seek her forgiveness. So, he did not notice the strange expressions on his friends' faces.
"She's gone, Noah. She left with her father." Ian stopped him before he took another step. "Aria has left the mansion and Mr. West has vowed to never step inside here again."
