UNLIMITED SPEED

Chapter 123 123. WILL

"I should expect a few difficulties for this one too, right?," Noah prepared himself.

[[Probably]]

Lifting the book's cover, Noah's eyes fell on a set of golden words, "Those who wish to obtain power must give in to speed." The similar sentence left Noah surprised.

'Is this some type of motto, or magical word,' Noah wondered, but didn't put too much thought on it.

Turning to the next page, Noah steeled his mind for what ever would happen, but to the downfall of his fear, instead of shinning words his eyes fell on a set of diagrams and words.

A sigh of relief escaped his mouth at that sight, but just before he could relax even more, a yellow panel popped up in his eyes, followed by a powerful quake in the fabric of space around him.

[Transporting user to cultivating room...]

With those words, he felt a powerful light wrap around his body, his figure vanishing from the forest before he could react.

Noah suddenly opened his eyes in a blinding environment, a sharp pain spreading in his eyes, as the intensity of the light felt beyond the sun's!

It took him a few minutes to reopen his eyes, the light of the environment seemingly lower in intensity than before.

After that, Noah managed to Inspect his environment, and what he found left him in awe.

He was inside a room that was shaped like a square, around 50m on every side, but its height seemed endless from Noah's point of view.

Standing up, as he had been teleported still cross-legged, Noah moved to inspect the walls, but he also used his mental waves.

The walls of the room looked metallic, but Incredible runic patterns ran on their surface, which were the reason for the white light. The walls themselves being black in color.

Noah couldn't touch the walls due to the runic patterns that felt Incredibly hot to his consciousness!, but surprisingly their heat didn't go past a few inches from the wall.

Noah stared at the runic patterns in awe, they were so many that they almost completely overshadowed the black colour of the wall.

"What do I now," Noah eventually asked after a few minutes of staring.

[[Begin your cultivation, every other thing will fall in place]]

"Okay...," he replied unsure.

Walking back to his former position, Noah found the book on the black marble like floor of the room. Picking it up he opened to the diagrammed page, which also had a few words.

"The process of cultivating the speed force essence is a long and grueling task for those beginning alone. Luckily for you; whoever you are, I've compiled everything Into a few stages, skipping the stages that would require too much time and less benefits, for those that require a bit lesser time but exponential benefits," The writer started.

"Beware, the process, though relatively short, will be harsh and agonizing. The chances of death is also high enough to be considered. So continue this with those thoughts in mind."

"With that done, let's begin." The writer ended.

"Revised by The God of Speed"

Noah felt surprised by the ending, but when he thought to how everything he currently owned once belonged to the god of speed, that feeling quickly died down.

Quickly moving his eyes to the first diagram, which also had a few words, Noah got ready.

[[Don't you fear the possibility of dying]]

A panel suddenly flashed in Noah's eyes, his mind moving to reply.

'Why should i?,' Noah asked genuinely curious.

No words appeared in his eyes for a few seconds, a sigh soon escaping his mouth.

'Look, even if I was afraid, do I really have any choice. This is the only relatively quick way for me to get stronger in my current state, I'll definitely take my chances with death due to that. After all I've already died thrice,' Noah laughed, returning his focus on the book.

Studying the diagram, Noah realized that he was ready, since the diagram depicted a man sitting cross-legged.

"First stage: Meridians opening"

Moving to the second diagram, Noah saw the picture of a faceless man standing with black dots on specific points in his body. Beside the diagram was an explanation, which Noah didn't hesitate to read.

"To begin refining your body with the wonderful speed force essence, you must first allow the essence break through 6 essential points in your body, which are in pairs of two."

"These points are, the shoulder joints, the elbow joints, the wrist joints, the hip joints, the knee joints, and the ankle joints." The writer stopped.

"Note for you to accurately do this, you must supervise the movement of the essence with all your attention, as a mistake could lead to agonizing consequences."

"Also note that moving the raw speed force essence isn't an easy task at first try, which is why you must practice that."

"To learn this, turn exactly seven pages from your current one," The writer instructed.

Doing exactly as he was told, Noah's eyes landed on the title of the page.

"Substage: Essence control"

"To move the essence of the speed force, you must learn how it feels," The writer stopped.

"I believe you should be present in the special cultivation room. To activate it, say the password."

Noah frowned at the end of that paragraph, his mind wondering what the writer meant.

'Password?. I wasn't given any password,' Noah furrowed his brows.

[[The first sentence you read is the password]]

'You mean the golden words?,' Noah replied turning to the first page, his mouth opening to read out the words.

Still unsure, Noah read the words out loud, "Those who wish to obtain power must give in to speed."

As soon as he finished those words, the white runes Instantly glowed brighter, an intense buzzing sound filling Noah ears, then the white light went through multiple colour changes before settling on dark yellow.

[Current rank of speed essence: 1]historical

Right after the change of color and the appearance of a panel, what looked like yellow gas seeped out of the walls, a unique aura like Noah had never felt, permeating the room.

Noah felt his body rejoice when that strange energy came in contact with his skin.

He instinctively closed his eyes to enjoy that moment, a refreshing feeling spreading in his mind, mana never felt this good.

He eventually opened his eyes to find that the whole room was densely packed with that energy, but it didn't bother him in the slightest.

Returning his gaze on the book, Noah calmly read the next paragraph.

"Now that you've come in contact with the raw speed forces energy, you will have to make it do what you want. Do not worry I'll lead you through it."

"Firstly, I'll explain the basics of what you are going to be doing. I wouldn't be exaggerating if I say you'll be doing this for the rest of your life," The writer began.

"To control the speed forces essence like any other essence, you need to infuse your will into it. If you've ever used any energy that isn't the speed forces's', then this shouldn't be new," The writer paused.

"The only difference between other energies and the speed forces's', is that it only answers to my race, the speedlings."

Noah nod his head at that point, but a question inevitably rose in his head.

'Would it answer to me; an incomplete hybrid?,' he wondered.

"To infuse your will into the speed force essence shouldn't be hard, making it perform according to what your will demands, should. I advise you immediately try it," The writer paused.

Noah nod his head and immediately closed his eyes to attempt it, but he suddenly reopened them an instant later. His expression totally blank

Scratching the left side of his head, Noah smiled sheepishly, "I don't know how to infuse my will into anything."
