Chapter 397 397. WISH
Noah's dagger appeared in his hand, he could tell from his position that the hollow still had the will to fight. And although he didn't know how such would even be possible, he had to put it into consideration.
The hollow released a low hum and glared at Noah's approaching figure. Seeing as its opponent wouldn't stop nearing it, it began to move about.
Noah watched the hollow raise itself up with its arms.
'How will that even work?' he wondered stopping. His golems were following his lead so he could simply send the forward. Which he did.
The hollow discharged the energy within its figure at that point, and Noah watched tens of his golems explode when a wave of violent yellow energy washed over them like a small stream.
In an instant, the hollow emptied its figure of the stored energy, but there were still many golems around it ready to attack, but Noah made them explode instead.
He knew he couldn't hurt the hollow with that power, but he would need it to have energy within it to be able to hit it.
A large shower of icy particles filled the environment at that point, but a pulling force filled the area and everything vanished inside the hollow.
Noah felt ready to move, but the event that occurred right after the absorption stunned him.
The hollow still had its torso on its arms, but the energy-filled icy particles it had stored; flowed to the lower portions of its torso and began to rebuild its legs. Only this time they were icy-blue in color.
The new legs of the beast resembled its old ones, and because they were made out of about twenty golems, their sturdiness was incredible. Even Noah would struggle to punch through them in one go.
'Interesting,' Noah placed his hand on his chin. He had never seen the day variants heal themselves. Then again, he had never given them the chance to.
With a makeshift leg now present the hollow could move about almost normally.
'What should I do now,' Noah thought, in front of that scene. Seeing as the hollow was intelligent enough to rebuild its body, he couldn't help but wonder if giving it more power would do any good.
'It's the only way I know I can beat it,' He heaved a sigh before sending thirty golems forward, and all they were to do was explode.
The sheer sound of that event remained spectacular, but Noah inspected the scene with cold eyes.
Soon a pulling force acted on the particles and the hollow's figure appeared again. But this time it had its torso and head now filled with energy.
"Let's do this," Noah muttered dashing forward.
His valiant but naked figure crossed the distance between him and the hollow, and the two of them collided, mid-dash.
Noah felt his strength fail him, but ice spread beneath his feet to assist him, and he ended up not losing against the hollow.
Sending a punch toward the hollow's face, after raising himself with a tall platform of ice, Noah made sure to charge his fists with just the right amount of electricity, one that would run out immediately his fist connected with the hollow's face.
Thunder seemed to strike in that area, but it was only because his fists contained that much power.
His attack managed to make the hollow take a few steps back, but that was all it could achieve.
However, he wasn't disappointed by that outcome, since it was never meant to kill it, to begin with.
Noah let go of the beast's arm before executing the first form at point blank. A tactic that he had confirmed to be very effective.
The ground trembled and shattered at that event, but Noah did not stop until a wave of icy mist exploded in his face, signaling that the hollow had gotten tired of it.
The power in the mist was almost strong enough to make ice appear on Noah's skin after destroying his armor, but since that power had been gotten from him, to begin with, he could simply shrug it off.
Bolts of electricity manifested around Noah at that point, he was ready to end the hollow if he could, and he sent bolts of lightning forward to pave the way for his next attack.
The crackling projectiles landed on the hollow's figure and it tried to absorb it, but its figure was filled with ice, so it could only let their power run over its skin, damaging it in the process.
Due to the fact that the hollow still has a sense of being, it could tell when it couldn't take any more of something, and that scene proved it.
Right after the bolts destroyed relatively small chunks of its body, the hollow saw a beam of ice-cold particles travel towards its figure, and hit it squarely on its head bathing it in its power.
The cold energy within the attack had been overwhelming and had ended up converging in its head so much that it felt heavy. Too heavy for its body to handle.
It tried to move that mass of energy to the rest of its body, but unfortunately, Noah wouldn't let that happen.historical
His figure appeared before the hollow in a mere second and he unleashed the full force of his first form, pouring as much power as he could inside the execution, and the result was the broken head of the hollow, which immediately led to its death.
A sense of weakness filled Noah's body after that event and he sat on the ground to allow the wave of green particles enter his body and give him the levels he so desired.
[You have killed Hollow beast[Day-time Variant] Lvl 125]
[You have gained Exp]
[You have leveled up five times]
[You have received 5000 stat points]
[Your stats have been increased by 40%]
[You are no level 115]
He had leveled up four times during his three days journey killing 70 of the hollows. He was now properly at the peak of the middle stage.
Only because of this had he been able to manage the hollow, and also because of its size. Unlike the massive hollow on the first floor which he couldn't fill up quickly. The day-time variant didn't have that problem.
'Or maybe because I have improved, and my essence carried more weight and could fill more of its insides,' Noah contemplated taking a deep breath.
[You have successfully defeated the boss]
[You will now be teleported to the third floor]
He grunted at that panel, however. He wished he had time to rest, but the shining green light that overwhelmed his eyes confirmed that he couldn't
