Chapter 1326 - I Love You (9)
Gu Mohan and Tang Mo’er lifted their heads. A private jet was in the sky, with a gold alphabet ‘A’ embossed on it. It was luxurious and filled everyone with awe.
It was Country A’s president’s private jet.
Lu Yeming was here.
The private jet landed and the cabin door opened. A group of personnel dressed in black uniforms came out, followed by Fan Men. Fan Men stood aside and an imposing figure appeared from the shadows of the entrance.
It was Lu Yeming!
As time passed, Lu Yeming’s facial features became even more distinct. He wore a white shirt with black trousers, the classic outfit of men who wielded power. As he walked down the staircase, he looked over in their direction. The three years spent in politics and wielding great power had made him even more mature. His pupils were clear and his eyes were just like two whirlpools that could suck in one’s soul.
Three years later, Lu Yeming came back again. He exuded a majestic and dignified aura that made him easily stand out from the rest.
Seeing him, Tang Mo’er’s gaze turned gentle. Lu Yeming would always be her younger brother, no matter what.
Ouch! She suddenly felt a twinge, Gu Mohan had pinched her hand.
Tang Mo’er looked at him, she was a little worried. She was afraid that Mr Gu would hate Yeming.
She, Mr Gu and Yeming were supposed to be one family. She didn’t wish for there to be bad blood in this family since she would be caught in the middle and be put in a difficult situation.
Lu Yeming walked over in their direction, stopping some distance away from them, with his gaze on Tang Mo’er’s face.
After some time, he moved his lips. “Sister, it’s been too long.”
Tears welled up in Tang Mo’er’s eyes.
Gu Mohan suddenly let go of her hand. “Go to him.”
Tang Mo’er was stunned, looking at Gu Mohan in bewilderment. Did he just ask her to go over?
Noticing her bewilderment, Gu Mohan raised his brows. “Although I don’t really like him, you love him, so I’ll love him too.”
Gu Mohan that Lu Yeming still loved her.
If not, why would Lu Yeming stop in front, leaving some distance instead of walking over?
Lu Yeming had kept his love for Tang Mo’er hidden all along. Mo’er left everything behind just to save him three years ago and now, he didn’t want Mo’er to be caught in the middle, so he didn’t walk over to her. He just stood far away, quietly watching her.
Mo’er had just come back and Lu Yeming had immediately rushed over.
Inside, Gu Mohan felt ridiculed. Lu Yeming loved Mo’er so much, how could he lose to him?
Not expecting him to let her go, Tang Mo’er felt really thankful to Gu Mohan. She stretched her legs out, walking towards Lu Yeming.
“Yeming, it’s been long.”
Lu Yeming’s gaze turned tender. “Sister, have you been well?”
“Yes!” Tang Mo’er nodded excitedly. “I’ve been well. I’ve fully recovered from the AR poison and even gave birth to a daughter. Yeming, you have a niece.”
Lu Yeming’s eyes were bright. This powerful man could always make one mesmerized by him when he chose to be gentle. “What’s her name?”
“Gu Sihan.”
historical
Gu... Sihan...
Si... Han...
The corners of his lips kicked up. “I’m sure that I’ll like her a lot.”
“Yeming,” Tang Mo’er called his name, “I heard that you’ve gotten married?”
Lu Yeming didn’t really have any expression on his face, his gaze unfathomable. No one could figure out what he was thinking.
He kept the smile on his face. “Mm, I’m married.”
Tang Mo’er’s nose was slightly red. “Were you happy for the past three years? Did you have someone by your side to provide you with warmth... and not allow you to be alone anymore?”
But Lu Yeming merely continued smiling at her, not saying anything.
Tang Mo’er’s lashes fluttered and tears trickled down her cheeks. She gradually stretched out her arms. “Yeming, let me hug you?”
Lu Yeming’s eyes shifted and he looked at Tang Mo’er hesitantly.
Those teary eyes of hers were crinkling into a soft smile.
Then Lu Yeming took a step forward, stretching his arms out to hug her.
Her body was warm, really warm.
It was the same as that last moment before she left him, when she hugged him from behind. It gave him so much warmth.
Lu Yeming furrowed his brows, tears instantly welling up in his eyes. He started hugging her even tighter.
“Sister... I’ve missed you...”
He said in a husky voice that was slightly choked up.
Tang Mo’er hugged him tightly in return. Yeming was a lonely person, he must have felt so alone for the past three years.
She had handed Yeming over to Qingqing three years ago, but they didn’t end up together. In the end, Yeming and Qingqing had missed their opportunity after all.
“Yeming, have you figured anything out over these three years?
“What is love? Actually, love is really simple. It’s not that complex at all. You can tell from the way a man looks at a woman.
“Yeming, you said that you love me, romantically. However, your love for me is not simple. Everyone says that your relationship with Qingqing is not simple at all. All of that scheming against Qingqing, it’s really simple in my eyes, I can tell that you love her. You’ve never deviated on your path towards love. You started off from liking her, and it’s somehow grown into a deep love for her. That’s the most uncomplicated, most simple kind of love.
“Yeming, I will never leave you. Not now, not in the future. What you can’t forget about me is the companionship I provided you with, I can continue to give you that. However, you must understand that love comes in many forms, but not all are romantic. The romantic kind of love must be the one... you yearn for the most and will never want to let go off.
“Many years ago, when Mr Gu first came to our house. We were in front of the door and you had managed to grasp my waist, but you chose to let go... Yeming, you must learn to understand your innermost thoughts. The one person you want to hold onto the most, the one that you feel is the hardest to let go of, that person is your true love.”
After speaking, Tang Mo’er lightly pushed Lu Yeming away.
Gu Mohan walked over, holding Tang Mo’er’s hand before he looked at Lu Yeming. “Yeming, we’re getting married soon. Your sister does not want to hold a wedding so we’ll just invite a few friends over to hold a simple house party. You must come.”
By now, Lu Yeming had hidden away his emotions, looking at Gu Mohan straight in the eye. “Sure.”
“Yeming, we’re leaving now.”
Gu Mohan took Tang Mo’er with him and left.
Lu Yeming stood on the spot, watching them leave. They continued holding hands, their fingers interlocked. When they made a turn, Tang Mo’er suddenly came up on her tiptoes and planted a kiss on Gu Mohan’s cheek.
“Mr Gu, I’m really thankful to have you.”
