Chapter 2073 – Help

Chapter 2073 – Help

These seemed to be questions that he’d never asked before. Many truths had been placed in front of him a long time ago, his thoughts never traveled in that direction.

People said that Mo Yi was the first being born in the nothing, that she lived and died with the nothing. So then.. where did the three hundred and sixty-five demon gods, and the ones who’d already died, come from?

Out of thin air?

Mo Yi couldn’t have appeared out of thin air either. It was likely that all of this had to do with that so-called Divine Temple of Nothing. As for the circumstances that he was caught in, he couldn’t break through the combat art or dismantle it. There was no answer!

Lu Yun brainstormed for a long while and finally shook his head with resignation. Although the Tome of Life and Death could temporarily withstand the forge of heaven and earth, he himself would be refined given enough time. They would turn into a new treasure without a master.

“Well, this is embarrassing. It’s downright mortifying. I really don’t want to voice that word.” Lu Yun looked wordlessly up at the heavens, taking a moment to compose himself before yelling out, “Help!!”

....

Outside of the forge of life and death, the fire god envoy dug into his ears.

“What is he yelling?” he asked incredulously.

“Our husband.. seems to be calling for help,” the little fox said weakly.

“That he is,” Qing Yu responded seriously.

“Haha.. HAHAHA!!” the envoy laughed uproariously, derision and scorn in his gleeful laughter. “I’d like to see which idiot who wants to die will come save him! Any who dares intervene in the affairs of the divine temple will find no succor within nihil and existence!”

The envoy brimmed with confidence. He was a representative from the divine temple!

Thunk!

A fist appeared in the void and slammed into his eyeball.

The fire god envoy froze, then flew backward.

“Well well well, aren’t you something, Temple of Nothing.” A lackadaisical young man huffed on his fist and yawned widely.

“Big brother?” Qing Yu goggled at the young man.

“Oh, good morning, baby sister!” Qing Buyi roared with laughter and greeted Qing Yu and the little fox.

The little fox rubbed her eyes, unable to believe the sight in front of her. Someone had come to save Lu Yun as soon as he cried for help?

Qing Buyi?

A spacetime traveler?

“So you’ve been here all along and was just waiting for husband to ask for help?” The little fox understood.

“It’s so pleasing to the ear to hear Lu Yun beg for help,” Qing Buyi cackled. He turned around to consider the man he’d punched. “Yo, and I wondered who it was speaking so cockily. So it’s the venerable fire god envoy! How long has it been since you’ve brushed your teeth?”

“Spacetime traveler, how dare you intervene in the divine temple’s matters?” One of the man’s eyes was swollen shut and his expression the blackest of night.

“Divine Temple of Nothing? You dare call yourselves divine?” Qing Buyi’s tone and expression darkened as well. “Bunch of traitors!”

“Traitors?” the envoy snorted. “The victor is king and God is of the past. Only the Present God is present within the temple now!”

“Present God?” Qing Buyi snickered and bared his teeth. “Then I’ll start with you and beat all you traitors back into the past!”

He rolled up his sleeves and slammed his fists at the fire god envoy.

“Just you? You’re only a mere spacetime traveler! You dare strut around in front of a divine envoy just because you’ve inherited part of the Spacetime God’s power?” The envoy was wholly unimpressed.

A strict hierarchy was in effect at the divine temple. Envoys were the great god’s representatives. The master of the fire god envoys was the master of the fire god temple—the Fire God. Meanwhile, messengers were ranked beneath envoys.

However, the Spacetime God and his envoys were long gone. The so-called spacetime travelers had inherited part of his powers and could journey through space and time. But what did that count for? The Spacetime God was dead.

The fire god envoy had been caught off guard by the ambush, but that didn’t mean he was weaker than Qing Buyi.

BOOM.

A mushroom cloud rose from the ground as Qing Buyi and the fire god envoy clashed against each other.

“Oi, you two can fight if you want, just don’t hurt my precious baby cousins,” came another voice—Chen Xiao.

Chen Xiao and Qing Buyi were peas in a pod. One was never far from the other.

He showed himself to protect Qing Yu and the little fox, calmly taking out a hammer from his robes. He tapped the combat art from the forge of heaven and earth with a casual air.

“Slowly, slowly! Don’t hurt Lu Yun with the reverberations!” Qing Buyi hollered as he fought.

“Don’t worry, it’s just a combat art.” Chen Xiao waved at Qing Buyi, indicating for him to finish the envoy as fast as possible.

The envoy squawked with outrage, but Qing Buyi was oddly much stronger than he anticipated.

“C-cousin, how did you guys get so strong? Isn’t the envoy a powerhouse beyond the nothing?” Qing Yu’s eyes widened and she stammered her confusion.

“We took some time off and followed the river of time to a certain era, cultivating there for a bit,” Chen Xiao responded easily.

Who the hell knew how long they’d cultivated for?

The Temple of Spacetime had been so strong and destroyed first because what they utilized was too uncanny and unbelievable. Although they couldn’t alter the future or present, they could jump to any point in time to cultivate. No one knew how strong they could be.

When one reached the level of nothing, time alone was insufficient to raise one’s level. Opportunity, treasures, and comprehension were all critical factors.

But somehow, those in the Temple of Spacetime could find undiscovered treasures in the river of time, determine their location, and return to present day to excavate them.

And thus, the Temple of Spacetime was no more. Mo Yi had given its last heritage to the four spacetime travelers—Chen Xiao, Qing Buyi, Lu Feng, and Moran Dongning. They were the final hope of the temple, so they would take advantage of the opportunity for all their worth.

No one had any idea how much they’d made off with. And with Mo Yi and the Dao King’s aid, it was the easiest thing for them to increase their strength.

....

Cracks splintered across the combat art from the forge of heaven and earth and it looked ready to shatter.

BOOM.

Bright red flames arced through the void as a massive forge landed from the sky, right on top of where the combat art had been.

It continued to refine Lu Yun. This was the real Forge of Heaven and Earth!
