Chapter 2164.1: Fengxian Wu

Chapter 2164.1: Fengxian Wu

A lithe woman wearing a red silk dress and a thin veil across her face ran in circles inside the Ascella Formation, trying to find the exit. It was only three meters wide, but she couldn’t walk out of this range no matter how she tried.

Lu Yun stood outside the formation and sized up its prey.

“No wonder grandfather didn’t allow me to touch her, but wouldn’t let her go either. She’s not an ordinary person.” He cocked his head as his fingers flew through a few hand seals, making the smoothly operating Ascella Formation to grind to a temporary halt.

Grandfather wouldn’t let him touch her before, and now he wasn’t the slightest bit interested in her. Not because of the three thousand reincarnations, but because there were two faint figures at the bottom of his heart. Even though he’d forgotten them for now, they still left an imprint on his heart.

It seemed that everything he did now, including forgetting them.. was for them. He did so in order to remember them anew in the future.

“Hmm?” The woman in red frowned and spun around, facing a Lu Yun who wore an amused expression on his face. “Lu Yun!” Her voice was cold and her fingers twitched, as if wanting to attack the young man.

However, she subconsciously glanced at the ramrod straight Lu Xuan next to him, then at the formation around her. There was nothing else she could do but sag with resignation.

“It’s been a while, Miss Feng. Have you been well?” Lu Yun’s gaze brazenly roved over her body. A meaningful upturn curved his lips.

Fengwu's face turned stiff and she snorted frostily, “Thanks to young master Lu’s care, everything is well.”

“That is good..” He continued scanning her body, particularly the especially sensitive areas. The bottom of his eyes, however, were as clear as water. There was no lustfulness to be found there.

“Lu Yun!” Fengwu couldn’t flounce off, but neither could she just stand there for Lu Yun to look his fill. She was incredibly irritated—although the young man had stopped the formation, he hadn’t opened it to let her out.

“Eh? What are you still doing here, Miss Fengwu? Grandfather’s gone into closed door cultivation, so the formation is operating on its own. While I can pause it, I can’t hold it like this for long.” Lu Yun looked at Fengwu with equal parts surprise and bafflement.

“How, how am I supposed to leave when you haven’t opened it?!” Fengwu snapped.

She’s a child, alright, that’s all it took to make her angry. Although a golden core cultivation level isn’t weak, how did she make it to Dark City without getting captured along the way? Lu Yun smirked to see Fengwu turn beet red with anger. “Aiyaya, just look at me. How come I haven’t opened the formation yet?”

And yet, he did nothing and remained sizing up Fengwu.

Lan’er burst into snorts of laughter; she could sense Lu Yun’s changes over this period of time. The previous young master had either hit her or beat her, but while his general behavior remained the same after waking up, he was much more caring toward her than before.

Lan’er was a fourteen year old girl with a simple nature. She could discern who was good to her and who wasn’t. Right now, she could tell that although Lu Yun’s gaze was aggressive, it was more teasing than anything else. But as someone bogged down by the details, Fengwu naturally missed the change.

“You!” Fengwu ground her teeth, but could do nothing about her situation.

Lu Yun normally fawned over her and curried favor with her. Other than a lack of personal freedom, her treatment was on par with the young master in the Lu residence. She’d thought she could escape thanks to the enormous upheaval today. Who would’ve thought that a mere Ascella Formation would trap her?

Lu Yun judged it a good stopping point for his teasing and waved his hand, allowing Fengwu to walk out.

“Aren’t you something, Lu Yun!” Fengwu bit off and turned to leave.

“Aiyaya, why are you leaving just like this, Miss Fengwu? It’s been so long since we’ve seen each other. Come, let us have a good chat.” Lu Yun shamelessly followed after her and kept up a litany of ingratiating remarks while he focused on her chest.

Fengwu’s face twisted with distaste—she felt like there were countless ants crawling over her body. It was the worst possible feeling.

“Lu Yun, I can dig your eyes out, you know!” she spat out with a sudden stop.

“Eh?” The young man played innocent. “What makes you say that, Miss Fengwu?”

His eyes remained busy looking at her chest.

Fengwu wanted to cry. No one had ever treated her with such disrespect in her entire life! The men she normally met either treated her as a goddess or at the very least, with extreme respect. Even the previous Lu Yun only had fawning smiles for her when he saw her. Although his gaze was lecherous, he’d only dared sneak peeks, not brazenly disrespect her like he did now.

Apparently, someone had sent this kid into a coma for three months—why hadn’t they just beaten him to death?!

“Oh, yes,” Lu Yun suddenly thought of something. “The third rank pill that I gave Miss Fengwu last time—the Origin Nurturing Pill. I would request that the miss return it, please.”

He suddenly stepped in front of her and blocked her way.

“You..” Fengwu paused, not knowing how to react. Although it’d only been a third rank pill, it had been very useful to her. She’d refined it the day he gave it to her.

Lu Yun had given it to her because he wanted to find favor in her eyes; he’d forced her to accept it, but now wanted it back after so much time had passed? That was.. the height of shamelessness!

It was her first time encountering such a situation, so she didn’t know what to do.

“Miss Feng knows the current circumstances of the Lu Clan as well, we’re very tight on funds! The Origin Nurturing Pill is a third rank pill. There’s not that many third rank pills in the empire, so.. ai!” Lu Yun sighed heavily despite himself. “Please return it, miss!”

“You’re completely shameless!” was all that Fengwu managed after grinding her teeth.

Amusement sparkled deep in Lu Yun’s eyes while he answered carelessly, “Shameless? Miss Feng, how am I shameless? Please return it to me!”

“You.. I’ve already eaten and refined it!” Fengwu ground her teeth even harder.

“Huh? Refined it?” Lu Yun lifted his head blankly and stared at Fengwu’s face veil, as if wanting to lift it through the sheer force of his gaze. “I remember Miss Feng said that she would rather die than ever eat my pill? Did it taste good?”

“You..” Fengwu flushed bright red and her eyes seemed ready to spit fire. How dare this kid toy with her like this?! Thank goodness only Lan’er and the wooden Lu Xuan were around. I just need to have a thick enough face to brush this off!

Lu Yun remained expressionless, like he hadn’t heard anything. Lan’er’s eyes were curved into crescents and her shoulders shook from the force of her laughter. She’d been present when the young master gave the pill to Fengwu. The maid completely remembered what the woman had said back then.

“Stop wasting your time and efforts. I would rather die here than eat a pill from a evildoer like you!”

Lu Yun.. had put the pill down and left sheepishly.

So it turned out that the proud Miss Feng had refined it as soon as they’d left!

“I’m sure you’re joking, Miss Feng.” Lu Yun stroked his chin. “How would someone as proud as you go back on their word? The pill must be stored on you somewhere and you’ve said all this to anger me. How about this, permit me to search your body?”

He reached out with both hands before she could respond and reached for her chest.

“Get away from me!” Fengwu shrieked and released a burst of true origin from her body. It immediately sent Lu Yun flying and she quickly backed up, staring coldly at the Lu young master.

Lu Xuan looked sharply at her and snowy radiance rose from his form. He shifted forward and stabbed at the center of her forehead.

Fengwu sniffed coldly and quickly made some hand seals. As she moved, the image of a kaleidoscopic phoenix appeared behind her and shifted ethereally according to her movements.

Bam!

Lu Xuan was also sent flying, along with his sword. He remained unmoved and called upon his sword, sending a ray of turquoise sword light out from his hand.

“An upper rank treasure? How does a deathsworn of a minor Lu Clan own an upper rank treasure?” Fengwu was startled to see the sword light, but burst into laughter. “So what if you have an upper rank treasure? Your skill with the sword.. Bah, can this even be called skill?”

Instead of responding herself, the phoenix behind her rebuffed Lu Xuan’s sword light and sent Turquoise Willow flying.

Lu Xuan spat out a mouthful of blood.

“Enough,” Lu Yun said.

A pale Lu Xuan returned to his post behind the young master like nothing had happened. Turquoise Willow vanished as a streak of light into his body.

“Hahaha, there is much more to Miss Feng than meets the eye! A qi refinement fellow like me was able to take a golden core powerhouse alive? Tsk tsk, should I shower myself with some compliments?” Lu Yun stroked his chin and smirked at Fengwu.

She stared frostily back at him and it seemed like her body was bathed in a pillar of flame. “How would you have possibly captured me if not for the fact that I was gravely injured?”

“Oh I see,” Lu Yun nodded. “So you owe me a great debt of gratitude instead? I am actually your savior?”

“Shameless!” Fengwu’s eyes nearly spat fire.

Lu Yun continued as if he hadn’t heard a thing. He shook his head and said with great self-satisfaction, “Miss Feng is a stunning beauty and was heavily injured.. If it wasn’t for this young master bringing you home with me and ensuring your safety.. you would be in very ghastly straits now.

“Uh uh uh, don’t be in a rush to refute me. There are more noble scions than this young master in Dark City. If you’d met Zhao Chenguang or Yu Shuai, you’d already be their bedwarmers.”

Fengwu’s eyes blazed when she heard the term bedwarmer, but Lu Yun spoke the truth. If it hadn’t been for Lu Tianling, she would already be a toy for Lu Yun’s lustful whims.

The elders of the other great families rarely interfered with the activities of the good-for-nothings in their clans.
