Chapter 45 Unfilial Son

CHAPTER 45

POW!

A hot slap flew across Sun Jungyi's cheek, turning his head to the side. His eyes blinked severally as his mind tried to get a hold of what was going on.

Slowly, he brought his head back up and looked forward at his attacker.

POW!

"Idiot!" The older looking man thundered in rage. His nostrils flared and his brows furrowed deeply as he gazed upon the man in front of him.

"A total waste of resources," he added.

This time, Sun Jungyi lifted his hand to his lips and touched the wet patch staining outside his lips. His eyes widened when realization dawned on him.

'Blood! Damn it old man!' He cursed inwardly.

His thoughts were soon interrupted when he saw a black long thing being raised and about to land on his head. He moved fast and lifted his hand to prevent it.

"Drop your God-forsaken hand you dimwit," the older man hollered again. The way his face contorted and the anger that steered in his eyes told Sun Jungyi that he had crossed the line.

"FOOL!" The man bellowed again. "Do you have any idea what your uselessness has caused me, huh?"historical

Sun Jungyi did not respond and kept quiet. "Answer me!" the old man hollered at him.

"What do you want me to say? They got me angry and hit me. I did the next right thing and fought back."

His eyes darkened at the words said. "The next right thing, huh? Since when did I not notice I was training a thug?"

"Father."

"Do not dare call me that!"

"But father, I am your son and you cannot deny that," Sun Jungyi protested.

"Shut up, no more nonsense from you." He advanced forward, walking past the glass table in the living room. "Do you think I would not know about the nonsense stunt you pulled today?"

"What is there to hide? I defended myself," Sun Jungyi spat out angrily. He took a step forward, ignoring the towering figure of his father and stared straight into his eyes. "I did the right thing."

POW!

Another hot slap sent his face to the side again. This time the effect it came with left his brain and ears buzzing for such a long time.

Mr Sun's chest rose and fell with great might as he watched his son through anger filled eyes. "You are a disgrace! How could you utter those words from your mouth when you know just how much this business means to me?"

"Huh?" His brows furrowed as he tried to make sense of what his father meant through his fuzzy brain. All he could make out was the buzz that never seemed to stop.

He cringed when a fresh pang of pain assaulted his brain. 'Damn it.'

"You are of the Sun family, the second son of Sun Wu Jang. How dare you tarnish my name?!"

"Father I did not do anything like that." Hearing this, Sun Wu Jang lifted his hand, ready to impale another slap on his face but stopped.

He gritted his teeth and attempted to try again, but he felt something hold onto him, preventing him from unleashing his full terror.

"Aish!" He yelled and turned around, snapping his hands from his captor.

"Sung Yichen, you should understand father," another young man advised while he adjusted his tie. "You are the second son of the Sun family. You should treat this name and matter with care."

"What?" He snapped. "And how have I not done that?" Sun Jungyi fought back.

Sun Wu Jang whipped his head to the side and marched towards the pair. "You are still talking?"

"Father, father, please stop," the young man intervened quickly. He rushed between the two, lifting his hands to prevent any further assault.

"I should kill you where you stand, unfilial son." He peeled his gaze from his useless son and looked at the older one. "Yichen, move out of the way, so I can deal with him," Sun Wu Jang ordered.

"Father, please."

"Yichen, move. I can defend myself."

Not heeding any of their words, Sun Yichen stood steadfast in his spot and pushed his father back.

"You can hear him? If not for this scoundrel, there would still be hope for us to deal with Liu's entertainment company but here we are. We lost every chance."

"What?" Sun Jungyi's brows creased further as he took time to accept the news. "What do you mean by that?"

Sun Wu Jang's eyes flew open in rage. "Now he is acting dumb!" He thundered.

"Father," Yichen intervened again.

"No." Due to his heavy drinking a while back and the numerous slaps he got from his father, his brain seemed to have taken more time to process what his father was saying.

"Wait. I recall going to the tennis court when I heard Liu Xueyi was playing there today, all for the sake of the company." His voice rose at the last pitch and he looked back up to face his father. "You see. I have this company's interest at heart."

He took a step forward, wanting to impale his fist once more on his son when Sun Yichen held him back again.

"Is that the only thing your good for nothing brain can comprehend? How about you insulting the heir apparent to Liu Corporation all for a useless woman?!"

DANG!

It felt like a recorder was played in his mind and immediately all of the memories came rushing back in full force.

He spent the next minutes organizing the memories and understanding what had gone wrong.

"Ho-ho, so you have recalled all that happened, huh?" His father taunted.

He whipped his gaze up. At the same time, his eyes landed on his father's and he gulped visibly. Immediately, he wasted no time and went down on his knees.

"Father," he dared himself to speak. "I am sorry. I never meant to." He licked his lips and lifted his hand in front of his face as though he was praying.

"I swear. I am sorry. I never intended for such to happen, father. I only wanted to help."

"You sure have helped plenty. And should be punished for it," Sun Wu Jang finalized. He looked around and then an idea struck him.

"Get me, my gun someone."
