Chapter 1032 - Say That I did right...

Doctor and Xiao Min left while Jiang Yuyan continued sitting in the bed as her sight never left the view outside of the window. Getting out of bed, she went to the gallery, where she looked at the starry sky.

Jiang Yuyan remembered what she said to Lu Lijun in the office. He is a burden of her life, and she wants to get rid of him. He is nothing, but one responded to her that Lu Qiang left.

Since the moment she said it to him, she couldn’t be in peace knowing how much she had hurt him.

Looking at the sky, her eyes turned teary. "I’m sorry, Lu Qiang. I hurt him today... I’m sorry.. You can be angry with me, but you know I had no other way. I couldn’t let him see me like that. You know it well I didn’t mean it, right?"

She never meant it and never thought of Lu Lijun as just responsibility. He was someone precious to her, but at that moment, she had to say it when he asked her.

She didn’t wish him to see her in the painful condition and didn’t want him to know anything. She had to say it so he would leave as soon as possible.

Jiang Yuyan continued talking to Lu Qiang, "I’ve been hurting him for the past nine years. I feel bad, but you know it’s for his own good, right? I can’t let him know anything. We have to keep him away from Everything... or...we know what will happen. Making him hate me and keeping away from me was the only way, you know it, right?" Jiang Yuyan couldn’t stop her tears and ended up crying.

"I did right. Can you say that to me? Just once say that I’m right," she kept looking at the sky with her teary eyes, hoping to hear Lu Qiang.

"You did right," said someone, and Jiang Yuyan knew who it was.

She didn’t turn to look at the person and wiped her tears.

The person continued walking towards her and stopped next to her in front of the gallery railing.

"Everything you did was for his good. As much as it hurt him, it hurt you more, I know it."

"Why are you here?" Jiang Yuyan asked.

"My boss needs twenty-four hours nanny service," replied Xiao Min and offered her the medicines.

Jiang Yuyan tried avoiding looking at him and cleared her throat, "You can take a break from it."

"I can’t unless the boss learns to take care of herself," he said, still holding the medicines that his boss didn’t wish to take.

She looked at the medicines and frowned, "I won’t take this one."

"Doctor asked to take it by any means," Xiao Min insisted.

She sighed, "When these medicines will work, you would be the one in trouble."

"I don’t mind."

Jiang Yuyan pressed her temples annoyingly, "But I’m fine without it. Do you people enjoy seeing me in pain?"

"Yeah, I liked it when my boss can’t order me and can be silent for some time," Xiao Min replied and held the medicines in front of her face.

Jiang Yuyan picked them up and ate them right away without getting a glass of water from Xiao Min. She crushed the medicines with her teeth and looked at him, "Happy?"

Xiao Min nodded and passed her a glass of water. "I wonder if the boss’s taste buds have died."

"It’s not that bad. Why don’t you try eating one?"

Xiao Min didn’t reply to it and instructed, "It’s late. Boss should sleep."

Jiang Yuyan turned to get inside the room and got on the bed, "Don’t you dare come check on me in the middle of the night."

"I won’t," Xiao Min assured.

Xiao Min left the room and went to his room. Though he said he wouldn’t check on her, it was his habit to get up in the middle of the night and check on her, or he couldn’t sleep peacefully.

Xiao Min went to check on her, and thankfully she was sleeping, and he felt relieved.

---------

The next day it was Saturday, and Xiao Min left early morning to go somewhere. San Zemin came to the home where he met Jiang Yuyan just after she woke up.

"Morning boss," he greeted her, who was at one end of the garden, looking at the hills and the sunrise.

"Why are you here?" she asked.

"Xiao Min is not here, so...."

"Shouldn’t accompany him today?" Jiang Yuyan countered.

"One of us should be here," he countered.

Jiang Yuyan sighed, "Just go and accompany him to complain about me."

San Zemin cleared his throat, "There is nothing to complain about the boss."

She turned to look at him as the sarcastic words followed it, "I’m sure you too have a long list of complaints against me."

"I don’t dare, boss," he lowered his head.

"Go empty your list so I can fill it with new ones," she ordered.

"Boss..."

"Go. It’s my order," she declared, and San Zemin agreed.

"I’ll be in Lu Mansion today, so don’t worry about me," she informed, and San Zemin left.

------

Lu Lijun went for breakfast, and the seat on his right side was empty. Not seeing her around only added to his anger which made him think like she didn’t care about him. She was not concerned even if he was hurt or she should apologize to him.

"My friend couldn’t come yesterday, but he is coming today with his wife for dinner. I want everyone to be here," Lu Jinhai declared.

"I would be out," said Lu Lijun.

"I said everyone," Lu Jinhai said coldly.

Before Lu Lijun could say anything, Ning Jiahui spoke, "They welcomed us in their home; shouldn’t we do the same?"

Lu Lijun sighed and wanted to say what it has to do, but his father said something that Lu Lijun swallowed his words.

"Even Yuyan is coming once I asked her to, but you always have to go against other’s words."

Hearing what his father said, Lu Lijun spoke, "I’ll be home."

"We might talk about Lian; it would have been better if Lu Feng was here," Elder Lu spoke.

"I’ll ask him to return," Lu Chen said.

"Don’t disturb him. It’s already difficult for him to manage everything while being home," Lu Jinhai suggested, and others agreed.
