Madam, Your Vest Fell Again

Chapter 248: Friendship Between the Big Bosses, Go to Beijing

She put on the headphones while turning on the voice changer.

This was the headset she always used while conversing with Chang Ning.

But later on, after she exposed herself to Chang Ning and the others, she had stopped using the voice changer. The machine sounds of the voice changers were all equally emotionless across the market.

Matthew had always been direct. He immediately asked in a slightly thick voice, “Have you thought about what I said last time?”

“There’s no need to.” Qin Ran drew the curtains and stared out the window.

Matthew paused for a while. “You won’t suffer from joining us. Once you do, you can live lawlessly in the whole world, including Continent M.”

“I’m already doing that without you guys. When are you going to catch me?” Qin Ran said lightly. The sound of the machine was mixed with electric current, hurting Matthew’s ears.

She was rather self-righteous.

Matthew had no way to refute.

“What else do you want?” Qin Ran looked down. It wasn’t as dark outside as she had expected. The headlights were turned on and a group of people was walking around.

“Help me keep an eye on the headquarters.” Matthew frowned. “Someone just touched our system.”

Qin Ran raised an eyebrow. “There’s someone who dares to attack your headquarters?”

Were they in a hurry to give Matthew a proof of their crime?

Outside, the sound of footsteps neared. Qin Ran guessed that Cheng Juan and the others had come back, so she hung up the call.

**

At the same time.

Matthew was sitting at his office desk.

He looked about 30 years old and had deep eye sockets. He had a beard circling his chin, defined features, and a pair of completely brown eyes.

This wasn’t the first time he got hung up on.

He wasn’t surprised.

Over the past two years, the outside world was still guessing who the mysterious and powerful hacker behind Matthew was.

Some guessed it was Q, but the hacker’s appearance was short-lived and lacked any follow-up, so this matter simply became an unsolved mystery.

Matthew had also kept silent.

But most people’s guesses were correct.

The strength of the hacker behind him was obvious to all. All the other hackers were traceable, and only Q remained hidden.

Even Gu Xichi had asked Matthew about this before, but he had refused to answer. The person behind him was indeed Q, but of course, he himself didn’t know why Q had come to him a year and a half ago.

He didn’t think there was anything Q wanted to obtain from him.

However, this Q was a very principled person. He basically didn’t do anything illegal and only helped Matthew find some criminal records.

The more they cooperated, the deeper he felt like Q was really useful.

As such, he had been intent on tricking Q to the headquarters but had been unsuccessful.

At the thought of this, he could only sigh.

“This is the latest trade record of the Mas family.” Outside, someone pushed the glass door open and quickly handed a document to him.

Matthew put his thoughts of Q to the back of his mind and came over to take a look. Then, he put the document aside.

He took a sip of coffee.

His subordinate continued speaking, “Mr. Gu just called to ask you for a list. He said he couldn’t get through to your phone.”

Matthew had just been on the phone with Qin Ran, so it wasn’t surprising. He nodded. “What list does he want? Is someone else looking for him?”

Hearing this, his subordinate paused and said, “No, he wanted a very strange list of personnel.”

Matthew leaned on his chair and swayed his coffee cup slightly. “What list?”

“A name list of people who are equally as powerful as you.” His subordinate lowered his voice, puzzled.

Matthew’s eyebrow jumped. “What does he want that for?”

Because he often walked in dangerous areas and had indeed saved many people, Gu Xichi had good connections in Continent M and also owned a great reputation.

In Continent M, nobody would disgrace a doctor, especially if the doctor could pull him out of Hades’ doorsteps.

Thus, Matthew was a little surprised to hear that Gu Xichi wanted such a list.

“He didn’t say.” His subordinate shook his head.

The list involved all the big bosses of Continent M, some of whom knew Gu Xichi personally. Since it was just a list, Matthew turned on his computer to gather information for him.

He opened his social network application and clicked on Gu Xichi’s profile. Then, he sent the information directly.

“Oh, there’s one more thing,” Matthew’s subordinate said again after Matthew was done sending the information. He glanced at his phone and confirmed the message. “The men from the East just said that.. a commotion has started there.”

“Weren’t the men from the East side going to leave Continent M?” Matthew stood up with a throbbing headache. “They have already reached the last step, why aren’t they leaving?!”

They were always stirring the pot!

**

Gu Xichi looked through the name list.

The list Matthew had given him was naturally not just an ordinary list and had detailed information as well.

Gu Xichi felt his head throbbing at the bombardment of information.

“Are you sure Old Master Cheng only wants me to take a look at his condition?” He put down his phone and glanced at Jiang Dongye.

Jiang Dongye had followed Gu Xichi since October.

At the sudden mention of this, he was a little unaccustomed to Gu Xichi’s initiative but still explained the situation seriously. “Yes, Old Master Cheng has always been in poor health.”

Nodding, Gu Xichi didn’t answer immediately. He paused for a long while before holding his phone in his hands. “I’ll go back to Beijing with you after the New Year!”

Jiang Dongye’s always warm face looked surprised. “Brother Gu, you’re not lying to me?”

“How are your family and brothers in Beijing?” Gu Xichi leaned on the sofa and inquired seriously. “There are many who want to catch me in Beijing, especially those from the research institute.”

“Don’t worry. Other than your Brother, nobody else can touch our family.” Jiang Dongye put down his teacup and chuckled.

Holding his chin in his hand and frowning at Jiang Dongye, Gu Xichi reluctantly nodded after a long pause. “Okay, then.”

Continent M.. might be too chaotic in the following year.

He looked down at the list on the phone again.

A collision of bad forces would change the pattern of Continent M.

Although he liked to run to war-torn places, he knew his own strength too well. There were too many big bosses in Continent M and he didn’t want to mix in with their whirlpool.

**

After the New Year, Gu Xichi followed Jiang Dongye to Beijing.

At Continent M’s aircraft parking ground.

Qin Ran watched as Gu Xichi’s plane took off and then turned to look at Cheng Juan. “I might stay here. Do you have a separate studio here?”

When she had come here with the men from the procurement hall previously, she had already noticed that the overall technological level here was much higher than that of the manor.

The Yunguang Consortium’s affairs had been abandoned for a year and there were only three EA-series robots.

Cheng Juan squinted. The aircraft parking ground was independent of Continent M and wasn’t involved in the whirlpool.

He looked away and said softly, “Yes, I’ll take you there.”

Since she already knew the place, he took her directly to the building that she had visited previously instead of introducing the places to her.

The gate didn’t require pupil verification and just opened directly.

Cheng Juan had intended on sending off Gu Xichi and Jiang Dongye and hadn’t planned on staying.

But he suddenly appeared in the big building.

Huo’er, wearing a military coat and a felt hat, immediately hurried over. “Boss.”

The scar on his brow bone moved a little with his expression, making him look intimidating.

“Get the fourth floor ready. Miss Qin will be staying here for a while. Tell all the staff on the fourth floor to change places.” Cheng Juan took off his coat and glanced at Qin Ran before giving orders to Huo’er.

Huo’er was Cheng Juan’s first general. He guarded the border base of the aircraft parking ground at all times.

He received the orders in a loud voice. “Yes, Boss.”

Huo’er had always been quick on his feet. After receiving Cheng Juan’s orders, he quickly sent people to clean the fourth floor.

“Mr. Huo’er, are the people from the fourth floor going to the first floor for now?” His subordinate couldn’t help but complain to him while packing up. “How long is that Miss Qin going to stay here for?”

Huo’er frowned as well. He hated troublesome women. Ever since Leader Zhou left with the goods and even borrowed a few men from him to protect Miss Qin, he hadn’t had a good impression of her.

The aircraft parking ground, the vein of ore, the manor, and Cheng Tu’s place were four independent points.

Huo’er was basically busy guarding this side every day. Patrolling the surrounding trading floors was his favorite thing to do.

But now, Cheng Juan had just stuffed a delicate woman here..

He genuinely felt vexed.

“I don’t know.” Shaking his head, he stared at Cheng Juan and Qin Ran not far away and frowned. “I hope she has fun and leaves quickly.”

**

At the same time.

It was night in Yun Cheng.

Qin Yu spent the New Year in Beijing and came back to gather with the Lin family after a long time.

She sat beside Old Master Lin for the first time.

Ning Qing sat next to Lin Jinxuan, her status much higher than before.

“Mom, you didn’t pick up my sister for the New Year?” Qin Yu put down her wine glass and glanced at Ning Qing. “I didn’t see her around, and she didn’t pick up my calls either.”

Upon hearing this, Ning Qing’s smile narrowed slightly.

Meng Xinran had stayed in the Lin family’s house. After her arrival in Yun Cheng, the Meng family’s business had suddenly suffered in Beijing and had shrunk by almost two or three times out of the blue. It wasn’t peaceful there during the New Year period, so Meng Xinran had just stayed behind in the Lin family’s house.

Her arrogant face had become a little more gloomy because of this. Hearing Qin Yu, she said directly, “Your sister has dropped out of school. I heard she’s only coming back during the college examination.”

Qin Yu glanced at Lin Jinxuan directly and wiped the corners of her mouth with a tissue. “Sister has dropped out of school for a year again? What about her college entrance examination?”
