CH 36
Start of Volume 3
Daiki and Wakaba are now in high school.
For the first time in their lives, they were not together at the entrance ceremony because they were in separate schools.
Daiki sat facing the class with his name written on it until the entrance ceremony started.
After entering the classroom, he was nervous, but he talked to the people seated near him and became friends with them, and his nervousness melted away.
The entrance ceremony began and ended without incident.
After returning to class, plans for the day ahead were announced, and the day came to an end.
He exchanged contact information with some of the people he had become friends with and made friends with others.
At any rate, the day was off to a good start.
He sent a message to Wakaba to let her know that he had made friends.
After that, he went to have lunch with his mother and Tsukasa-san.
Today Tsukasa-san was not seen crying.
He said his father teased him about the picture of his crying face.
He said he was embarrassed.
They seem to be doing really well, which is a relief.
It’s a strange relationship, but that’s what makes it so special, he thought.
In the evening, he was getting ready to go to his father’s place.
“Daiki, are you finished getting ready?”
His mother call out to him.
“I’m almost done!”
He told her.
“Daiki, eat your dinner properly!
And don’t stay up late!
If anything happens, call me immediately!
Also..
..
..”
She conveyed many, many anxious comments.
“Got it!
I’ll be back this weekend, don’t worry!”
She looked sad when he told her.
“Okay!
Be good with your father!”
She said.
Tsukasa-san was watching anxiously behind her, but in the end he smiled kindly.
When night fell, his father would pick him up at the station so he walked to the train station.
Wakaba was waiting in front of his house.
“Daiki, have a good time at school!
If something happens, don’t force yourself and talk to me about it!
Even if I can’t come right away like before, I will rush over to you!
I promise!”
She said with a face like she was about to cry.
“I’ll be fine! Thanks, Wakaba!
Don’t overdo it, Wakaba, and do your best!
I’m rooting for you in so many ways!
I’m off!”
He told her that he was going to the station.
Wakaba said
“Good luck!”
and waved at him.
Daiki told Wakaba for the first time
“I’m rooting for you!
Is what he said.
He could not say it clearly yet, but he was able to put it into words.
After arriving at the station, Daiki got into his father’s car and together they drove to his house, where he was congratulated on his entrance into high school.
He prepared for his high school life starting tomorrow with high hopes for the future.
Wakaba felt lonely at her first entrance ceremony without Daiki.
She had never thought that she would feel so lonely without Daiki.
Until now, she may have thought she had to protect Daiki and always acted stout-heartedly.
She had a lot of friends at her local high school, but she realized that Daiki was a big part of her life.
While she was thinking about this, she was approached by Ren.
“Wakaba, I finally found you!
We were in the same class!
I’m looking forward to working with you in high school too!”
He said happily.
“Ren-kun, it’s good to see you again too!”
Some of her friends were in the same class with her, so she went to the classroom with them.
Wakaba and Ren were both well-faced and stylish, so they were the center of attention as soon as they entered the classroom.
The kids from the other schools came up to them and became friends right away.
After the entrance ceremony, everyone exchanged contact information, and the day ended with the end of school.
Tomorrow, normal high school life would begin.
Today, she went home with her parents, celebrated, and took her time.
From Daiki
“I made friends with everyone!”
It said.
“I’m glad!
I made friends with everyone, too!”
She replied back.
She asked around what time he would be on his way, and he said he would be heading to the station later in the evening, so she decided to wait in front of his house for that time.
Night fell and she waited for Daiki in front of his house.
A little later, Daiki came walking with his luggage.
“Daiki, have a good time at school!
If something happens, don’t force yourself and talk to me about it!
Even if I can’t come right away like before, I will rush over to you!
I promise!”
She told him
There was much more stuff she wanted to talk about, but it didn’t come together well.
She was so lonely that she almost cried.
“It’s all right! Thanks, Wakaba!
Don’t overdo it, Wakaba!
I’ll be rooting for you in many ways!
I’m off!”
Daiki said and started walking to the station.
Wakaba said
“Good luck!”
and waved him off until he was out of sight.
“He will be back every week, so it’s not like I won’t see him again!”
She had told herself that there was nothing to worry about, but she still couldn’t help feeling that Daiki was getting further and further away from Wakaba.
