16 Re-entering The Battle Inside The Dungeon!
"What do you mean by that?" I ask Casey. "Well, you see back when we were unconscious..." Casey explains to us about what had happened back then. Apparently, squad Silence had found them. Which is kind of funny considering they hate us. Then again, Cyan went with them and as Casey belonged to our squad she was left behind. But they did restore their mana barrier again it seems. But still, that's not only rude or cruel but also very risky. What if she encountered someone like Theodred back there. Tsch! She wouldn't have made it out alive. It's good that I met Casey before Rina found her here or else I don't have any idea what would happened to either one of them. I sigh.
"Whose this girl anyways, Henry? She looks like a demi-human." Casey says. "She is a demi-human." I say. "WHAT?!!!!" Casey scream aloud. Damn it! That scream definitely burst my ear down. "ARE YOU CRAZY?!!! WHY ARE YOU WITH A DEMI-HUMAN?!" Casey asks. "Long story, it's better we talk later about this, right now...We need to save Captain Tamie and Sean." I say. I need to rest though and quick...My breathing is getting heavy... "Are they in some kind of trouble?!" Casey asks. "Again long story...No time to waste." I say. I try to walk quickly but suddenly I feel a great amount of pain kicking in from my guts. "HENRY!" Casey holds my hand. "Your still not completely healed...To be honest your still not even 25% healed and you still plan to fight?!" Rina asks. "I do...Because...I have a duty as a knight..." I reply. "Wait, wait, wait, wait....What do you mean by 'NOT HEALED'" Casey asks. I guess I have no choice but to answer her. I sigh. "Well...Back then when I was fighting the dark elves who are the one's commanding this dungeon...I was stabbed by a some kinda lightning sword right through my guts. It's a pretty deep wound but through what Rina said to me, nothing vital was hit." I say to Casey.
"Alright shithead! Are you out of your mind?!" I look at Casey all confused about what she asked. "You haven't recovered, your wound hasn't healed, I am guessing your exhausted from using mana too. All that and you still want to fight plus can we trust this demi-human here?" Casey asks. Casey drops me on the ground. "Stay down! Me and the other's will take care of the battlefield. You better not move from here. I will send a medic soon." Casey says and leaves.
"She was very harsh because of me..." Rina looks at me and bows down to me. "Really sorry..." She says to me. "No, it's completely fine." I say but suddenly, my hand touches a bloody badge with a huge crack. It's a knights batch. The name on the badge says, Yuri Namika. I remember one of the guys mentioned by the people who contacted us was Yuri. If his badge of knight is here that means...Tsch! Plus all the blood around it. "I remember that guy...He begged for the King to spare his life over...And over...And over...And over again. But, the king wouldn't listen to him...Not even one bit...He just kept on slowly eating him from the toes up to his head. He screamed in agony...He screamed for hours as the King ate him like a chicken meal, not even leaving a piece of bone for him to bury. I felt bad for that person...But I didn't even have any choice but to watch because of this collar...I just feel like if I was free from this collar somehow, I would somehow help those people who died slow and painful death of the hands of Theodred. Everyone who enters the King's layer dies and hence, why the dark elves call this territory the Devil's Layer." That was a long explanation from top to the bottom.
No wonder how they are so strong. By eating their meal or us in other words, they consume our soul which has a great amount of mana power with us increasing their mana power over and over again. Elves normally don't eat humans, they consume animal flesh to increase their mana power and fulfil their hunger but dark elves...They are cruel and will do anything for power. Tsch!
There is only one way to deal with the dark elves for me now. I obviously can't get stronger in few hours or a day but what I can do is create something that will give me an edge against the elves and I know the perfect item that will help me get the edge against those elves. Casey might have told me to stay out of this battle but I am not staying out of it. There is no way someone who wants to be a knight can stay out of such an important event. I get up.
"Huh?! You are not planning to fight them are you?!" Rina asks me. "Damn right I am fighting those dark elves." I reply with a smile. "I will need you to do something for me though." I say. "I will do anything I can for you." Rina says. "Good!" I smile. "If I am correct, demi-humans can transform into their hybrid form too right?" I ask. Rina nods. I smile. "No, you don't plan to..." She got what I want from her. "You got it, I do plan to ride you and rest on you while we make our way to the battlefield." I say. "Okay, I will help you! But please...Becareful. My hybrid form is quite huge." Rina says. "Don't worry, it's time that the dark elves know my wrath." I say with a smile.
Theodred and his men have hurt enough people. It's time that I show him that he needs to fear something too. It's time I show him what I am capable of. It's true that I am slow and I may not be as strong as him and his people but what matters for me is what I have been taught and one of things that was taught to me by my mother was to never give up because giving up on something doesn't make a person a true knight.
"I am ready...Master...Henry..." Master?! When did she start calling me master? "Just Henry is fine." I say. "NO! If your riding me I want to call you Master because only my Master can ride me." Rina says. I am speechless right now. First of all, she makes it sound so wrong and second of all why does she need to call me a Master.
Suddenly, Rina begins to transform. First her head arches and then her back, her hands grow longer and then her legs too become thick and long. Both her nails start forming long claws of dark silver colour. A silver tail starts forming around her back which is quite pointy and shiny and a silver horn on her head. Her eyes grow in size and then finally, two huge wings with edges shining with the silver colour and the middle of it in white grow. Her whole body shines with silver while the middle of her body turns to white...She became a thing we hunt and are afraid of...She became a dragon...Demi-humans sure are a lot stronger then any of us normal humans for sure.
"This is my hybrid form...A steel dragon hybrid form..." Rina says covering her mouth with her right paw. "You can ride me now...Master." She continues. "Alright I guess..." I am still shocked to see this even though I knew she was capable of doing such a thing...I climb on her. Her body is really hard...It's real steel. It's going to be tough to break down through this body. A very strong body...Indeed. I fall on Rina's back and sleep. I need all the rest I can get if I am fighting those dark elves again.
45 minutes later,
*Yawn*
I begin rubbing my eyes as I wake up. "EEEEEE!!!!!" I see a door right in front of us, what is Rina planning to do? "Hey, hey, hey!" I try calling out for Rina but she doesn't listen. "Hang on tight, Master we are going through that door and to the King's room." Rina says. "So we are already here huh?" I ask. "Yes Master." She says. "THEN CHARGE!!!!" I command. "YES MASTER!!!" She obeys.
*SMASH*
We break right through that door. "Sorry to keep you all waiting." I see, all the squads have arrived here. We will be fighting here soon too. Don't worry Rina, everything will be fine from here on because I will free you from this cursed life and lead Theodred to his death!
