After healing from his wounds, Jacob get up and walked to the egg and Leon.

"Do you know what's egg it is?"

"I have no idea. But lets divide like that you can have all the others, I'll take the egg." Said Leon

"But the things here are stolen. Shouldn't we.. ah never mind. But is it okay with you?" When he was going to say return the owners but he remembered that the bandits didn't leave anyone alive while they were plundering.

Leon nodded, the gold was okay but he didn't interest in it. He already had enough gold to construct his city many times over. The egg was nearly half of his height and if it were to be mount type of magical beast it would be best but even if it wasn't, no problem for Leon. He would gain a magical beast either way.

Jacob didn't have any spatial bag so Leon took his share in a empty spatial bag then they departed form the cave. They had to bring the head for proof but Albert's head pulverized, so Leon took the rest of the body with him. Rather than the reward for the mission, Leon did learn something about him that he didn't hesitate to kill the bandits and he didn't feel like he was doing a bad thing. Even though he purified his mentality, he can't erase the memories he got from the corpses.

Leon and Jacob leaved the cave and after two days they returned to the academy. And gave Albert's corpse to the mission hall as proof. Because it didn't have head, they said it would take some time to verify. Leon didn't have any plan until the tournament and there was still time for the egg to hatch. Because they didn't eat anything since morning, Leon and Jacob went to the canteen to grab a lunch. When they entered to the canteen, they saw Andre, Frank and Mark who were eating. They looked surprised to see Leon and Jacob but they didn't say anything to them and continued to eat.

Leon thought maybe they were ashamed to leave them in entrance of the cave. But it didn't mattered to him, so he also ignored them as he make his way to the line. After taking the lunch they sat on table and started to eat.

"They came back huh, I thought they would be dead." Frank said in hushed voice.

"They would split the mission reward evenly, also they might found considerable gold in the cave. They either they lied about their abilities or the bandits weren't that much powerful." Said Andre with envy.

"It doesn't matter to us anyway." Mark said in resignation

"How it doesn't matter to us? We would've our share too from the loot." Said Andre. He was clearly thinking ways to take a share from the loot. If they lied about their abilities, he couldn't force them to give a part from the loot but even it the bandits were to weak, he still couldn't force them. Only solution was to use someone else to do job. But it also mean that he would have to share the profit if he wanted to get someones help. After thinking a bit he thought someone and leaved the canteen.

Leon and Jacob didn't think they would be targeted by their ex-teammates because of the treasures they got from the cave. After they finished their meals, they leaved the canteen. Leon was planning to ask Teacher Fiona about the egg so he said his goodbye to Jacob and went to the office of Teacher Fiona.

"Teacher Fiona are you there?" Leon asked while he knocking the door.

"I'm coming." Teacher Fiona answered and a bit later she opened the door then invited him inside. After entering, Leon took out the egg from his spatial bag and show it to Teacher Fiona and asked.

"Teacher I found it in the cave but I don't know the species of it. Do you know it?"

Seeing the egg, Teacher Fiona took it from Leon's hands and inspected it

"Probably, it is a griffon egg. You were lucky to find such a creature." Said Teacher Fiona. Hearing that Leon rejoiced to have a mount for himself.

"Do you have any taming techniques to tame this kind of magical beast?" asked Teacher Fiona, Leon shook his head. He didn't know taming techniques but he knew beast contract. Taming was actually some sort slave contract but a beast contract would make a magical beast a companion to the user. If it were to be a low graded magical beast, Leon didn't even thought about taming it. He would directly sell it.

"I know beast contract but I need to wait for the hatching to do ritual."

Teacher Fiona tapped her fingers on the egg and

"I can sped up the hatching, if you like to." Leon nodded. Teacher Fiona continued;

"It won't be free though."

"How much?"

"No, I don't need your money. You need to bring something to me from the system world."

Leon thought if she was in need a thing from the system world why wouldn't she go there.

"Leon you still didn't finish your research about the system world. It's true that the system world is a crosswalk world but there is a limitation. If you were to condense your soul embryo, upon entering the system world mark you as an intruder."

Hearing that Leon nodded but;

"Teacher, I assume that, the thing you want wouldn't be simple."

"You're right, I'm going to fulfill my karma and reincarnate soon but after reincarnation, I wouldn't have much treasure to begin to the road of magus. So thing I need water from primordial well, not much only a bottle would suffice. The water from primordial well have the power the purify the body and anyone would want to drink from it. Drinking from it would also gain for you."

Hearing that Leon nodded and They made the deal then they walked to the garden to make the circle for sped up the hatching. Leon didn't know the magic formation but from his memories he could understand every sigil in formation. Looking at the formation, Leon thought how he couldn't think such a formation. From this he understood that even though he had the bricks he couldn't make bridge from them. This made Leon realize that he needed to time to become more knowing magus. It was like his fighting, he was brute and didn't know any martial arts but he could overwhelm his opponents with his pure strength.

Leon put the egg in eye of the formation and leaved room for Teacher Fiona and watched the process from the sidelines. Teacher Fiona took a crystal from her spatial bag and put it on a specific point on the magic circle. Leon could feel massive amount of vitality from the crystal. The crystal wasn't transparent like soul crystals or bluish like mana crystals but it was transparent purple.

["It must be a vitality crystal, the mana could be found everywhere thus it wasn't needed for this formation but vitality is needed to sped up the growing."]

When she put the crystal down the sigils glowed in red and the crystal turned to dust and flew over the egg. Like a thirsty man in desert who found water, the egg took all of the dust inside and started to shake. The formations light died out and Leon heard a crack noise from egg. The creature showed its beak at first but as time passed, it break into pieces the shell. After fifteen minutes, Leon could see mix of eagle and lion. It was yellow in color and because it was newborn, it couldn't open its eyes.

Leon went over as Teacher Fiona watched bend his knees to look at the griffon, according to his memories he needed to smear his blood on its forehead and it would be done. The beast contract wasn't that complicated but it can only done once in a lifetime only death could void this contract. Leon didn't hesitate and cut his finger with his sword and smeared his blood on the griffon.

"From now on your name is Hermes."
