7 Route 1
"System, display Charmander's data."
[Scanning Charmander. Process Complete.]
A small transparent box appeared on Charmander's head. When I saw it, my face twisted.

"Well aren't you a monster..."
"Char?"
Unbelievable. Was this the system's doing? This Charmander is so unfair. 31 all round...
Now that I get a good look at it, Charmander's body looks very healthy, and his fangs are extremely sharp.
Not to mention the heat coming from his tail, it's almost unbearable.
What's with the 'Leader' nature though? Never heard of it.
[Answering Host. 'Leader' is an ability that increases a Pokemon's strongest stats without reducing any others. For Charmander, this ability increases his Attack and Special attack drastically.]
( A/N: For those who aren't aware, A normal Charmander with 31 in it's IVs for Atk and Sp.A will only have 11 and 12 respectively, Charmander's are 15. Here's the link to a really good explanation if you're new!: https://pokemondb.net/pokebase/21848/whats-the-difference-between-evs-and-ivs )
Whew. If I had this back on earth, I would have probably wreaked havoc on my friends.
Also, an egg move? And it's Dragon Dance to top it off... How lucky. (DD was introduced as a Charmander egg move in gen 7)
"Okay, now I'm ready. Let's get going."
I got up, and Charmander started walking joyfully next to me. It wasn't long before We saw the first wild Pokemon.
A couple of meters away, there was a Ratatta minding its own business. A box appeared in front of me, displaying its stats and moves.
Level five huh... that's on the high end.
Looking at Charmander, we both smiled.
" Charmander! Use Ember!"
"Char!"
With a low grunt, Charmander sped towards the purple mouse. It twisted its body and flicked its tail, propelling a large burst of vigorous flames towards it.
(A/N: Similar to this: https://cdn.bulbagarden.net/upload/thumb/9/94/Red_Charmander_Ember_PO.png/800px-Red_Charmander_Ember_PO.png )
The poor thing wasn't fast enough... and got roasted by the flames.
When the flames died out, Ratatta was still there, holding on. A green bar appeared on top of its head, quickly dropping to less than a quarter.
With a strong shout, it lunged itself towards Charmander and used tackle.
Using the strategy and accelerated thought process skills, I quickly calculated the best path to evade.
"Charmander, dodge to the left at a 30-degree angle!"
Nodding, Charmander timed the dodge perfectly, leaving unharmed, although the direction wasn't perfect.
The Rattata landed on the ground, injuring itself. With a confused look, it fainted.
Taking the opportunity, I retrieved a Pokeball from my waist bag and threw it. The Ratatta then disappeared, entering the ball.
After three shakes, stars appeared on top of the ball and Rattata was captured.
"Char!" With a smile, Charmander picked up the Pokeball and brought it to me. The Exp bar on its head increasing by a bit more than half.
I patted it on the head and released the small mouse.
It came out in a fainted state, so I retrieved a home-made remedy from my backpack. After smearing it on the burns, Ratatta was still unconscious but looked more comfortable.
"Alright, now for the scan."
I swiftly took out my Pokedex and scanned the Ratatta. A mechanical voice sounded from the tablet.
"Ratatta, the Mouse Pokemon. It bites anything when it attacks. Small and very quick, it's a common sight in many places."
The Pokedex then displayed it's size, weight and other useful facts. After reading them through, I put it back in it's Pokeball to let it rest.
"I'm sorry Ratatta, but you will only be of use for the Pokedex..."
[Hidden Requirements Met. Catch first Pokemon.
The host has unlocked the Pokemon storage ability.
This ability allows the Host to store Pokemon in a small, interdimensional Pocket with infinite storage space.
Pokemon inside will be placed in a recreation of their natural habitat so that they do not feel restricted.]
"Oh my, this is awesome. Now I don't have to feel bad when completing the dex!"
I took the Pokeball and activated the ability. Conveniently, the small space bracket opened up in my waist bag. It won't look weird that way.
Closing it, I opened the minimap and planned ahead.
Time to go.
------------------------------
A while later.
Charmander and I watched as the sun was setting on the horizon. We luckily found a relatively safe spot and made a small campfire, that be lit with his tail.
"Grumble..."
Heh, it looks like someone's hungry.
Charmander blushed and looked at me awkwardly. I laughed and retrieved my cooking materials.
"Don't worry friend, You have the best Pokemon cook in Kanto at your side!"
Charmander's eyes lit up like stars and watched me as I cooked his food. Usually, Pokemon prefer different foods according to their natures.
Charmander's increases attack and special attack, so I will make a mix of dry and spicy food for him.
(A/N: Most People don't know this, but in the games, Pokemon prefer certain berries based on their nature. I will take this concept on board.)
As soon as I was done, I put the food on a platter and placed it on the ground. Charmander smelled it, before shouting in extasy and digging in. It voraciously wolfed down the whole plate.
As soon as it was finished, it lied down and patted its stomach. How cute.
Well, now it's my turn. I made a simple salad and a cheese sandwich.
After a while in this world, I realized that there was no meat anywhere. After asking about it, I was told that due to excessive hunting by wild Pokemon, normal animals were mostly extinct. Only the richest had access to homegrown animals that could produce meat.
It was thus considered a rare delicacy.
Not that I care really, the plants in this world have enough vitamins to keep you going. Including protein.
Looking at my Pokedex, I had caught all of the pokemon in the area. With the aid of the database and the sensor skill that I developed, I quickly caught all seven different species.
These were: Ratatta, Raticate, Pidgey, Pidgeotto, Spearow and two Nidorans. One male and one female. These were all put into the spatial storage.
After all... I only had my eyes on specific, strong Pokemon.
Charmander had progressed well and won almost every battle with no injury. When we fought the female Nidoran though, it managed to poison Charmander.
I panicked but quickly applied my medicine. The effects rapidly disappeared, and Charmander was healthy again. I have to admit, I'm a good doctor.
Pidgeotto was also a tough one. With a surprise attack that was boosted by Dragon Dance, we managed to beat it.
Charmander was now level ten and hadn't learned any new moves so far.
The combination of Dragon Dance and Ember was just too brutal. I am proud.
Checking the map before going to sleep, I realized we were only a couple hours away from Viridian city.
Extinguishing the fire, I cuddled with Charmander and we fell asleep.
------------------------------
The next day, since I wasn't looking for any specific Pokemon, we arrived at Viridian city in a short two hours.
The city was the same as in origins. To be honest, it was more like a small town than a city.
(A/N: https://cdn.bulbagarden.net/upload/d/dd/Viridian_City_PO.png )
Making my way through the main road, I quickly reached the Pokemon center. It was huge and had four floors.
When I entered, Nurse Joy greeted me with a smile and accepted all of my Pokemon, including Charmander.
She then told me to sit in the waiting area for the time being, or head to the restaurant.
Feeling like having breakfast, I headed there. After ordering some simple food, I noticed a small commotion at one of the tables.
Many people were clustered around one person.
