177 The Commander Of The Dragonite
All her life, Emma had never imagined that she would live to see a giant battleship like The Dragonite. This ship was practically a hundred times the size of The Coralia. It was massive and intimidating!
Emma was initially hesitant to approach when she saw the ship. She pulled her hand away from Xion, who was holding it tightly as he dragged her to run outside The Coralia to find Therius.
"Stop right there!" A short-haired soldier in blue military uniform immediately intercepted them, followed by a group of soldiers in similar uniforms. He stood in front of Emma and Xion fiercely.
"We're going to see Therius. Can you please tell him we are looking for him?" said Emma. She did not know whether these soldiers knew Therius' secret, that he was actually Prince Licht, who disguised himself as Therius Moria, to come to Daneria. That was why she deliberately did not mention Therius' real name.
She also didn't want to use telemancy to make these soldiers give her way because she didn't want more and more people to find out she was a telemancer. She already understood that telemancers had a bad reputation in Akkadia.
"Therius?" The soldier narrowed his eyes dangerously. "There is no one with such a name here."
Xion and Emma looked at each other. They sighed in unison.
"Let's wait for him at The Coralia then," said Emma, ??pursing her lips. "He seems to be very busy. I also don't feel comfortable going inside this battleship since I'm not familiar with it."
She wanted to know what really happened and why Therius kept his plan to involve General Moria a secret from them, but she didn't want to provoke a fuss.
Xion shrugged. "All right. Maybe he's really busy. He should take care of his evil cousin issue and coordinate with General Moria. Now that his identity has been revealed, he can't just play with us anymore. Let's go!"
The two of them turned to leave from there, but the soldier who was initially blocking them suddenly?called them back.
"Sir, Lady ..." His voice now sounded respectful. He had heard them talking about Therius needing to coordinate with General Moria and was able to conclude that what they meant by Therius was actually Prince Licht. He was not dumb and immediately changed his attitude. "Would you like to see the Crown Prince? Are you Princess Emma Stardust and Sir Xion Draconi?"
Emma turned to Xion. This was the first time she heard Xion's full name. The young man beside her nodded with a bright smile.
"Yes. Is Prince Licht busy? If he's busy, we won't disturb him," said Xion. "We can come back."
The soldier was smiling now. He was happy because his guess was right, and earlier, he didn't make a fatal mistake by disrespecting Prince Licht's friends.
"His Highness is indeed very busy, but he ordered those of us on duty at the front to receive the two of you kindly and take you inside." He then raised his hand and motioned Emma and Xion to follow him in.
Emma and Xion walked into the giant ship, looking amazed. Even though they tried to appear relaxed and indifferent, their expressions couldn't lie.
Xion came from the mountains and was unfamiliar with the splendor of the capital or such massive battleships, while Emma came from Earth and never imagined that one day she would enter a battleship from an alien planet like this ship, let alone one with such class, The Dragonite.
"You can wait in the garden. Come with me. I will show you the way," said the soldier.
Emma nodded. She could barely breathe at the splendor of this ship. It was huge! She actually felt her legs were tired from walking. The corridor they were walking through looked like it had no end due to the ship's ridiculously big size. They walked halfway to the end and got into an elevator.
The soldier pressed a button and closed the elevator door. They climbed to the highest floor and walked again to follow the soldier. After passing through various large rooms and seemingly busy people, they arrived at a beautiful lounge.
Inside there was a gorgeous lush garden and a beautiful artificial waterfall. Emma immediately felt like she was in a beautiful Japanese garden that exuded zen and peace throughout.
Ahh ... this place was impressive.
"Please wait here," said the soldier respectfully. "The prince is having a meeting with General Moria. I will inform him that the two of you have arrived."
"Thank you."
Xion and Emma were like two country bumpkins who had never seen modern things. They immediately explored the small garden in the lounge with joy.
Oh ... The Coralia didn't have any garden!
This ship was totally in a different class; they both thought in unison.
The two of them crouched by the beautiful pool where the artificial waterfall flowed and dipped their hands to feel the water.
Ahh .. so fresh. They were instantly reminded of their adventures in Daneria before all this chaos happened.
"This place is so wonderful," said Emma. "It doesn't feel like we are on a spaceship. If we continued our journey on this ship, it must be more comfortable."
"If that's what you want, of course, I will be more than happy to grant it."
Suddenly, Therius' calm voice came from behind them, startling Emma. She and Xion immediately turned their heads around, and when they saw Therius, they got up to greet their friend.
"Can you please make some sound whenever you enter a room? Don't sneak up on people!" Emma scolded. "You almost gave me a heart attack!"
She was about to scold Therius further but immediately canceled her intention. An older man had come from behind Therius and now stood beside him. It was the impressive middle-aged man she had seen on the observation deck screen: General Moria.
Emma didn't want to act too casual in front of strangers, so she chose not to say anything. Therius noticed Emma's silence and nodded to the man next to him and introduced General Moria to Emma and Xion.
"General Moria, this is my best friend Xion Draconi, and this is ... my future wife, Emma Stardust."
Emma hiccupped at Therius' words, but she tried to stop herself from coughing and making General Moria suspicious. She had agreed to act as Therius' future wife for the next five years. She should keep her promise.
The esteemed general Moria nodded respectfully to Emma and Xion. Since he was the one being introduced to the two youths, and not the other way around, one could see who had a higher position on the ship's hierarchy.
"Your Highness," General Moria greeted Emma with a smile.
Somehow, even though he smiled, there seemed to be a tinge of sadness in his eyes when he saw Emma. That made the girl feel curious. Why was this General looking at her in such a way? Did she do something wrong?
Finally, Emma decided to read his mind.
Oh ...
Involuntarily, Emma moved one step back, her body staggering. Fortunately, Xion and Therius swiftly held her.
Tears slowly rolled down Emma's cheeks.
Her father used to be the commander of The Dragonite. After Kaoshin Stardust fled with Arreya and was later imprisoned for treason, General Moria was appointed to replace him being this ship's commander.
