Finding Stardust

178 In Your Dreams!

Emma closed her eyes to imagine her father whom she had not seen in over a dozen years. She could see how powerful and formidable General Moria was to command The Dragonite. So, she thought her father must have been like that too.

She could not imagine, how such a great general who was well respected and led tens of thousands of soldiers under him, was now reduced to a prisoner and could not even meet his wife and children. This is so unfair!

Emma felt outraged by the Akkadian king for separating her family like that. She was determined to avenge all the sufferings her father had endured.

You will see... I'll make you pay dearly what you've done to my father and my family...

I will make you all pay with interest.

She was so angry and vengeful.

"Are you okay?" asked Therius softly. He understood what Emma was thinking because he knew Emma could read General Moria's mind, while Xion could only guess what happened.

Emma shook her head and pushed Therius away from her.

"I need some air," said Emma. She walked away toward the mini waterfall and stood there pensive with her back to the men. Therius took a deep breath and turned towards General Moria.

"She is just feeling sad because she knows her father used to be the commander of The Dragonite," explained Therius. "I told her a lot about General Kaoshin Stardust. So when she saw this ship she immediately thought of him."

He deliberately made up a story to General Moria that he already told Emma that The Dragonite Ship was once led by her father. He didn't want General Moria to suspect that Emma could read minds.

After all, Emma was his future wife, and Therius didn't want people to know that Emma was a telemancer. That's why he decided to protect the girl's reputation.

General Moria nodded in understanding. He turned to Emma and looked at her back with a face filled with sympathy.

"Ah ... I hope General Stardust can be released soon and reunited with his family," General Moria said quietly. "He's been there for so long."

Therius nodded. "That's my plan too. We hope to get to Akkadia soon, hand Heron and his supporters over for punishment, then announce my engagement to Princess Emma."

General Moria smiled broadly. "Congratulations, Your Highness. I see that the two of you are very compatible."

"Thank you," said Therius with a beaming face.

They then decided to sit in the lounge to enjoy some wine and chat about their plans for returning to Akkadia while they waited for Emma to cool off.

Fifteen minutes later, Emma was over her feelings, and she returned to see them. The three men deliberately didn't ask her anything because they didn't want to upset her again.

Emma was grateful that they understood how she felt and tried to make her feel comfortable. Even so, she actually wished she was like Therius who could hide his feelings behind a flat expression, or like Xion who seemed to have never felt any worries in his life.

"Wine?" asked Therius, holding up a wine bottle and a glass.

Emma nodded. Today must have been a very special day for Therius that he wanted to have a drink with them. Ah, well... of course. They just escaped death, and at the same time, he caught his cousin in the act of treason so that he now had an excuse to kill Heron.

Of course, this is a good day. Good enough to celebrate with wine.

Emma nodded. "Just one glass."

After Therius poured wine for her and was about to add wine to his own glass, Emma hurriedly warned the prince. "Don't drink too much. Two glasses will make you drunk."

Xion and General Moria looked at each other at the girl's words. Both of them then smiled.

Ahh .. Princess Emma was very concerned about her future husband, they thought.

Therius' face slightly blushed when he heard Emma caution him and watch how much wine he drank. He felt that the girl was very attentive.

"Just a little more. After this, I will stop," said the man with a smile.

Emma just rolled her eyes at the three men's attitudes. She warned Therius about his wine intake, not because she cared about him. She just didn't want him to get drunk and confess his love to her again. That would be awkward.

Emma couldn't promise that next time she wouldn't slap Therius if the man decided to confess to her in front of other people. She was worried that it would uncover their act.

"Very well. We're leaving for Akkadia tomorrow. Today the crew will transfer all our belongings and people from The Coralia," Therius said.

"Haoran, Atila, Anddara, and Natan too, right?" asked Emma quickly.

Therius nodded. "The Dragonite has its own doctors, but I've asked General Moria to make a place for Atila and Doctor Salas because they are your personal doctors. He will send one of his doctors to The Coralia to replace Doctor Salas."

"Hmm ... great," Emma agreed. She did prefer Natan to take care of Haoran. She couldn't trust other doctors.

Natan had proven his loyalty today. He was willing to sacrifice his life when The Coralia was under the threat of being destroyed by the warship brought by Heron. Emma was very grateful to Natan and would continue to entrust Haoran to the doctor.

"Heron has been taken to the detention center on the ground floor. Will Your Highness want to see him later?" asked General Moria then.

"Maybe much later. We'll leave him locked up in there for a month to reflect on his crimes. I'll see him before we land on Akkadia," Therius replied. "What about his bodyguards?"

"Izia is still being treated at the clinic under strict security, and so is Mayn. After recovering, they will go to a special prison. When we arrive in Akkadia they will be transferred to the justice department."

"Very nice."

They chatted some more to discuss their plans to return home before, finally, General Moria excused himself to command his men. After the man left, Emma immediately hit Therius on the shoulder.

"Hey! Why did you hit me?" asked the man in surprise.

"That is for you because you purposely let me panic and fear. Does it make you happy to see me stressed and scared to death? I thought The Coralia ship will be destroyed by the enemy and everyone in it including Haoran will die!!" spat out the girl with rage "You KNEW that General Moria was coming with help, but you didn't tell me at all. Why did you do that??"

Therius was stunned. He touched his shoulder where Emma had hit him. The punch didn't hurt at all. Instead, he was happy that Emma touched him. He didn't mind getting hit by Emma again.

Therefore, he just shook his head and did not answer. This attitude made Emma very emotional and hit him on the shoulder again, and again, to vent her frustration, while Therius tried to sip his wine with an amused smile.

Xion, who saw that scene, shook his head. He poured wine back into his glass and drank it in big gulps.

These two are so noisy, he thought. He was happy to see Emma taking her anger out on Therius, but he didn't know Therius would be happy to be treated like that.

Was my best friend a masochist? he thought in amazement and rolled his eyes.

After a while, Therius suddenly caught Emma's hand that was raised and about to hit his shoulder again. He grabbed her hand and clasped it with his.

"Honey ... Please don't blame me. I honestly didn't know that General Moria would come," he replied in a soothing voice. Out of nowhere, suddenly, Therius wanted to call Emma 'Honey'. After all, didn't everyone on this ship know that Emma was his future wife? Of course, Therius and Emma had to look affectionate to dispel their suspicion, right?

Emma was stunned by Therius' words and attitude. She was about to pull her hand free but she couldn't. Therefore she could only purse her lips.

"What do you mean?" asked Emma, looking irritated. "How can you not know? Isn't General Moria loyal to you and he came here because you sent him a request for help?"

"No. General Moria is a great general, and he has many spies. He got information from his spies that Heron had moved to attack me secretly by deploying a battleship. That's why he immediately chased after them here. He intentionally waited a little bit before they appeared in the last moment because he wanted to catch Heron in the act. Otherwise, we wouldn't have had any evidence," Therius lied.

He didn't want to tell Emma that Xion was the one who saved them with his ability as the Time Master, by time traveling to the past. No one should know his friend's secret.

"Oh ..." Emma fell silent.

She stared at her hand that was now clasped by Therius' hand and suddenly she didn't know what to do.

"So ... you can't be mad at me," Therius said again. "I didn't let you panic and fear on purpose. I would never do that to you. I promise."

Therius was determined to always protect Emma and would not let her be afraid and sad about anything.

"Hmm .." Finally, Emma nodded awkwardly. "Then, let go of my hand."

Therius shook his head. "You are my future wife. Shouldn't we show affection in front of other people so that they don't suspect our relationship?"

Emma rolled her eyes and pulled her hand away with all her might. "In your dreams!"
