238 Therius!
Prince Darius looked at Xion intently and smiled. "Thank you."
"All right, Your Highness," Xion said.
He glanced at Emma and signaled for the girl to leave immediately before Darius noticed her face which was very similar to Arreya's. He then pretended to instruct Emma to call the servants in the servant quarter they had just left.
"Call the others in the quarter so they could also help find the prince."
'Meet me in the hall in half an hour.' said Emma to Xion using telemancy.
Now it was better if she avoided Prince Darius and the others who knew Arreya closely. If they got to see her at close range, they would see her resemblance to her mother.
Emma nodded when she heard Xion tell her to call the other servants. After she bowed down to Prince Darius, she immediately went back inside.
Her actions looked casual and not suspicious, so no one stopped her. Being a woman also helped. They tend to think female servants were harmless.
Emma walked hurriedly into the servant's quarter. As soon as she saw some servants inside the building, she sent them out to help find Prince Darius' nephew.
When the servants came to see Prince Darius and his entourage, Emma immediately looked for a place to hide and watch her surroundings.
Her chest throbbed as she leaned against the wall and calmed her nerves down. She now realized that it was so difficult to avoid being seen and talking to other people during time-traveling.
She did not expect to meet her father and Prince Darius immediately after she and Xion arrived in the past. She did not know how she could keep her composure if she met her mother.
It would be difficult to hide her feelings. Moreover, Arreya was a telemancer who could read minds. Emma would not be able to hide her identity if Arreya accidentally read her mind and found out who she was.
Emma peeked from behind the door and made sure Xion and the servants went with some guards toward several directions, while Prince Darius and his two bodyguards walked towards the ballroom where the party was held.
After making sure that no one was in the courtyard, Emma immediately went out through the door and walked to the ballroom.
'Please ... help me ... Help...'
Her brisk steps halted for a moment when she heard a faint cry coming from somewhere.
"Who's there?" Emma stood still and tried to listen carefully to find out where the voice came from.
'Help me ....'
Her heart pounded as she listened more attentively and realized that it was the voice of a boy. Is there a child having an accident near here? she wondered.
Was this the nephew that Prince Darius was looking for?
Which one was it? Therius ... Yared or Heron?
Emma was conflicting about whether she should find out the origin of the voice or kept going.
She had met all three men in the future. If she met one of them now and they still remembered her when they met her again in the future ... Emma was worried that her actions might change history.
Xion made it clear several times that they shouldn't do anything that might change the past since it would directly have an impact on their future. Who knows what would happen? They might even cease to exist if they made such a grave mistake.
She did not want to trouble Xion who was so good to her and took her to the past just so she could see her parents for the last time. Xion understood how heartbroken she was that she didn't get a chance to see her parents and said goodbye to them before their untimely passing.
'H-help...' The?voice now had become weaker.
"Where are you?" Emma finally asked. Her heart was in a mess. How could she let a child be in danger when she could help?
But... but.. how to avoid changing the future?
'Help me ...'
Emma's heart skipped a beat when suddenly she realized that the voice she had been hearing was not a human voice but ...
it was a distress call using telemancy, and the person asking for help was not around her. That's why he couldn't hear Emma's voice asking him where he was.
Her mind quickly worked. This was a telemancer in the palace.. and he was a boy.
Oh! This?must be Therius!
Aside from Arreya, Therius was the only telemancer in the royal palace that she knew of.
Oh...
Suddenly, she went into a panic. Therius should now be about 7 or 8 years old. Gosh.. he was still so young ... what happened to him?
Suddenly, all her worries, about the risk of changing the future, were gone. No matter what, she could not let anything bad happen to little Therius. Especially not when she was around. His life might be in danger...
When the choices were between a 'what if' and someone's life, Emma knew she had to choose life.
'Little brother, where are you? Tell me what you see around you,' Emma asked the boy again, this time using telemancy.
'Oh ... help me. I am in a warehouse... behind the main palace '
'The warehouse?'
Emma suddenly remembered the warehouse where she was detained by Queen Ygrit's men and was threatened under a swordpoint. Those bastards were forcing her mother to kill herself. She tried to forget about the incident and quickly walked toward the warehouse to save the boy.
'Wait for me. I will be there soon.'
Emma walked hurriedly towards the warehouse in question. She wished she could just fly there to arrive faster. However, she saw a few people walking towards her. So, she canceled her intention. She must not attract any attention.
'Hang in there,' Emma said repeatedly as she walked briskly closer and closer. When she finally saw the warehouse, she felt very relieved. Emma walked inside with careful steps.
"What do you want?!" Suddenly, from behind the door, a man in a servant's outfit came out. "You shouldn't be here!"
Emma was stunned for a moment when she heard him. The girl could immediately read this man's mind and knew he was not a servant.
'I have arrived. Are you surrounded by bad people?' Emma quickly asked the boy.
'Yes. They kidnapped me and wanted to kill me. They said they will blame Princess Arreya's people from Taeshi ...' said the boy slowly. He sounded weaker than before.
'Fuck,' Emma was so angry to hear that. When she suddenly remembered that the boy could hear her curse, she hurriedly added. 'Uhm ... sorry, you better forget what I said earlier.'
"Who are you?!!" Emma shouted at the man. "You are hiding the prince here! Who ordered you to do this?!"
The man looked very surprised because Emma immediately knew his cover. He raised his hand and was about to hit Emma, ??but the girl was quicker.
She had punched the man with all her might using her balled fist. Her hand was powered with a flash of lightning when she hit him. It gave the man the shock of his life when Emma's fist punched his chest.
"Aaaaakh ..." The man staggered back with a trembling body. He was shocked by the sudden attack. He never expected the girl dressed as a servant was apparently an electromancer. "Fuck! How dare you!"
Seeing the man staggered, Emma immediately stormed in and looked for Therius. 'Where are you?'
"H-here ..."
A weak voice of a boy came from the corner of the room. Emma immediately turned to the origin of the voice and went there. She was shocked to see an eight-year-old boy was tied down to a chair with both hands and feet bound with ropes. His face was full of bruises and blood.
Oh my god... who could be so heartless and torture a child so young? Emma felt so sad to see Therius in such a condition. She just wanted to come to him and hug the poor boy.
She was certain that this boy was definitely Therius. She could immediately recognize those pair of brilliant topaz eyes that looked so much like her own eyes. Little Therius looked frail and weak and inviting pity. For a moment Emma froze.
Her clear mind came back when she realized that on the left and right of the child there were two burly men guarding him. The four men now moved towards her. They all seemed ready to fight.
"You bastards! How dare you hit a little boy!!" Emma snapped at them. "You are not humans!!"
The girl quickly read their minds to find out who they were. She was shocked to know that these people were part of the rebel groups who wanted to hinder the marriage between Prince Darius and Princess Arreya.
They deliberately kidnapped Therius with the intention to kill him and later framed the people from Taeshi as the perpetrator.

From the author:
I have two announcements to make :).
1. SEQUEL
I cannot continue the sequel of this book in a separate book. I have exhausted my quota of 20 books in Webnovel and I cannot make a new book. I am writing in two languages, so I took my quota faster than most authors on this platform.
I think Webnovel never realized that someone could exhaust 20 books quota so quickly. I already reported this to them, but they still haven't made any upgrades so I cannot make a new book.
There was an empty book that I initially planned to use as the sequel, it already has the title "Queen Of Akkadia", but I now decided to keep it empty and use it for a future book with a new story if someday I have a new idea. Otherwise, next time I got a new story, I really won't have any more space to write it.
I cannot make new books using another account because readers won't see the books connected to me and I would lose a lot of readers who could come from different books. So... after this volume ends, I will continue Emma, Therius, and Xion's story in THIS SAME BOOK.
