291 The Two Princesses
Emma could only take a deep breath as she placed down her tablet on the table and stretched out on her bed. She did not think earlier that she would say the words "I love you" to her husband.
Was this a sign that she had fallen in love with Therius?
Come to think of it, this made a lot of sense. They had been together for quite a while. In a way, her relationship with Therius was the longest in her life. It was even longer than when she was with Haoran.
Therius also had a very good character, and he loved Emma very much. In short, he was the perfect man. Any woman would feel touched after being treated so lovingly for so long.
The girl smiled, imagining her husband's face.
Ahh .. maybe it's time for her to also confess her love to Therius?
Emma decided to tell her husband that she loved him too when they met next weekend.
After resting for a while, she then went downstairs to have lunch in the dining room. There, she met her classmates. The girls from another class seemed very jealous to hear that Emma and her classmates had managed to get into Marlowe's hut and hang out with him.
"Why didn't we go there too?" they complained together. "We could have met our sexy Beast Teacher."
"Sir Marlowe is very kind. He gave us cold drinks and chatted with us. He also introduced all his pets," said Miri with a broad smiling face. "Oh,?they are all so cute!"
Emma only coughed a little when she saw Miri's enthusiasm. She still remembered how one of Marlowe's pets wanted to bite the girls. They were not all that friendly to strangers. Not like how Miri described them, at least.
From the way Miri told the other girls, Marlowe seemed like a friendly zookeeper, and his pets were all cute koalas.

After lunch, they again gathered in the hall and listened to a briefing from the student council representatives. When Emma arrived with Miri, she saw Ulla waving at her.
"Come on, you girls come sit with me here. I've saved you seats," she chirped happily. The blue-haired girl immediately grabbed Emma's hand when the girl arrived near her.
"You look so excited. Is there anything fun going on?" asked Emma in surprise. She sat beside Ulla and looked around. She was looking to see if Bastian was in this hall.
Emma always felt uncomfortable knowing that there was someone around her who could read her mind. Even though she already threatened Bastian not to do it, she still didn't feel at ease.
This also made Emma try not to read other people's minds as much as possible, except in emergency situations or if it was absolutely necessary. She already knew how unpleasant it felt to have someone invade her mind. She felt mentally naked, and it felt so horrible.
She couldn't wait for Therius to come. Her husband would help her protect herself from the telemancers in this Academy.
"Jeez ... look who is here!" Miri's voice, uttered in a tone of shock, astonishing Emma.
"What is wrong?" asked Emma in surprise. "Is there anything the matter?"
"I've heard about the two princesses but only now I see them in person ..." Miri said enthusiastically. "Oh.. this is so exciting!"
"Princess, you say?" asked Emma in surprise.
"There are two princesses attending this Academy. One is famous for her beauty, and the other one is famous for her powers," Miri explained. "They always compete and had become mortal enemies since last year. The feud between them is already well known among the students in the Academy."
Emma didn't remember that the Akkadian royal family had any princesses who attended this Academy. As far as she knew, Therius only had male cousins ??who had magical powers. Their younger sisters were all ordinary people.
Which princesses was Miri referring to? Were they princesses from the other kingdoms? But if so, Emma must have seen them when they were hostages in Akkadia when their countries were still Akkadian's colonies.
"Sorry, I am not updated with such news. Which princess are you talking about?" Emma asked Miri to get confirmation.
"I was talking about those princesses," replied Miri.
The chubby girl pinched Emma's arm and tilted her chin towards the stage in front of them. That's when Emma saw two female students who were facing each other in an unfriendly manner.
Emma was used to being indifferent to her surroundings, so she did not pay attention to such things. Now, she took a good look at the two girls in front while listening to Miri's explanation.
"Princess Marci is the youngest sister of the current king of the Mireen kingdom. She is a third-year student, same as Bastian. She is known as the most gifted girl in her country. She was sent here to learn to control her powers. She is a special mage because she has two powers. You know how rare those multiple-element mages are. Well, since they both were the only multiple-element mage in the school, people often match her up with Bastian. Many people think they are perfect for each other.."
Ulla frowned and shook her head when she heard Miri's words. She obviously did not agree with Miri's opinion. "Uhm, Bastian is my cousin, so I know better. Bastian is not in a relationship with Princess Marci. They are just good friends."
Emma looked at the girl called Marci. Marci was a 22-year-old girl who had the beauty of a princess. Her appearance is very elegant and classy.
Her long black hair was fashioned into a practical bun on the top of her head. Her tanned skin looked so sexy. It was healthy and indicated her active lifestyle. Her clothes looked very expensive from a soft material. She seemed to love red in her outfit and made her look badass and dangerous.
This girl did look very impressive, and the fact that she was from a royal family made her look even more enchanting.
Emma just realized that apart from members of the Akkadian royal family, apparently, the nobles from other kingdoms did not cover up their identities at all.
She remembered that Therius didn't reveal his identity at all even seven years after he left the Academy. Even Aeron only found out Therius was the king after he was invited to perform at Therius birthday party at the royal palace.
So, this Marci was the youngest sister of the king of Mireen. No wonder Emma never saw her in Akkadia as one of the hostage princesses.
Apparently, the one sent to Akkadia was the present king's daughter or Marci's niece.
The child was still young. She was only 12 years old and had been sent back to Mireen a few months ago. Therius had liberated all Akkadian colonies and sent all the hostages back to their respective countries to show Akkkadia's goodwill in establishing an equal relationship from now on.
Alright .. apparently the Academy had some royal family members from the neighboring kingdoms.
Emma hoped that she wouldn't have to bump into them while she was studying here.
She did not want to risk conflict between countries if she and those princes or princesses from the neighboring kingdoms got into trouble.
Uff, Emma never cared about anyone else before. She only focused on herself and did not interfere with other people's affairs.
If people were having a feud in the Academy, she didn't want to know, and she refused to get involved. As long as they left her alone, she would happily ignore everything.
"Apparently, the gossip is true. Princesses from Terren are all beautiful," whispered Ulla. She took Emma's arm. "I support Bastian to date Princess Ylsa of Terren. They will make a great couple."
"What does that have to do with you?" asked Emma in surprise. "Who will Bastian date is his own business, not yours."
"Ahh .. you," Ulla pursed her lips. "Of course it's my business because he's my cousin. I'll come to his wedding, and their children will become my nephews and nieces. I don't like it if Bastian married Princess Marci of Mireen. She is so arrogant."
Emma only rolled her eyes at Ulla's words. She then turned her gaze forward to the left. The girl who was standing opposite Marci now had sat down gracefully on a chair.
A fan decorated with blue bird feathers was moving up and down to fan her pretty face. What was impressive was that no one was holding the fan. It was moving on its own, like magic.
Ah, apparently, Ylsa could control objects. Was she an aeromancer? Emma was stunned for a moment when she took a good look at Ylsa's face. The Terren princess looked somewhat familiar.
Was this girl Yldwyn's sister? Their faces were very similar, but Ylsa was much prettier than Yldwyn. She had long, wavy blue hair that flowed beautifully down to her waist.
Her face was petite with a beautiful nose and a pair of big round eyes. They were bright blue, like two diamonds. Her clothes were gorgeous and screamed her status as a princess.
"Princess Ylsa is famous for her beauty in all of Akkadia. Many people say, her sister deliberately did everything she could to prevent Ylsa from being sent to Akkadia as a hostage princess because she didn't want our crown prince, who is now our king, to fall in love with Ylsa," whispered Ulla. She had this distinguished tone whenever she started to gossip. "I think the gossip is true. Which men wouldn't fall in love with Princess Ylsa? Never mind men, I am a woman, but even I want to marry her. Look at how beautiful she is!"
Emma smiled faintly at Ulla's words. Ulla was indeed very artificial and shallow. She valued physical appearance over personality and other non-physical things.
If Emma had to choose between Princess Marci and Princess Ylsa, she would choose Marci because the girl looked smart and classy, even though she could come across as arrogant.
However, maybe Emma was biased. After what Queen Ygrit and Princess Yldywn had done to her family, Emma seemed to have a special hatred for the royal family of Terren.
