104 Haoran Lee From Lee Industries
"Another boyfriend?" Haoran turned to Emma and looked at her with amusement. "Do you have another boyfriend?"
'Gosh, Emma ... so Allan still has a crush on you? I thought he's already dating Bianca?'
'I have no idea. Clearly, he saw us at the airport last week, but he didn't see your face. So, he guessed the person I was with was not you,' Emma shook her head when she read Haoran's thought and replied to him.
"Jeez... I don't have time for two boyfriends," Emma grumbled, glaring at Haoran when she heard Haoran jokingly asked if she had two boyfriends. She then advanced and stood right in front of Allan. "You said I have another boyfriend other than Haoran? What is the proof?"
Allan, who did not expect Emma to confront him, stuttered. "I-I... saw you at the airport, getting inside a luxury car. My father recognized the license plate. He said it was the Lee family's car, the owner of Lee Industries."
"What? So that's why you thought Emma was cheating? Just because your poor eyesight couldn't see the guy she was with?" Haoran asked in astonishment.
"Emma, ??I understand that you're dating a rich man because of his wealth, but that doesn't mean you don't respect your boyfriend by having an affair with Haoran. My father works for Lee Industries, he will definitely feel bad for Young Master Lee if he knows I know you cheated and didn't tell him," Allan said again.
"Wait... what? What does this have to do with the Lee Industries? Just because your father works there? How strange ..." Haoran grumbled.
He knew this didn't make sense and Allan was only looking for excuses to justify his actions.
Haoran was intelligent and already understood what was happening now. Actually, this problem could be handled easily if he just revealed to the people around them that he was actually the young master of the Lee family.
But the problem was, he had hidden the information about his family and wealth for years from his school mates. Now, just because of this incident, he was forced to expose himself??
He really felt annoyed.
However, if he didn't do it, Emma's reputation would suffer. She seemed so happy about the prom and the fact that she and Haoran were nominated as Prom King and Queen.
"Didn't you see my boyfriend's face at the airport?" Emma asked Allan patiently. She was still trying to reason with Allan and Bianca.
"No," said Allan. "But my father recognized the Lee family's license plate on the car."
Haoran rolled his eyes. It was too dumb, he thought.
He couldn't take it anymore and finally blurted his response. "Allan, my name is Haoran Maximillian Lee. My father is the owner of Lee Industries. Last week, Emma and I just went back from Switzerland after attending the SpaceLab conference."
He was agitated because he had to disclose his identity in front of many people. However, he felt there was no other choice.
If he had said nothing, Emma's reputation would be tainted, and her school friends would think she was really too timing him. He would never let anyone do that to his wife.
The people who stood around them suddenly became shocked. They looked at Haoran with baffled expressions.
"I ... it's impossible," Allan said in a stuttering voice. "You can't be the Lee family's only son."
Haoran raised an eyebrow and pulled out his cellphone. "Your father works for Lee Industries, huh? Is his name Charles Wu?"
He opened his cellphone and scrolled through the list of names in his contacts. After finding the name Charles Wu, he then pressed the call button.
"Director Wu, it's me. Sorry, there is nothing urgent. I just want to say that I met your son at my high school dance," Haoran said casually. He then handed his cellphone into Allan's hand. "Try to listen, is it your father's voice or not?"
With hesitation, Allan put Haoran's cellphone in his ear. "Yes?"
"Hey, Allan. You are meeting Young Master Haoran Lee at school? You have to show your respect to him. He is my future boss," Allan's father said firmly. "What are you two doing now?"
Allan's face turned pale. "Father?"
Instantly St. Catherine High School students who surrounded them exchanged glances.
"What? Haoran is the son of Lee Industries' owner? That is crazy!"
"My house is filled with products made by Lee Industries."
"Why does he look so normal? He doesn't even drive his own car to school like most of the other rich boys."
"Geez ... it is really unexpected. Even though Haoran was the young master from Singapore's wealthiest family, but his attitude is very normal and he is actually quite humble. Gosh ... Haoran is so cool!!"
"He really deserves to be the Prom King."
"That's right. He also inspired me to upgrade my grades when he moved from class F into Class A. He can change and drastically improve his grades. I feel like I can also improve myself..."
One by one, voices of praise from the students of St. Catherine for Haoran began to be heard around them. Many people were surprised to learn that the young man who had a reputation as a troublemaker turned out to be the son of a really wealthy family.
Haoran managed to deceive his school friends for three years, into thinking that he was from an ordinary family. Some students who were standing near Eric immediately touched his shoulders and asked for confirmation.
"Hey, you're Haoran's close friend, right? Is he really the young master from Lee family of Lee Industries?"
Eric just shrugged. "He already said so."
"Gosh ... wow! Totally unexpected." They looked like their minds blown.
Meanwhile, Allan looked devastated. He really didn't think his father would confirm that, in fact, Haoran, his rival, the man who managed to get Emma's love, was the son of his father's employer.
This was so embarrassing.
He felt ashamed of himself for overestimating his worth. He assumed that because Emma's boyfriend was rich, it must mean he was lacking physically.
As it turned out, the son of Lee Industries's owner was completely different from what he thought. The young man was actually Haoran himself. He was not only handsome but also quite intelligent.
The only reason Haoran repeated the second year twice was that he intentionally left his exam answers blank. Haoran took his phone from Allan's hand and shook his head. What a nuisance, he thought.
Emma could only sigh. She regretted that Haoran was forced to reveal his true identity to save her reputation. The girl knew Haoran did not like flaunting around his family name.
"Allan, I think it's now clear that you have misunderstood us. I hope you can tell Bianca that she was wrong about me and apologize." Emma turned her head toward Bianca and narrowed her eyes when she saw the girl was wearing a very pretty hairpin in her head. It was the same hairpin that Allan wanted to gift her. She then turned back to Allan. "I told you that it would be better to give the hairpin to another girl or even your mother. It looks nice on Bianca."
She then pulled Haoran's hand towards the drink table, leaving Bianca gaping and then turning to face Allan.
"How does she know about this hairpin? Did you buy it for another girl?" Bianca's voice rose, demanding an explanation. Her face looked flushed red with anger and shame.
