105 The Unexpected Guests
No one knew for sure what happened between Bianca and Allan after the commotion, but it was clear that Bianca pulled a hairpin from her hair and threw it at her boyfriend, then she ran out of the hall, crying. Sandra had stopped broadcasting live with her cellphone to social media and ran after her best friend.
"Jeez ... did you see them? What do you think happened to Bianca?" Nadya asked Mary, who was standing beside her. The girl with glasses only shrugged.
"I don't know. Maybe they are having a fight?" Mary asked back.
"Yes, but why did she have to throw the hairpin at him?"
"Maybe she was angry because Emma said that the hairpin should be given to another girl. Now, that other girl she referred to might be Bianca. So ..." Mary narrowed her eyes as she drew a conclusion.
Both of them looked at each other with expressions of shock.
"But how did Emma know about the hairpin?" Nadya asked again. She actually had her own assumption. But ... was her assumption correct?
"It looks like... Allan had actually wanted to give the hairpin to Emma, ??but Emma refused. She told him to give it to another girl."?Mary finally said what actually was in Nadya's heart too.
She also now thought that Allan actually had a crush on Emma and wanted to gift her that hairpin, but she didn't want to accept it. So, he ended up giving it to Bianca.
How embarrassing!
"Gosh ... it sounds complicated."
They both stared at Allan, who was standing in the middle of the hall with a flat face. He didn't look depressed because Bianca was angry and left him just like that.
It seemed he actually felt more embarrassed because he had wrongly accused Emma and Haoran. Moreover, the incident was witnessed by so many people and even broadcasted live on social media.
He also didn't try to run after Bianca out of the hall. Allan was standing rooted in his spot, and he seemed to need some time to calm down and wrap his head around what had happened to understand the impact.
He remembered his father's words that Haoran, or Young Master Lee, would be his father's future boss after he had taken over the family business from his father's hands. That's why his father had asked him to treat Haoran with respect.
Suddenly there was a feeling of uneasiness pressing in on his chest. What if Haoran held a grudge against him and made things difficult for his father at the business?
He could not let that happen.
Finally, Allan turned around and walked over toward Haoran and Emma. They were standing next to the beverage section and enjoying fruit punch in their hands.
"Young Master Lee ..." Allan courteously greeted Haoran. He held back his ego and pride and bowed slightly. "I apologize for my mistake and for defaming Miss Emma Stardust. I hope Young Master will forgive me."
Haoran and Emma looked at each other when they saw Allan's actions. Both of them had no idea that Allan would come to them and apologize like this.
Actually, Haoran was still upset because he was forced to reveal his identity due to Allan's actions. However, he was not a bad person who held a grudge and was unwilling to forgive others' mistakes. Even though he rolled his eyes, he still nodded.
"Very well. Since you have apologized, I will forget this incident," Haoran said.
Allan then faced Emma and looked at her earnestly. "Emma, ??I'm very sorry. I've let my pettiness take over. From now on, I will never bother you again ..."
Emma just nodded and didn't respond to his words. The young man seemed to want to say something else, but then the MC appeared on stage and greeted all the audience.
"Come on!! Give it up for The Atmosphere!!! That was an amazing performance, don't you think? Do you all like it?" he asked eagerly.
"Yessssss... !!!" the audience screamed excitedly.
"Okay ... soon, we will announce the candidates for the prom king and queen titles! But first, we will enjoy the next performance from The Atmosphere, which will feature their latest song ..."
The stage soon became dark, and The Atmosphere band returned to perform another routine. This time, they performed a ballad.
It was a romantic song and was the newest hit from their latest album. The band had two vocalists, one guy and one girl, who wore matching outfits.
The man was mixed, half-white and half-Asian with a handsome face and long hair down to his shoulders. He looked so cool with a thin white shirt and ripped jeans. Both his wrists were wrapped with black ribbons. He wore black boots similar to what the female vocalist was wearing and both looked cool and edgy.
The female vocalist was a beautiful Asian woman with her hair fashioned into a bun on each side of her head. She wore a futuristic-looking sleeveless top, a red leather miniskirt, and the same black boots as her partner's. Her voice sounded beautiful as she closed his eyes and sang the song about first love.
"Want to dance with me?" Haoran whispered to Emma's ear. The girl smiled and nodded. The two put their glasses down on the table and walked hand in hand towards the front of the stage.
Other couples had done the same thing and soon the front part of the stage was filled with couples slow-dancing. The atmosphere felt so solemn and romantic.
Haoran hugged Emma's waist while the girl wrapped her arms around Haoran's neck. They looked at each other and smiled. Both of their faces were filled with happiness.
"You know ... I feel bad because I didn't give you a proper wedding," Haoran said suddenly.
Emma looked at Haoran attentively. "Why did you feel that way?"
"All girls must want a beautiful wedding that they could cherish and remember for a lifetime. A wedding should be beautiful, festive... grand," Haoran said. "I'm sorry I couldn't give that to you."
Emma chuckled at Haoran's words. "Well, I don't think any modern girls would ever dream of getting married at the age of 18 ... But we do what we need to do. In my opinion, what we have is very beautiful and I will remember it forever with a happy feeling. Especially because your mother was there with us to share that moment... "
"Hmm ... okay. So, someday, after we meet your parents ... we can remarry and have a real wedding ... something fit for a princess," Haoran said.
He felt Emma was so precious, and she deserved more. Unfortunately, even though he was wealthy, he could not give it to Emma now.
"I don't need anything else, Haoran," Emma whispered. "You are enough for me ..."
Haoran looked at Emma, and immediately his chest was filled with warmth. He pulled Emma closer and hugged her very tightly. It was almost as if he was afraid he would lose her if he didn't hold Emma tightly.
Meanwhile, the situation at the hall entrance suddenly turned exciting. A round of whispers quickly spread among St. Catherine's students who attended the prom, and one by one, their heads turned toward that direction.
"Isn't that Cedric? Who is he coming with?"
"Oh my God... I think I'm going to go blind !! It's too much ... !!!"
"Who are they? I've never seen anyone so handsome..."
"Wowww.... who are these new dudes? I've never seen them around. Are they from another school?"
"They look older. Maybe they are university students?"
"Who are they to Cedric??"
The whispers were especially loud among the girls who had seen Cedric Singh, one of the top students from Class A entered the hall. He was wearing an expensive black tuxedo and walked with two very handsome young men on his right and left.
"Cedric! You come to the prom too. Why so late?" blurted Nadya, who walked toward him with other girls tagging along on her either side. The girls all looked very excited.
Since they knew Nadya was in the same class as Cedric, they immediately pushed her to approach the young man. They hoped she could look for an opportunity to find out who the two handsome men were.
"Well, I actually came here at 7 pm, but ..." Cedric looked a little confused. He then turned to the two handsome young men next to him. "I think I met my cousins outside??, and they said they wanted to come along. So I brought them in."
The girls exchanged astonished looks.
"Your cousins? From which side of the family? Aren't your father and mother both Indians? How can you be related to someone with white hair and blue eyes like this guy?" Nadya asked curiously.
She looked at Therius in adoration. Even though her friends said that Allan, Haoran, or other young men were handsome, for Nadya, they had nothing compared to the two men who had just arrived. Especially the one with platinum-colored hair and blue topaz eyes.
Hmm.. if he claimed to be Emma's cousin, that was actually more believable.
Cedric looked confused when faced with Nadya's question. He wanted to ask his 'cousins' why their skin and hair color was different from his, but the two men had walked toward the center of the hall.
One was walking lazily with light steps, while the other one looked commanding, walking with his straight back and deadpan expression.
His body was taller than everyone in the hall, so his head could be seen moving forward as he walked through the crowd of people dancing.
The people he passed automatically moved aside as if they were clearing him a?path to walk through.
His steps halted when he arrived in the center, and in front of him was a young couple who were slow-dancing, very much into each other.
They didn't seem to notice their surrounding, just the two of them. Their faces were filled with smiles and love. People could see how much they were happy and in love.
"I will always be with you," Haoran said solemnly. He had loosened his arms from Emma, and now they were staring at each other at a very close range.
"Thank you," Emma whispered. She leaned forward and kissed Haoran on the lips tenderly.
Time suddenly seemed to stop. Haoran and Emma were kissing, without realizing that the crowd around them had been split apart. In the middle, there was a handsome young man who stood tall, watching them with an expressionless face.

From the author:
I would like to kindly announce something (most people don't really read the author's note in the box, so I figured, it will get more attention here).
I have decided to put "Ashes Of Gods" (my new novel to join the Spirity contest) on a long hiatus, because it's quite taxing to write. The story is dark and heavy, and I don't have the energy or good mental state to write it at the moment. I really want to give it justice by giving it my best. That's why I made this hard decision.
I am sorry for those who already read it and even voted power stones to it. I apologize for getting you invested in the story and now asked you to wait until I could pick it up again.
However, I have decided to create a new book for the Spirity contest. It's not really a new story, but a sequel to my first novel "The Alchemists". I have decided to move Volume 4 of the book to a new title, called "The Prince & The Lost Heiress".
The ML in the book is Ren Hanenberg, you might have known the guy earlier in Finding Stardust.
So, by end of July, consider yourself getting mass releases for 6 consecutive days. Yeay!!!
As usual, you are welcome to close the book as the last volume ends and move on, or you can continue the adventure with the new title "The Prince & The Lost Heiress".
Below is the (temporary) synopsis:
THE PRINCE & THE LOST HEIRESS
She was taken away from her doting parents and lead a desperately lonely life in a quiet village, not knowing who she was. There, she met the prince who came to give her family.... or so she thought.
She was the sun that shone over his darkness, the flowers that bloomed in his spring, the only woman he would ever love... if only he could.
This is the story of the prince who cannot fall in love and the lost heiress.
