5 Chapter Five: The Son of a God
Blood. It was the only thing that could sate the beast that had awakened in me.
On autopilot, my body floats to the air, the demons now cowering before me. As I ascend, a bright light forms around me, and Benson takes a protective stance in front of Emiya.
I can feel the change my body is going through. Scales begin to grow through my skin, as my nails now sharpen. The room around me becomes more vivid as strange marks in my eyes shifts the field of my vision to nearly everything in the room. I could even see mana, the very nature of life itself as it flowed around me.
I felt empowered, I felt invincible.
"Get behind me milady."
Emiya obliges, as shock etched itself on her face.
"I can't believe it," she states in awe.
"Your reign of terror is over. You have taken everything from me, and now I will burn you into oblivion."
As the words left my mouth, like clockwork, the light got brighter until the demons were consumed by the essence of my being, their bodies bursting into flames, flowers blossoming in their place. The room changed instantly. Trees begin to take root, the ashes that once belonged to the demons now replaced by a heavenly forest in my home. Plants of all variety stood at attention, as if waiting for me to give a command, cocooning my parents dismantled bodies from my anger, like hands protecting a small child.
I look over, tears falling down my cheek, watching silently as plants and flowers bloom around Kana's body, comforting her into the afterlife.
"Thank you."
Those were the last words Kana's soul spoke to me, before she disappeared into a heavenly light, her soul now free to rest with her brother.
My body begins to descend to the ground in defeat, Emiya walking towards me. Sympathy graces her presence as she approaches me.
"What just happened?"
The feeling of confusion and loss overwhelms me. My best friends, and my parents, gone from me in the blink of an eye. I didn't think it was possible to feel so empty in my life, and all within twenty four hours of my birthday. Was I cursed?
"I know that you are confused. You have lost a lot. But we've lost more than you can imagine. I will tell you this, you will make a great master, Son of Kano."
