The handsome young man in front of Zhu Xuan and Bai Ling asked with an arrogant tone "Are you Shikong Shen?"

Zhu Xuan ignored him and turned towards Bai Ling on his side. He noticed that her smile disappeared and she had an annoyed look on her face when she saw this man. He realised this group of people were here because of her. He asked her "Who are these people Bai Ling?"

Before she could reply, the young man shouted angrily at Zhu Xuan "How dare you ignore this young master?"

Bai Ling couldn't stay silent and rebuked him angrily "Bai Shuo, stop with the nonsense. What are you doing here?"

She turned to Zhu Xuan and said "Young master Shen; he is Bai Shuo, second grandson of our clan's Grand Elder. He always acts arrogantly, please don't bother with him."

Bai Shuo got angry when he saw how Bai Ling is acting towards the young man. He heard about this young man from one of Bai Ling's friend, about how he travelled with her from Snowcape Demon Mountain and how she seemed interested in him. So, when he heard today that she is meeting him in the Bai clan restaurant, he immediately came here to embarrass him in front of Bai Ling.

He didn't show his frustration, and with a smile on his face he said "Sister Ling, forgive me. I heard you are meeting a friend who saved you in the Mountain. So I came to meet him."

From the way he was acting hostile towards him and fawning over Bai Ling, Zhu Xuan understood this Bai Shuo person liked Bai Ling.

Then Bai Shuo turned towards Zhu Xuan and said "Brother Shen, I heard you rescued Sister Ling and I thank you for saving her." Zhu Xuan simply nodded in reply calmly.

Bai Shuo continued "I have heard you are very strong from my clan members, May I have the chance to spar with you Brother Shen?"

Zhu Xuan frowned, he realised what this Bai Shuo was up to but he didn't care about it. He had to go to Qinglu treasures pavilion and then need to go rest, so he simply said "Not interested."

Bai Shuo's smile disappeared and he said with a sarcastic tone "Brother Shen, I only want to have a friendly spar with you. I will go easy on you; you don't have to worry about getting injured."

Zhu Xuan felt annoyed by this guy and replied impatiently "I have work to do, you can go have a friendly spar with someone else."

Bai Shuo's voice turned cold "Looks like you saving Sister Ling was just luck and not even worth much if you are not even willing to spar with me."

Bai Ling couldn't control herself anymore and angrily shouted "Bai Shuo mind your words. Get lost from here and don't disturb us. Let's go Young master Shen."

Bai Shuo was angered even more when Bai Ling scolded him. He ignored her and shouted angrily "Looks like you only know how to hide behind a woman. I didn't expect you to be such a coward."

Zhu Xuan's eyes turned cold. He didn't like anyone calling him coward because of an unforgettable incident that happened on Earth. He looked at Bai Shuo and spoke with a cold voice "If it's a fight you want, you got one."

Bai Ling wanted to stop Zhu Xuan but looking at his cold eyes, she stopped herself.

Bai Shuo gave a satirical laugh and said "Heh, look like you have some guts. Let's go to the training grounds. No one will"

Zhu Xuan cut him off and spoke "I have work to do and I don't have time to go wherever that training ground is and waste my time on an idiot like you. Let's fight here and get it over with fast."

Bai Shuo was angered by his words and shouted "You are looking to die" and charged towards him with a sword on his hand.

As soon as he released his Qi, Zhu Xuan found Bai Shuo is at tenth stage of body purification stage, but he was not bothered by it. With his current strength of Eighth stage, he can fight on equal with Bai Shuo.

He formed fireballs and threw it at him. Bai Shuo didn't even bother to dodge it. He formed a blue layer around him and the fireball extinguished when it touched the blue layer. He slashed with his sword and a swift blue light came towards Zhu Xuan's face.

Zhu Xuan dodged it completely but the blue light suddenly changed direction slightly and left a small cut on his cheek. Zhu Xuan realised Bai Shuo has water elemental root, and he also practised a flexible sword technique like he was planning to practice.

Bai Shuo laughed at Zhu Xuan and said "You are only eighth stage and you have fire elemental root, there is no way you can win against me with my water element root. Obediently accept your death." Of the five elements, fire element was subdued by water element and moreover he is stronger than Zhu Xuan, this gave confidence to him.

As he was speaking, he attacked with his sword again. Zhu Xuan utilised wind Qi and increased his speed a bit and dodged. Even though he hasn't learned any techniques, he can still use Wind Qi around him without others noticing and increase his speed a bit. But he also understood he is at a disadvantage because he only has one offensive technique whereas Bai Shuo has more than one technique and they also looked like high tier techniques.

He dodger another slash from the sword and moved closer to Bai Shuo, he formed Blazing flame fist and hit his chest. But Bai Shuo moved away like flowing river water moving and gained a distance between them. Zhu Xuan thought "He is also practising water element movement technique. This got even more troublesome."

When he was thinking how to defeat Bai Shuo, he had a spark in his mind and a thought came up to him. If he can utilise the wind elements in the atmosphere to move faster even without practising, it is possible to utilise other elements too. He made a plan and threw a fire Qi spear and a fireball at the approaching Bai Shuo, the spear straight at him and the fireball to his left side. At the same time, he utilised his earth elemental Qi through the ground and formed a small hole on the right side of Bai Shuo. He also moved fast towards the hole while using his earth element to form it.

Bai Shuo saw the spear and the fireball and got startled, and he instinctively dodged towards his right avoiding the spear. But, he got tripped from the hole and fell down. And at the exact same moment, Zhu Xuan arrived in front of him and pounded with blazing flame fist at his chest without giving him a chance to get up. After few hits, the blue layer shattered and he got another hit in his chest and spouted blood from his mouth and lost all his strength.

Zhu Xuan's plan worked perfectly. He only used fireball since the start of the fight. So when he used Fire Qi spear, it startled Bai Shuo and instinctively wanted to avoid when he saw a new style of attack. And even though it was only a fireball which won't do any damage that was coming towards his left side, he moved to the right to avoid everything in his flustered state and even he failed to notice the small hole on his right side, tripped and fell down which resulted in his defeat.

Zhu Xuan didn't stop once he defeated Bai Shuo; he lifted Bai Shuo's left hand and broke it with his fists. Bai Shuo screamed loudly in pain. When the other seven from his group saw this, they unsheathed their weapon to surround and attack Zhu Xuan.

Zhu Xuan formed a Fire Qi sword and put it on Bai Shuo's neck and looked up at the approaching group coldly. They immediately stopped and backed off afraid that this madman will kill Bai Shuo. Zhu Xuan had an apathetic look on his face when he took Bai Shuo's other hand and broke it too.

Everyone surrounding the Bai clan restaurant watching this fight felt scared at the brutal act of this young man. Even Bai Ling got scared of seeing Zhu Xuan brutality. She remembered even when he fought and killed the demon beasts and Cai Guo back in the mountain; he wasn't like this acting without any emotion and cruel.

Zhu Xuan lifted Bai Shuo and said coldly "Cultivation level and Elemental roots doesn't decide everything in a fight. Next time you cross me; your head won't stay in your body." Bai Shuo shuddered when he heard the cold tone and the apathetic look on Zhu Xuan's face. Even though he felt angered and in a lot of pain, he kept silent. He was afraid if he made any sound, this madman will kill him without heasitation.

Zhu Xuan threw Bai Shuo at his group like he was garbage, and turned around and walked towards the direction of Inner wall. After taking few steps, he stopped, turned around towards Bai Shuo and said "Don't annoy and disturb Bai Ling anymore". He then turned towards Bai Ling and said "Let's go."

Bai Ling looked at Bai Shuo who was in a miserable state and had a complicated feeling. She sighed, turned around and followed Zhu Xuan.
