31 Setting Sails!
Farsian sprinted through the hallways and Joelle was hot on his heels, together they ran towards where the rooms of the others were. When they reached the room of the maid that was coincidential the first they passed along the way, they saw that the door was allready opened. Farsian thought that it would have been wiser for them to all sleep in the same room, that way he could protect every property of his. He could still not trust this vampire covenant completly and needed a fail save in case something did go wrong. As soon as he went inside a very peculiar sight appeared before his eyes. All the women that were traveling with him were all there, and all they wore was some simple underwear. It was a nice view for Farsian, he stayed where he was and gazed at all these beautifull mountainpeaks that appeared before him.
"Hey Farsian what are you looking at, is he there?" Joelle asked as she came around the corner. She could allready see the open door but not what was inside. Farsian reacted very quickly and closed the door, pretending he hadn't seen anything at all. When Joelle was about to open the door and have a look inside he assured her that the assassin wasn't inside and that the girl was peacefully sleeping. Somehow he managed to convince Joelle and the two of them ran down the hallway together, but they still couldn't find any trace of this unknown person not even after they had searched the whole house. Joelle believed that the assassin couldn't have gone far and decided to go and take a look around, Farsian should stay at the inn and wait for her return. If the assassin really had targeted Farsian he would still be in danger, thats why she wouldn't allow him to leave now.
Farsian obviously couldn't argue with her and instead decided to stay for the night.
The next morning a messenger was standing outside of his door, that messenger had an emblem with him that indicated that he was from the vampire covenant. The message was clear, Farsian should come to the isle and enlist as an official member of the covenant. Joelle was very happy for him and even Farsian was at least glad to leave this place rather sooner than later. Farsian and Joelle made their way to the docks where a special ship was allready waiting for them. When they got there Farsian discovered that he wasn't the only one that was accepted this time, there were at least a dozen other vampires together with him that were waiting to board the ship.
When the messenger saw Farsians expression he explained that he had been the last to be selected, it was an honor to be selected at all so he shouldn't make such a face right now. He also said some useless stuff such as to only speak to an elder if he explicitly asked you to and such boring stuff, but Farsian allready didn't listen anymore. All he cared about was that special existence of supreme power that he had seen on the map in the inn. If he ever met such an existence in battle he wouldn't even count as a maggot in comparison, having such a person as an ally would be of great benefit to Farsian. Especially after he made an enemy of another such existence. A power level of over one thousand was something that was extreemely high, there weren't many such beings around anymore. It was said that there were once more of them but now there are only so much of them left.
Farsian looked around to see if there were any known faces in the crowd of people, as was espected there were none that he knew of. But he did discover some kind of familiarity with some of them even though he never saw them before and doesen't know them. Joelle saw his puzzled expression and was kind enough to explain to him why they all seemed so familiar to him. Because she allso didn't know them she could only guess, but she allready underwent basic training in the isle of mern and thus could make sense of these weird feelings. Apparently most of them were part of the catastrope that took place at the city back then. They had been born to cause disaster and spread chaos in the city but somehow managed to escape this mayhem alive. When Farsian heard this he was rather shocked, who could survive this hell alive? He was there personally so he could tell that it wasn't something simple to do, if he was in their shoes he would propably be hard pressed to escape this endless slaughter alive. But the biggest problem of all was that if he could tell them apart based on their bloodline then they could also do the same with him, it wouldn't take long before people realized what he had done!
"Do you have a plan in case something leaks out?" Farsian asked Joelle, who also looked at the small crowd in front of them with a stern expression.
"No, I was actually hoping you had something in mind." Joelle said with a shoulder shrug.
"Enough with that chit chat time to move on board!" The messenger reminded from a slight distance away, he was allready half way up the boat and ready to leave.
Joelle and Farsian both went to the boat and watched in the distance where an isle should be behind the horrizon.
"Hey my name is Mello nice to meet you!" A guy in shorts and a blue jacked came over to them when the ship set sails.
"Hi?" Farsian said as he looked at this stranger that was giving him an especially weird feeling.
"What is your name?" Mello asked as he stood there in front of Farsian.
"Call me Farsian, what can I do for you?" Farsian said as he looked for Joelle who had gone somewhere else. He was hoping that she could save him from this awkward situation.
"Actually we're setting up a group of vampires that are related to the catastrophe up in the north, you know what I mean right? I can feel it when I look at you." Mello said as a matter of factly.
"So you want me to join you?" Farsian said with a frown, he was trying to stay clear from such people to not be associated with it all.
"Yes we do! It's allways better to have someone that you can rely on right? We all share the same experiences in that group so how about we group up together?" Mello was trying very hard to persuade Farsian, he could feel the power that Farsian was emitting.
"And if I don't want to?"Farsian asked.
"Then you can naturally leave the group whenever you want, there will be no restrictions at all. Why not join us? You can leave any time you want, really!" Mello firmly nodded his head repeatedly to demonstrate his earnesty.
"All right count me in if you have to, but don't expect anything from me!" Farsian said as he thought about it. If he was together with them he would vanish in the crowd, no one would suspect him to be the master mind behind it all. If some people still had grudges from back then, then he would deal with them when the time came. Anyways such people couldn't be stong and if they were strong then why would they care about it after things have calmed down somewhat?
"Thats fantastic, come I will introduce you to the rest on the ship!" Mello said as he prepared to lead Farsian around the ship.
"Wait! I don't have time for that now my friend went somewhere and I need to search for her now." Farsian said as he went the opposite side.
After that Farsian still decided that he really couldn't hang out with them and chat, after all he hadn't actually made the same experiences as they did. If they found out about him having different experiences than they had, they would surely become suspicious.
He went to his room where he entered a state of slumber for the rest of the trip to the isle.
But something unexpected happened as they were allmost there, this event woke Farsian up who had slept about 2 weeks allready. As he woke up he could hear bussy voices from outside his cabin, clearly they were the sailors that were supposed to bring them safely to the isle.
"Damn why is there a sea beast all of a sudden?! Nobody told me that it would be here at this time of the year!" One of the sailors lamented about his bad luck.
"Shut up and get ready! If we don't ready the cannons we might as well sleep with the fishes!" The other one shouted as they both went past Farsians cabin.
"You really overslept this time." A feminine voice sounded next to Farsian as he woke up.
"Joelle what are you doing here?" Farsian asked as he saw who it was.
"Nothing I was just sleeping like you were, don't tell me I can't be with you?" Joelle asked with a sweet smile. She was wearing some casual clothing that were too large for her size giving Farsian much to see.
"Alright as you were awake earlier than me you surely know what is happening right now, tell me all you know." Farsian said as he prepared to get on deck to go and take a look at what is happening out there.
"I'm not sure but it seems we are being attacked by some kind of sea monster that wants to eat us all." Joelle said with a shoulder shrug.
Farsian didn't know why she was so calm so he hurried with his preparations.
"Why are you so calm?!" Farsian asked as he pulled up his pants and attached a dagger at each side.
"Why shouldn't I? That messenger was of the covenant, he surely is capable enough to deal with the dangers along the way there." Joelle replied very casual as she also started to get changed.
Joelle nimbly went up from the bed and slowly undressed, starting from her oversized shirt. Her curveious body was revealed making Farsian sweat somewhat, he could feel her influence on him as his heart started going faster and faster. Sure enough after she unbuttoned her white shirt it fell down on the floor leaving her defenceless to Farsians eyes. After that she slowly opened her pants giving Farsian a coquettish smile, Farsian could feel that something was growing betwen his legs.
"I'm going upstairs to check on the situation." He hurriedly said as he left the room. As he opened the door and went outside he could get a last glimpse at her slender white legs and her decorated black panties, if he didn't have enough willpower he might have allready attacked her!
On the deck Farsian could see countless sailors running about and loading all the canons on deck, it wasn't a war ship so there weren't any under deck. Some sailors were cowering on the floor vowing to their god that if they survived this they would become a better man and so on. It would be amusing if it wasn't such a dire situation. He looked around to search for the messenger but couldn't find him anywhere.
"READY, FIRE!!!" Someone could be heard shouting.
*BOOM!
Countless cannon shots could be heard, it was an ear splitting sound. After that a wail of some kind of monstrosity could be heard in the distance.
"By god what have we done! That beast isn't even injured it's just more angry than before!" A sailor that was on the lookout shouted down from above.
When Farsian looked in the distance where the shots landed he could barely see the giant creature!
It was some sort of giant snake that kept wriggling as it slowly came closer to the ship.
"A Leviathan!" A sailor shouted as he could see the creature that came closer to them.
"Nooo!" Other sailors succumbed to their misery and just broke down on the floor. They weren't any military sailors or something else that was considered to have undergone harsh training, they were simple sailors that had no combat experience. They only got the job because there was no other ship at docks in the moment, but now they cursed their bad luck as they were doomed to die today.
As the giant sea serpent came closer and closer, Farsian could allready see its giant jaw. The snake was big enough to swallow the ship whole if it wanted to. All home seemed to be lost as a sole shadow appeared on deck, nobody noticed this figure but the serpent started to change its pattern and started to go faster and faster.
"Foolisch snake do you not know your place?!" The man said as he raised his arm high.
Farsian also noticed the change in behavior and turned around to look at what had changed on the ship, he soon saw the messenger on deck that was previously not there.
The messenger slowly raised his arm, a dark bloody glow was emitting from it. The Leviathan seemed to notice something amiss and stopped about a kilometre away from the ship.
But it was allready to late! With an earsplitting sound a red ray of light shot out from the messenger and landed on the sea serpent.
*SCREACH!
A horrifying scream echoed in the air as the leviathan was hit by this red light, you could see it age at a visible pace soon there would only be bones left! When the ray of light hit the monster small red particles seemed to bounce off of it, these small particles seemed to have a live of their own as they made their way back to the messenger to supply him with the life energy that they had harvested.
As the beast wailed in agony it slowly retreated as it wasn't able to move very fast since it was still drained of its energy. Soon it vanished under the water and escaped behind the horrizon.
"Return to your dutys and hurry up, we are allready pretty late!" The messenger said as he turned around and went back under deck.
With that the sailors seemed to snap out of it. Countless dazed sailors went back to their work, they propably wouldn't be able to forget what happened today for the rest of their lifes.
