Chapter 119 - Waiting for the Right Chance
Chapter 119 Waiting for the Right Chance
Eliza looked at Jocelyn angrily.
Her emerald eyes were wide open like a little kitten that wouldn’t hurt anyone. If Jocelyn said anything she didn’t like to hear from her mouth, she would pounce on her and give her a vicious bite.
Jocelyn’s heart warmed at Eliza’s reaction. Her mouth was even sweeter, as if she had just eaten a piece of candy.
She pulled Eliza to her side.
“I’m not a saint. They did such a terrible thing to me. How can I forgive them? It’s just not the time to take revenge.”
“Not the time?” Eliza’s voice rose. She looked at Jocelyn with anger.
“Don’t tell me you want to wait and keep on putting up with them.”
Eliza broke free from Jocelyn and questioned.
“You always said that you wanted to wait, but look at what happened in the end? Every time, you would forget about it. How long exactly do you want to wait? How long?”
“Sometimes I really don’t understand you, Jocelyn. You make me confused. Sometimes I think you’re very weak, but you act very brave. But when I think you should be brave, you retreat into your shell and become a snail.”
Eliza was so angry that her mind was buzzing.
“In the past, i said nothing because the conflicts weren’t so serious. But this time, after what they’ve done to ruin your life, you still want to put up with them. What are you even thinking about?”
“If you’re still like before, saying that you want to wait for a chance, but in fact, you’ll forget about it again, we can’t be friends anymore. This time, I’m not joking with you. I’m serious.”
Eliza’s face darkened as she looked at Jocelyn seriously. She was trying to make her stance clear to Jocelyn.
“I know you’re worried about me and I know you’re concerned about me, but I have my reasons, Eliza.” A bitter expression appeared on Jocelyn’s face.
“You’re a person who dares to love and hate. You never wait. Sometimes, I’m very envious of you. I want to be like you, but there are too many things I have to consider.” “It’s different between the two of us. You have the love of your family. You’re not afraid of wrong things, but I can’t. I have to make sure that I won’t do anything wrong. I have to make sure that I can continue school and graduate without a hitch.”
“There are too many things I want to care about. Revenge is a luxury for the current me. I don’t have so much energy and effort on this matter. Compared to that, I need to spend more time on my career. Only when I’m financially independent can I have the ability to compete with the Wilson family.”
“Revenge is not the most important thing to me now. Do you understand what I mean?”. said the Jocelyn emphatically.
The look in her eyes made Eliza shut her mouth. At the same time, her excitement gradually calmed down.
“Alright, I admit that you have a point. But if you don’t resolve this matter as soon as possible, it will be like a thorn that stabs into my heart. I won’t be able to rest easy and let you return to that horrible family again,” Eliza said.
“I know what you mean. Don’t worry, it won’t take too long. I swear that in two months at most, when I get the graduation certificate, I will avenge myself.”
However, what Jocelyn said wasn’t enough to persuade Eliza.
But even if she didn’t believe Jocelyn, what could she do? She had to show her support.
“If you need help, just come to me,” Eliza said, rolling her eyes.
“Don’t worry, I will.” Knowing that she had angered Eliza, Jocelyn hugged her arm fawningly.
Eliza touched Jocelyn and felt her cold body temperature. She hastened to say, “Your body is so cold. Hurry up and bundle yourself up. I’ll wait for you outside.”
As Eliza spoke, she walked out of Jocelyn’s room.
At Wilson’s house.
Maria was in a terrible mood when Luke said that the clothes she was wearing were ugly and that her meticulous dress was a joke. She screamed crazily and almost smashed everything in the living room.
“How can he do this to me! He’s just a small assistant. What right does he have to say such things to me? Mother, I can’t take this lying down. You have to stand up for me. You have to make that man pay for what he said.”
Maria took Mrs. Wilson’s hand and begged her in a high-pitched voice.
