Su Jun appeared beside Cao Ru and the silver wolf cub. He pulled back his arm and clenched his fist. But before he could punch, the silver wolf cub disappeared and both his and Cao Ru's eyes widened in shock, 'Where did it go?' They both thought and turned their heads, looking around and searching for it.

A growl sounded and they both turned their heads in the direction of the sound. They saw Duan Xi standing not too far away from them with a silver wolf cub in her hands, which fervently turned its head and growled every few seconds while baring its teeth.

Cao Ru's mouth in addition to his eyes widened in shock, "A goddess!" he mumbled and his eyes lit up. It was the first time, he saw such a beautiful girl.

Su Jun moved his head to Cao Ru and nodded, 'She sure is,' he moved his head back to Duan Xi, 'But why did she take that silver wolf cub into her hands? I doubt I would have killed it, as she did say that magical beasts are faster, stronger and tougher than cultivators of the same cultivation level.'

Duan Xi looked down at Cao Ru, "Where did this silver wolf cub come from?" she said with an indifferent expression on her face.

Cao Ru stood up from the ground, picked up and sheathed his sword and dusted off his clothes. He smiled widely and gave a small bow, "I thank the goddess for giving me a hand. As for your question, I have put this silver wolf cub to sleep and was going to dawn city to sell it to the magical beast tamer guild. But who would have thought that it would suddenly wake up," he shook his head as he finished speaking.

Su Jun turned his head to Cao Ru and frowned, 'Does that mean he took this silver wolf cub from its den? That's disgusting.. but wait—what about the parents? And aren't wolves supposed to move in packs?'

Duan Xi frowned, "Where did you take it from?" She said with clear anger in her voice. She was not happy with what she heard.

Cao Ru tilted his head in confusion, "Why does it matter?" he pulled out a piece of paper with some writing on it from his clothes, "Hold it still for me, I will put it to sleep. And after that, let's get to know each other, over tea perhaps?" he smiled widely.

Su Jun eyebrows furrowed, 'That pisses me off..'

Cao Ru took a step towards Duan Xi with a wide smile on his face. But before he could take another, he suddenly collapsed onto the ground and started coughing blood.

'What happened? Why did he collapse and cough out blood? Did Duan Xi do something?' he moved his eyes to Duan Xi.

"Where did you take it from and I won't ask again," Duan Xi coldly said.

Cao Ru coughed out the last mouthful of blood and looked up. He was met with Duan Xi's cold eyes. His face paled and fear appeared in his eyes. He didn't need to inject Qi into his eyes to know that he was dealing with someone that far exceeded him in strength. He gulped down his saliva and pointed his finger in a direction. His finger shook as he hastily said, "I found it there! In the depths of the forest, there is a cave! The cub was in the cave! It's the truth, please don't kill me!"

"Scram!"

Cao Ru nodded three times in quick succession, stood up and ran away as fast as he could, 'I will tell my father about this! Even if you are rank 2 or 3 martial core cultivator, you won't get away with this!'

'I have to bring the cub back before its parents find out that it's missing. If they do, they will go on a rampage and if that happens only my oldest brother, my father or one of the core elders will be able to stop them.' Duan Xi turned her head to Su Jun, "I am going to bring that cub back to its den. You go ahead without me." She turned around and before Su Jun could say anything disappeared without a trace.

Su Jun's pupils constricted, 'She is gone.. why did she leave in such a rush?... She is rank 8 martial core cultivator, I am sure she will be fine.' He shook his head and turned in the direction of the magical wolves and walked off. Walking for twenty more minutes, he entered a forest and immediately saw a black wolf that was slightly bigger than a normal wolf.

'Let's see, I want to be able to buy at least ten 10% Qi restoration pills. I need at least 30 contribution points. One magical wolf core gives 2 contribution points, I need to collect at least 15 cores. Let's get as many as possible.'

Su Jun activated his movement skill swift crane and moved. He appeared by the magical wolf and before the magical wolf could even react, he punched.

Su Jun's fist collided with the magical wolf and even though he launched a sneak attack, the one to lose out wasn't the magical wolf but him. He was pushed back.

'What?' Su Jun widened his eyes in surprise and the narrowed them, 'My strength is enough to contend against a martial skill that is used by a cultivator of my cultivation base but I guess it's not enough against a magical beast that has a higher cultivation base than I do. Let's try again but this time with a skill!"

The wolf glared at Su Jun. It raised its head into the sky and howled. But Su Jun didn't wait for it to finish howling, he moved in without using a movement skill and punched, shouting, "Tiger's Punch!"

*BAM!*

The punch collided with the howling magical wolf. But unlike before when Su Jun was pushed back, the one to be pushed back this time was the magical wolf. And even though it was pushed back, it didn't suffer any real damage.

Su Jun narrowed his eyes once more, 'It's still too weak! I need to use an even stronger skill!'

The wolf growled angrily. It wasn't happy that it was attacked during mid-howl and leapt at Su Jun. He formed a fist but then released it as he realised that the wolf was already atop of him and he needed to dodge. He without waiting for anything activated the skill swift crane and sidestepped, making the magical wolf bite into nothing but air. 'Now is my chance!' he formed a fist and since was the wolf was in punching range, he punched, shouting, "Whirling dragon punch!"

The punch collided with the magical wolf. Its face distorted and it let out a loud yelp. It flew through the air and a message floated up in Su Jun's head.
