Mystic Pharaoh

25 Ch. 25 - Young Savage

On the other side of the AP Dorms, at the private martial fields

Antonio Bazaar was locked in combat with three thugs. The thugs were wearing all black clothes with black masks on. All four of them were wielding weapons with strange symbols carved in them, releasing a strange and mystic glow. One of the thugs had nun-chucks and the other two were wielding sabers, while Tony was wielding a pole arm and fending of their attacks.

"Ice Spear!" runes condensed in the air and flew into the nun-chucks that straightened out manifesting a thin icy spear that shot towards Tony's back, but it passed through him as he vanished like smoke.

"Fire slash!" another thug caught up and was slashing down with his saber covered in flame ki. Tony used his pole arm to parry the blow but received some burns on his hands and arms due to the fire force.

Although Tony was clearly disadvantaged, he was managing to hold his own some how. Every time one of the thugs thought they landed a critical hit, Tony would burst into shadows, appearing again several meters away. Unfortunately, and mainly because there were three opponents, it was all Tony could do to escape their heavier attacks. He was already wounded and he was still taking damage.

"Nil Blade!" Tony gathered dark ki into his palm and used it to slash out a thin beam of darkness power aimed at the approached saber attack, successfully repelling it. However, the opponents kept attacking him relentlessly! At this point Tony felt like a spent force.

It was also becoming more difficult for him to use his mystic skills, his mystic energy was rapidly being consumed.

"Now!" The thug with the nunchucks slid into a low kick, suddenly knocking Tony off his feet. At the same time the two saber wielding thugs rushed over and slashed down with a momentum that terrified the still falling Tony. Tony desperately condensed his mystic strength into his forearms and covered his face, then used his mystic ki to form a protective barrier around his abdomen.

He was ready to receive big damage! However, he was destined to luck out this time.

"Collapsing Wave Fist!"

"BALEFUL FANG!"

Bang! Boom!

The thugs wielding sabers each received an attack to the face and flew back 10 meters before colliding into each other tragically. One of the sabers landed in the leg of a thug, causing him to let out a tragic scream.

"AH, MOTHER FUCKER! Number 3 get them, get them! Argh...number 3? Hey, Benny?"

The thug looked behind Tony and immediately turned incomparably pale, like he had witnessed something frightening.

Tony let out a sigh of relief the moment he heard Capital and Bravo's voices. Man, was it nice to have strong friends or what?

"Hey Tony, your a little greedy after joining AP right? Three on one? Share some of the funk!" Capital Blacc smacked his lips as his muscles bulged and he sent a series of aggressive kicks at the uninjured thug. Cracking and crunching sounds were heard as Capital successfully broke this thug's bones as well.

"Heh, I'm not so crazy as this, no? Had you two taken any longer there may have never been an Antonio Bazaar the IV in the future.." said Tony grimly. That was a seriously close call earlier. After all, those sabers were real mystic artifacts! He would have been heavily injured, even if he didn't die! He might have even of been crippled!

"You okay, bud?" Bravo Frenzy placed his large and heavy hand on Tony's shoulder, causing him to wince in pain.

"I'm fine, my friend," said Tony with gratitude in his voice. However, Tony suddenly became vigilant as he realized he didn't see the thug with the nun-chucks. However, he heard a voice behind him that irritated him as much as it eased his worries.

"Only two? What am I, invisible?" Casino Riot was sitting on the comically extended bum of the thug with nun-chucks, nun-chucks which were now tied around his neck, as Maggie stood behind Casino rubbing his shoulders. The thug's head was currently brutally buried in the earth.

"How can you be so carefree, Lucky?? Don't you know these assholes were sneaking on to the campus just to eliminate you and Bravo?!" explained Antonio Bazaar anxiously while sneering as Casino, "Their taking orders from that recent upstart, Young Savage!

"No one knows what this guy Young Savage looks like, but his 30 man squad has been making waves in the city. They've challenged every independent dojo in the city, establishing dominance through their performance. They say their looking for the remnants of the mayor's faction, but in my opinion this is just a pretense for them to act rampantly."

"Young Savage, huh?" Casino Riot pondered to himself as he rose from his flesh seat and kicked the thug out of the ground to send him crashing into the other two, leaving all three of them in a sorry state. Casino urged some primal ki and looked like a spirit serpent while displaying a smooth and rapid movement skill, appearing next the three thugs in nearly an instant, as he begin ransacking their belongings.

"Lucky, be more refined!" chided Margot Frenzy. However, after Casino threw a bag full of gold and silver plutonian coins to her, she was silent as her eyes sparkled. She busied herself with counting this new shopping money.

"Pfft." Casino just laughed at her, as he picked up the two sabers and pair of nun-chucks. These articles were mystic artifacts! He would never let them go since these jerks had delivered them to their doorstep. He placed the nun-chucks at his belt, and threw a saber to Capital before placing the other at his hip, "To the victor go the spoils. Had we arrived a bit later what would have happened to Tony? If we had been a little weaker what would have happened to Bravo and I? We deserve these items."

However, right after his words finished Casino picked up on the strangest and most uncomfortable feeling with his psyche perception, as if he was being stared at by a venomous snake. He immediately turned vigilant as the eye of Horus tattoo appeared on his glabella.

To Casino's shock is psyche perception seemed to evolve at that moment, becoming sharper and more powerful. He could feel that he was now able to release spirit power in thicker waves. He faintly felt something awakening within himself, but his attention was suddenly drawn to the top of a building 80 meters away.

Spirit power filled his eyes and he was able to see a trail of mystic origin leading to the glowing purple eyes of a bespectacled young man with spiked hair and freckles. The young man looked incomparably shocked once Casino looked in his direction, as he had even had what he considered the misconception that this boy was staring him in the eyes.

At least he thought this way until he felt a searing pain in his eyes and an even more horrible pain originating from his spirit bridge.

Meanwhile, Casino Riot sent his psyche to cover the martial field in a thin layer of spirit power, and the young man on the roof let out a grunt of pain and coughed out blood, as his magic spell was suddenly and forcefully cut off. Casino then took out a talisman paper out of his shirt pocket and injected primal mystic ki into it, causing it to ignite and manifest a blue rune that shot into the distance.

"Bastard!" cursed the young man with spiked hair, "Who the hell is that punk? How did he disrupt my [Twilight Vision] spell?"

"Lucky, is there someone here? Tell us what's up?" asked Bravo Frenzy upon noticing Casino's stern and concentrated face, and suspicious actions.

"On top of the student government building to the west! It's probably that dog butt Young Savage or whatever." sneered Casino with clear disdain in his voice. "Hmph, Bravo he's looking for us right? Let's go and see why!"

"All I needed was a where!" shouted Bravo Frenzy eagerly. He shot toward the distant building as his blood begin to boil. Bravo's green eyes turned feral as his muscles bulged and a baleful ki begin to leak from his body. His speed nearly doubled and he was rapidly pulling away from Casino and the gang.

"Sorry guys, we'll meet you there!" Casino Riot couldn't allow himself to be too outdone. His competitive spirit awakened his dormant bloodline which begin to boil uncontrollably!

Surfing Killer Moccasin Step!

Casino executed his movement skill and caught up with Bravo in no time, before surpassing him easily.

Meanwhile..

In the center of the grand river that was running peacefully through the center of the entire academy, was a large and majestic tower. This building was the Guru Lodge, where the Principal and two Vice principals all lived and worked. It also served as a trial space and reward for exceptional students. This building housed a special mystical array formation that dramatically increased the amount of pure origin produced in the tower.

The Guru Lodge had 9 floors, each more terrifying than the last due to the original pressure. At this moment, on the eighth level within a large quarter decorated as an office, sat outrageously beautiful woman. She say elegantly behind a huge desk full of paperwork, geological references, and student profiles. She wore a veil to disguise her magnificence, revealing only her phoenix like eyes.

However, how do you ruin the splendor of a goddess? It simply could not be done. All the veil served to do was make one fantasize even more deeply about that tall and voluptuous body.

Seating in front of the desk were a man and a woman, while there were another man and woman respectively standing behind the first two. While the couple seated in front of them seemed calm and composed, the couple in the rear wore stoic faces, as if just standing there possessed a certain level of difficulty.

If Casino was here he would recognize the man and woman who stood to be the two Deans of Thoth Academy, Magus Fierce Storm and Magus Fair-weather. Seated in front of them were the two vice principals, of whom they were direct subordinates.

The man was none other then Vice-Principal Caesar Calm.

As for the woman, her name was equally famous in the academy as she was also the treasurer, this was the graceful and lithe Vice-Principal Windsor Swift.

As for the amazing woman seated behind the desk, she was none other than the principal of Thoth Academy, Guru Majestic Nature!

With two deans barely able to withstand the pressure of the eighth floor, it could be imagined how difficult it was for students to climb this tower.

"These punks are growing more and more rampant. Could the rumors be true? Have they finally found a backer stronger then the Royale Family?" asked Majestic Nature in his song like melodious voice. Through the veil her face appeared to wear a pleasant and beautiful smile, however her eyes were completely emotionless.

"Reporting to Guru," Caesar Calm didn't hesitate to reply, "This indeed seems to be the case. We've intercepted three of their supply caravans, and they've even begin to use origin-mobiles instead of carriages. This Royale Family's heritage is not that deep, honored Guru."

"Origin-mobiles?" Majestic Nature was a little surprised, but it didn't show on her face at all. Merely, how could she not be surprised? Once the Magi Era begin many people stopped using automobiles, as fosstilfuels became a thing of the past. Due to the evolved mystic beasts, carriages pulled by domesticated beasts were faster than most cars anyway.

That was until the invention of Origin-mobiles! Cars that functioned with original energy as their power source. These expensive ass machines were only extravagant luxuries of the rich, who would waste precious ether on a machine over their own strength? Only the rich.

As Majestic Nature was raised in a humble background, she was baffled by such useless things.

"Maybe we're looking at this all wrong..is Mary Silver's goal really to replace the Graham Family as the judicial clan of The Twelve? This just seems like a very dangerous game to play." stated Majestic Nature sagely.

"If I may, honored guru," said Magus Fair-weather suddenly.

"Speak if you must speak, my dear, what is it?" said Guru Majestic Nature, slightly impatient.

"Mary Silver may be rather intelligent, but she isn't a strategist on the level of finessing a contract with an origin-mobile dealer, not even one on the underground circuits." Magus Fair-weather spoke calmly with certainty in her tone, "There is no way that her goal is as she truly claims, even if she herself believes it to be so. This little Magus believes that she is being used. Controlled by an outside party, this new backer."

"What evidence do you have to support this claim?" scoffed the usually amiable Grand Magus of the academy, Caesar Calm. He seemed very touchy about this matter. "Without evidence we cannot convince the police council to move The Twelve and end the cease-fire."

"The evidence is her son, James Mercury. He had been in contact with a spy from Acadia for the last two years. At first he was far sloppier than he is now, this is the reason we've been able to keep tabs on them. It was only yesterday we discovered what city the spy's faction originated from," answered Grand Magus Windsor Swift with a smile on her face, "It is only after discussing things with James that his mother decided to start attacking dojos. The boy is clearly not intelligent enough to come up with this scheme with an unknown goal..this should be what the spy instructed him to do."

"This matter must be further considered. James Mercury is our student from the time he was a child, we cannot be biased against him," declared Guru Majestic, "As for this so-called Young Savage problem.."

However, before Guru Majestic could finish, a icy blue rune zoomed through he window and stopped in front of her face, before bursting into a cloud of azure light that entered Majestic Nature's glabella. Her expression changed from shock and concern, to worry and confusion, and then to rage and apprehension all in less a few seconds.

"Fierce Storm, there is a rat in your academy. These snake bastards finally wormed their way through our defenses. They are truly working with outside forces, no technology int he city is capable of bypassing my barrier. Their target this time is none other than my direct-student! I want these intruders to be standing before me in the next hour."

"Yes, Guru!"
