31 Just a bad dream III
"That sure looks bad." Yang commented as he saw Yin's nude arm.
He was surprised that he hadn't noticed it on her before, but it must have been because of him avoiding to look at her while she was less clothed.
"It is a sting from a scorpion." Yin concluded tiredly as she rested her head against the wall.
She wanted to close her eyes, but was afraid of falling into a nightmare again. Although towards the end, she was freed from Him and instead landed on a beautiful meadow with a singing Vocal Bird. The weird thing was that it had a manly yet smooth voice, which didn't match its appearance.
"Are you sure? I thought that scorpions are deadly. Shouldn't you be dead by now if it was true?" Yang was sceptic and questioned mindlessly. He then realized what he said and quickly added quietly.
"Not that I wish you dead."
This sentence wasn't registered by the Ice God, since she was feeling unwell. Her senses were a bit dull at the moment.
"Different species have different poisons in their tail with varied levels of deadliness." She explained.
"Oh, that sounds reasonable." Yang admitted and scratched his head in embarrassment.
Why couldn't he even have thought of something simple as that? He truly needed to pick up his studies.
"How much water do we have left?" She asked after a moment of silence.
"Less than two bags." The Fire God answered after having invented their belongings.
Yin sighed and locked her eyes with his. Now that she thought of it, his copper-red eyes were actually quite beautiful.
How come she hadn't realized it in the past? Was it because of her strong dislike of the colour red? Still, his eyes weren't anything like the deep red she despised.
"Finding water is the top priority. Instead of wasting your time over me, you should utilize it on something fruitful. Unfortunately, I doubt that I have the energy to assist you."
Yang wanted to say that she wasn't a waste of time, but he didn't dare to. He also had no idea why he thought so.
Was it because of his growing dependence on her and her brilliance in everything? He nodded to himself as he concluded that it must have been the reason.
"If our water has run out or if I am delirious because of this fever, don't hesitate to kill me."
