Primordial Remnants

9 Shameless Princess

Anila prepared herself to leave the Night Pearl Place but she became astonished by the unexpected action of the princess.

She saw her kowtow in front of her. Anila shook her head and thought 'It seems she is ignoring everything the deity said to her'

"I Sumia the Protector of the Night Pearl and daughter of the Dominion Queen requests the esteemed senior's sincerity. Please grant this little one a chance to serve the senior as a disciple and teach me the right ways of the technique you used to get within the dominion"

Anila had a helpless look on her face for a moment. Her helpless look turned in a playful smile.

"Little fishy, shameless you are, very shameless. If you acknowledge me as your master are you not ignoring the advice from your elder and how shameless of you asking your master to teach you a specific technique."

The princess froze from fright. She realized the excellent lady before her actually had the ability to overhear telepathy of a deity. She became surer of her shameless action. She knew this beautiful woman is more powerful than ever thought.

"Senior please excuse the rudeness of this young one. The first day she woke up from hibernation she addressed me as her elder sister so I am actually her senior."

Anila became amused from the shamelessness "You actually tricked a deity who had yet to awaken her memory into calling you elder sister. You have no idea about the deity stones. Next time surely remember to keep that rune on the center of your forehead."

"Master is most wise and I am nothing but a discarded failure unlike my sisters"

Anila thought about her situation and she made up her mind. She had no plan to tangle anyone in her problem or be tangled into someone else's.

She didn't wish to disappoint the cute and bubbly eyes of little Sumia, but there was no other way.

"I can't take any disciple now."

Sumia maintained her stubborn face, and she looked at her like a helpless puppy. She had water run down her face.

"Little fish you should listen to your elders. I would take you as my disciple but not anyone can learn my skills as you would need a long set of special requirements. If you still not convinced and think I am laying the listen, the least you would need water type bloodline, water nature qi, water magic attribute and preferably contract with water type spirits."

Anila thought that outright rejecting her would her give her the wrong message so she listed the long list of requirements so she gets the wrong impression that she is looking for a specific kind of disciple.

"Praise the sea deity for his blessing. This must work with fate as he had blessed me with all requirements."

All the mermaid and merman repeated after her "Praise the sea deity."

Anila wanted to cry, but she already had an ocean full of salt water around her. 'Fuck'

She couldn't believe what just happened.

An old mermaid within the court was most passionate as she started a sermon. "The Lord said not to lose hope and good thing will eventually come to us. The Lord has blessed us with kindness right after we experienced the horror of that cursed monster. Now repeat after me, praise the Lord, all glory to the mighty Sea lord. Our beautiful princess had attracted the blessing of his holiness. May she destroy the evil and relight this darkened world. Let us all wish her a healthy life, a happy life, and prosperous life."

"Something is wrong."

Tiny lesser water spirits somehow manifested themselves and were running away from something. The whole dominion shook for a breath of time. Anila wanted to check what had created this strange phenomenon but she realized two of the four runes on Rais necklace had disappeared.

Water spiraled and became a twister around Anila as she stood there and thought 'did the curse become stronger? Why did it destroy ahead of time?'

She tossed a piece of crystal in the direction of Sumia and ascended through the layers. The twister divided into two. At first one vanished then after two breaths of time the other disappeared as well.

The crystal stopped in front of Sumia. The reflection could be seen in her deep blue eyes. She casually grabbed the crystal. "Activate all the sound rune."

"As you command protector"

She saw few tiny lines of azure water qi within the crystal. "We will meet very soon."

She took the beautiful oval cut crystal hung it at the end of the pearl string beautifully placed within her thick braided copper hair. She played with her wavy sidelocks and thought 'I had burned a pearl earlier but this is much nicer'. The rune mark on her forehead started spreading as she came within her room. The room locked by itself as water raised from the ground and froze. She went to bed and laid down on a comfy bed. A diagram of the rune had covered her whole body.

"This should be a good start. I don't know who you are but wait for me. No, try running away from me" The whole room became crystallized."

Anila opened the door and saw her son sitting down and already prepared everything needed to redraw the runes. Her heart became heavier. She didn't know, but she had water within her eyes. She saw her son was shivering from the coldness, but he was not making a sound. He set there for her patiently waiting for her. She saw his eyes and told him to close them. It seemed she knew about them. She replaced the runes on the slightly translucent ruby colored pendant and bars late.

Rais who shivered from exustion and bone-chilling cold but still looked out the window with a dry smile on his face.

"Hey Mom"

"Eh"

With a shaky voice Rais said, "Whoever placed the curse on us, I will separate the iron and the water from their blood."
